SimplyTire is now my go-to place for tires -- both for my car and my dad's. We had previously tried a chain Canadian tire store, but were left feeling cheated and ripped off. In contrast, SimplyTire is professional and transparent. Their website provides out-the-door pricing, and everyone, from the front desk to the person working on your car, is knowledge about tires. When we went to an automotive chain store, they installed 5-, 6-, and 15-year-old "new" tires! But we didn't realize this until 20 months later, when we started having issues with the tires. SimplyTire was just as angry as we were at the situation. They highlighted the dangers of such old tires: the rubber breaks down and the risk of a slow leak or blow out increases drastically. This posed a danger to us, as well as others on the road! Thank goodness my dad doesn't drive on the highway. SimplyTire installed tires manufactured less than 5 months prior, and showed us the DOT and date code for each tire! They were considerate of our time and our situation. Have a very bad experience with Simplytire today. Last year this time I purchased a set of new winter tires from them as well as 4 steel wheels and installed on site. Today when I change winter time, my mechanic noticed one of the wheel is obviously different from the other three (has different # of holes), which will cause safety issue if the different wheel has a different offset. I did experienced car swerving issues last winter on some type of highway road (e.g. if on grooved surface) after the change of winter tire. Thought it was the winter tire but now it is clear the different rim could very much be the reason. Called simplytire and their attitude was rude. Blamed me why I didn't notice it after the change last year instead of reflecting on the reckless work their shop worker mixing different Rims and putting customers in danger potentially. Said they don't care about any negative review new customs will come anyway...Has been a loyal customer with them for more than 15 years ever since Allen worked there and did the annual redflagdeals sale... It's a no brainer to come here for your tire and rim needs.. and wants. They post all their prices online and answer emails quickly. Their service is quick, clean and efficient. They offer to tighten your bolts after 400km as well. They also don't try to push the most expensive tire on you. Tell them what you value most and they will suggest the best for you. A quiet comfortable tire with long lasting treads are what most people want. They have a nice waiting room as well with complimentary tea and snacks in a room with a TV. Great place for purchasing new tires. They didn't damage my rims when mounting and when they noticed one of my lug nuts was coming to end of life, they offered a replacement at a nominal fee - I appreciated not having an expensive surprise cost. Retorqing was offered as a standard service included with the tire install and was a breeze. Just parked out front and a technician came out with a clicker wrench. Waiting room is clean, updated, and has Wi-Fi while you wait. I purchased a set of General Altimax RT43 and they were from recent stock (asked technician and he was able to roll out the tire to show the DOT stamp). The tires have handled well and I anticipate good treadlife. I wanted to purchase winters from them and I did find their prices competitive, but ultimately settled on a used pair on my student's budget. I've noticed their tire changeover fees are quite high. Worst experience ever. I dealt with a sales person named Joe. After about 10 emails back a forth (first email started nov 7 and last interaction was nov 22) I still couldn't confirm a time and date of my appointment to purchase winter tires and get a change over. Every email exchange, I would try to confirm a time an date, however joe would only respond with a date (available nov 26). When I responded with what time on Nov 26, he responds with nov 28 (again NO time slot). I respond AGAIN asking what time (and also annoyed my date has changed) he responds come nov 29 (yet another changed date and NO time slot). At time point I'm extremely annoyed and frustrated. he asks for a despot (without answering my initial questions on what time I need to show up). He then asks for a deposit which I pay the $300. Then a couple days later (after they have already accepted my deposit- they are very quick to take your money but not respond to emails), I email to confirm my time and date of appointment, he then tells me prices went up and it's a different price (yeah right). This is unacceptable as a deposit would mean an appointment + price was agreed upon. it is such a shady way of doing business. I have expressed my frustration in this whole ordeal and no apologies from joe. I have seen great reviews and the bad ones are related to sales rep joe. I suggest not working with him. He was extremely unprofessional and I will never return to simply tires nor will I ever recommend to anyone after this incident. Got quoted over email by Zook for winter tires and rims and they knew the exact specs that was manufacturer recommended for my car (unlike other places that tried to sell me whatever was in stock). Drove my new car from the nearby dealer (Vaughn mills) straight to simply tire and was done within the estimated 45 minutes. Brought my wife's minivan in a couple of weeks later and was in and out. Got all new summers tires at a reasonable price. Summer and here and it was time to get some new tires, had one cut right before winter and the DOT date was also 7 years ago. I normally shop or quote between Simply Tire and another place. Simply tire is just simply quick in terms of response and getting the work done. I juat had to email them the vehicle and tire size and they gave me a variety of options. In the end I picked a tired that was not on the list, thry gave me a price but it wasn't the cheapest but they were willing to price match it for me. But make sure you book an appointment as it gets really busy. I booked for 10:30am and it was packed that I had to park on the grass. Everything was ready by 10:50am. The only improvements: wish their quote came to a final price which includes the stewardship feel and taxes, and also a bit more detail oriented on the mail in rebate info. I've been a Simply Tire customer since I bought my first car three years ago. I bought my winter tires here because of the manger's helpfulness and would drive across town to get my tires changed seasonally. However on May 24th, I took my car in to have the tires switched over, I had the unfortunate pleasure of hearing how the staff speak about customers and their cars. Another customer in a white BMW wanted a picture of their car in front the store and I overheard an employee say, "Move all the cars out front...actually, just move the Golf, it's the only s***ty car out there." That Golf is my car and those were his exact words. I approached him and asked if he called my car "s***ty." The look on his face said he was caught. He tried to tell me some lie about how he was talking about moving cars somewhere "shady" and I misheard him. Simply Tire's in an industrial area with no shade anywhere nearby, I'm not buying that nonsense. He should've just apologized but he insisted on lying and telling me I was wrong. I realize I don't own a hot sports car and I'm not a big spender, but there's no reason to talk crap about customer's cars and lie to them when you're caught. Very pleased with the service and my new Michelin X-Ice xi3 winter tires. They were able to get my Nismo Juke in and out in 38 minutes! It was very smart that I made the reservation a month or so before the snow flew a few weeks ago, it was pretty busy! So always make an appointment! I got there right at 10am, which was lucky because of all of the construction going on around Keele and Finch. Steeles is all messed too. So give a bit extra time. I went across the street to the bakery, got myself a sandwich from the deli. Simply does have a waiting area with wifi, but i was hungry for a sandwich. My other tires were bagged up and marked, and placed in the back with cardboard underneath. I thought that was a great touch. I discovered them through a group buy from my car forum about 10 years ago and have been going nearly every year for at least one car for Winter or Summer tires. He always does a special for my car forum if you need tires and know that ahead of time. He gives you a discount if you pick them up loose, get them installed on rims, or installed all the way on your car. His staff bags up the old tires and puts them away nicely. They also offer a selection of a ton of different wheels plus can order in many designs and styles at great prices. There are also other services like caliper painting and decaling, tire repair, wheel lock removal, etc. You can always trust them to take care of you. The guys at the front are sharp guys and know their stuff when it comes to tires, torque spec, off-set, and hub rings. But can also get you some good pricing on everything. Of course, Allen himself is very approachable and will do everything he can to make sure you're happy with your purchase and experience. The best way to get a hold of them is to simply email them and Allen is super quick to respond to all of your questions and inquiries. They also have periodic specials on certain tires throughout the year so keep an eye out for that too! They have a huge selection of rims and tires for all makes and models! Recently I went into Simply Tire to get some Summer tires for my Moms Accord. I was in and out in 48 minutes. My winter tires I had on the car were neatly wrapped in tire bags and placed safely in the car. Their waiting room is huge. It has free wifi, a plasma tv, and plenty of books and magazines to occupy your mind while waiting. This place is super busy which is a great sign. Great tire store. I read that they get busy so instead of calling or emailing them, I drove in and talked to the rep about grabbing some winter tires. They were fully booked up but I booked an appointment for the next day. The counter person helped me pick out a winter tire package. I came in looking for Blizzaks or Xice 3s (read good reviews about them) but he said he liked really liked the Pirelli's Winter Ice. Since I've had the Xice 3s before, I said why not and bought the Pirelli's. Came in the next day for 11:30am, was back on the road at 11:50am. It probably helped that it was mid-week and mid-day, but they were fast and friendly. As I hopped in my car, they packed my summer tires in plastic bags and since not all 4 fit in the trunk, they put down a few cardboard pieces on my back seat and put 2 tires down on the back seat. A nice little touch, showing they care about your interior. The Pirellis are fantastic. I took the highway home and the tires were very very smooth and quiet. Even at 120km/h, it felt like I was driving on my summer tires, something I was not expecting (I was expecting some road noise). I will definitely be back the next time I need tires read more

Had decent experience in the past here with good prices on summer tires. Came for winters and one day i waited 20 min nobody talked to me they were all wasting time, came again and now waiting for 20 min for someone to bring me tires that were already mounted... should take 2min. But wait... it doesn't end here... they didn't even mount my tires. They gave me the new tires in bags and pretended i never left rims with them. Now they are slowly remembering. The guy at the desk, John, couldn't even muster an appology or an explanation... when i explained to him that an appology would be appropriate when they mess up the guy said with a really rude tone and an angry face "if it makes you happy, I'm sorry"... this guy is straight from the dark ages... Update: I go back a third time. They finally have my tires ready. It's a blizzard outside, winter storm with freezing rain etc. I decide I will give these guys another chance and see what they come up with, and ask them if they have time to put my winter wheels on the car. I explain that I want the 245s (the ones I just bought) on the rear and the 225s (they were in the backseat) in the front. While I'm waiting for the car, the store manager, Jay, comes by to ask me if I was the one who posted the negative review. He tells me "now we give you good service so go delete the review please". I'm thinking... you are still charging me 15 dollars a tire (which they didn't want to give me a receipt for, they just took the cash and that was it)... so it's not like he was doing something nice for me and asking me for a favor in return. He wasn't there to make sure I was feeling welcome and to go the extra distance to make it up to me that they wasted my time the previous day. If you walk in there with any bit of self respect and ask any question, they will respond rudely as if you are bothering them. I know this people for a few years and if you are looking to get best deal in north Toronto area this is best place to go. These guys were located across my office for a few year and Ive seen how their business has grown. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, whenever you need advice they are always happy to show you all available options. I believe they will match any price for tires and rims you find cheaper somewhere else. They do get busy during the season and its impossible to get hold of anybody through the phone. Same story with email sometimes takes up to 72 hours to reply. However if you are close by you can always go there and schedule an appointment. Bought 4 winter tires with rims all balanced for $1600. Balance weights fell off from two of them, luckily I noticed. Went back to re-balance after having to wait one month (November) because the shop was too busy to fix their mistake. I had to drive the car with unbalanced wheels. I couldn't help but make a review of Simply Tire. Here is my experience from start to finish: I researched several tire shops online. I could not find anyone offering the price that they did, so I decided to go with them. What I like is all their rates are on a PDF document available on their website. Whatever you see there is whatever you will be charged (except taxes). The actual installation/balancing is FREE, you only pay for the rims and tires. Based solely on price and the impression that they are a seasoned tire shop, I decided to go with them. I got the Michelin Xi3 winter tire package on my 2012 Honda Civic and paid a total of $883.34. Get them before December 15 and you'll get a $70 rebate from Michelin. Some places wanted to charge me $1200 for the exact same package! I tried to book an appointment via phone. They simply WILL NOT answer their phone, which they state on the answering machine due to the winter rush. So I tried to book through e-mail. They never responded to that e-mail and it has been over 2 weeks. Since I was in the area, I dropped by and booked an appointment in person. What confuses me is they have guys working on the counter and there are not any long lines. Why couldn't they answer the phone? When I went in person, I booked an appointment in less than 5 minutes. The earliest appointment they could give me would be 2 weeks later because of their full packed schedule. If you plan to get winter tires, I recommend getting your tires changed November or December, BUT BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT IN SEPTEMBER and they will at least answer their phone. So my appointment day comes and I'm scheduled for 11:30AM. I give them my keys at 11:30AM on the dot and the guy tells me it will be about an hour wait. EXACTLY 15 minutes later, a guy comes in saying "Honda Civic!" I thought there was a problem, but it turns out they were already finished! I was utterly shocked to see the time was 11:45AM and they were already done. I paid in 5 minutes, and I was out of there, for a total of 20 minutes! That means they removed the old tires, put the new tires with the new rims, balanced, all under 15 minutes. When I went to my car, everything looked nicely installed, rims and tires were brand new, nothing used. Inside I found my all-season tires nicely packaged in clear plastic bags, with each tire marked to indicate whether it is front, back, left or right so I can put them back in their proper places in the spring. The car drives nicely and is properly balanced. As far as the finished product is concerned, I am extremely happy and would easily recommend Simply Tire to anyone. I would give a full 5 stars if they would just answer their phone or e-mails promptly, and if the staff were a bit more friendly rather than indifferent. Warning - poor beside manner; tired dejected staff; unresponsive drone- like manner; very clearly they are simply hustling tires; mantra " ... we do 125 sets of tires a day ...". If you are dropping at least $1,000 plus bucks a modest show of courtesy would be appropriate - but it won't be delivered. I get more respect at any fill up station - just for buying a lottery ticket. Purchased a set of winter Hankook Tires with mount, balance and install and I'm very pleased with their service. Allen provided me with quotes for a number of options and recommendations. It was extremely helpful as I have zero knowledge on tires. Very quick responses and he was able to book an appointment within the same week. Prices were also fairly reasonable. The place is very busy and lots of walk-in customers, so it was definitely helpful to have an appointment booked. Front service staff were very friendly and it took about 30 mins to get the tires installed. There is a large waiting room with complimentary wifi, tea/ coffee, cookies. Tires were stored in plastic bags in my back trunk along with cardboard to separate each tire. They also offer tire storage as well for those who don't have space to store at home. Super nice place with great staff. This was not what I was expecting. I'm used to the usual grubby tire centres. This place looks really slick. A nice showroom and lounge. Service was professional without being too formal and it was a welcoming experience. I would recommend and I am going to do all of my tire servicing here from now on. Cheers! read more
