My daughter and I stopped in here today with no appointment, only to see if they had any mother of the bride dresses to look at. Not only did they have the best selection of dresses outside of the internet, the women working there were amazing. The boutique is beautiful and the customer service was amazing. We were welcomed and helped with kindness. The only reason I didn't buy my dress today, was that I hadn't planned on finding the perfect dress today. They were understanding and gracious. I work with many families that have purchased dresses here. they all suffer from ptsd. not only do they charge a fitting room fee, they request a tip,- at least 15 percent and they don't stand behind there measuring you for a dress if it does not fit, -could not sit in dress it was so tight- it's yours, if they alter it, it's your dry cleaners fault, hem was done incorrectly- alterations are way to expensive ($1000.00)and need to be redone by others. at many fine stores, if your dress is a certain price they alter for free has been my experience, there is a shop in Charlotte that alters all wedding gowns for no additional charge. shop wisely. read more

I usually do not post reviews, however I felt compelled to write one on this. Mother of the Bride and wedding gown were both purchased here. Both were beautiful and both were purchased at different times. After speaking to many friends and families in reference to this matter everyone I had spoken to was appalled that a boutique of this stature would ask for a tip. No one from New York to the Carolina's had ever heard of this. Obviously I was not thinking I was like sure. Not thinking when you give a 15-20% tip on thousands, it was a substantial tip. When I realized what I had done and was completely embarrassed to call them back, after a few weeks I finally did. Of course I got the usual song and dance that the girls were paid already etc... the owner of the boutique should have done the right thing and refunded a portion of the tip. Everyone can make a mistake and this was a big one on my part, but really? I work with the public, not on this level and I was ALWAYS taught to treat people the way you would want to be treated. BEWARE ladies when you're in that moment and everyone is happy and you've had your glass of champagne, be smart and not get caught up in "that" moment. I first found Simply Stunning on the internet and was able to browse through some of the gowns they carried. I was impressed with their selection and so decided to book an appointment. I was so happy when I was able to book a private appointment for my daughter w/out incurring extra charges. After booking, Michelle contacted me and wanted to know about my daughter, her taste, her venue, asked for her email and asked if she could personally contact her and other questions that I had never been asked before...in other words Top Notch customer service! The day came of my daughter's appointment. They followed all COVID rules and then we were able to remove our masks. They served us mimosas and sent us to start pulling gowns within our budget range. As we pulled gowns they took them and hung them in a beautiful dressing room with robes if needed. They then handed my daughter a special surprise. I will not say what this special surprise was...but it brought tears to all of us! Because of the COVID rules my sister and I were able to help my daughter try on all of these gorgeous gowns! Each one unique and beautiful in their own way! And the service these ladies bestowed upon my daughter made her feel like she was the only bride! I have pictured one of the gowns she tried on...not THE one. And she did say, "Yes to the dress!" If you are looking for a beautiful and unique experience where you want to be spoiled? I CANNOT believe Diva's has such negative reviews on Yelp. No, they don't have prom dresses, it says that in their website, no reason for 1 star there. Sure, it may be hard to find a larger size dress there, such is true for all bridal salons. Expensive? Unless the only other place you've looked is bridal mart, these dresses are SO reasonably priced. As for the service, AMAZING. Kathleen, the store owner, helped me pick the wedding dress I've always imagined in no time at all. She has an amazing vision and knows exactly what you are looking for. Not only did she help me say Yes to the perfect dress, she picked stunning matching earrings, a headband, and a belt for the dress. They were so willing to add and remove and details I liked and disliked that shopping for a dress couldn't have been easier. I also got 10% off of the very reasonably priced dress for buying on my first visit and 15% off accessories. On top of all of these great things I have to share, their selection is amazing! I am not usually one to write reviews, negative or positive, but the amazing experience I had at Diva's warrants a raving review! I had the best experience both times and I look forward to the many more wonderful experiences I will have there since I purchased by dress there two days ago. I went to Diva's back in April, I am a local and am getting married in July 2017 and I chose Diva's for convenience. I had been dress shopping one other time and it was horrible, but a good starting place I suppose. When I decided to go again in April 2016 was when I had my sister in town, and with Diva's being right down the road, I figured "why not?" I was hesitant to go and just look knowing that I wouldn't walk out with a dress that day, I thought they would pressure me into something. I spent 2 hours there the first time with Mariya and my sister (and one of my niece's) and found 4 amazingly beautiful dresses. I told Mariya that I wasn't ready to walk out with a dress that day and she respected that and said "I'll save the 4 dresses that you loved on your file if you ever want to come back." There's a deal they have if you buy your dress the day of your first appointment (and it is a great deal) but there was no pressure to commit. Throughout the process Mariya offered amazing advice, and pulled beautiful gowns, all in my price range. I showed her pictures on Pinterest and to my surprise and delight, they had some of the exact ones I pinned! Fast forward to July 2016, my family was all in town and my mom needed to see the dresses that I fell in love with so we went this past Saturday - my mom, sister and both nieces this time (9 yrs and 2.5 yrs). I tried on all 4 dresses again, narrowed down to 2, and showed Mariya a few more I had found. She pulled additional dresses for me, all the while catering to my sister, mom and entertaining my 2 nieces. The entire staff was so gracious at the circus we created at 10am in the morning in a beautiful, almost too pretty to touch store. The last dress, Mariya told me was out of my budget range but she pulled it because it wasn't too far off and it matched one I had pinned. My eyes lit up when I saw it, then they watered as soon as I put it on. It was the last dress of the day that I tried on, not one of the originals, and the first one that I cried in - so I knew it was the one. Mariya did it! She picked the perfect dress, she was so patient with me, offered her amazing advice and then a tissue when she found the perfect one (even offering an apology for pulling one out of my range which she said she would never do but she couldn't resist how perfect this one was for me). And she was so right. I can't say enough nice things about Mariya and the staff at Diva's. They were all so helpful, amazing, and supportive. For all the negative reviews, I am sorry they had a bad experience because now having gone twice, I'm looking forward to going back when my dress comes in and then the subsequent fittings! If you're looking to have the worse experience being a bride this is the place to go! Normally I'm one to check reviews before going anywhere, being newly engaged I had no idea I should of done this for bridal shops! Divas was offering a special for 10% off your dress if you say yes to it at your first visit. They didn't have the dress I originally went there wanting to try on - so they kept having me try on dresses I wasn't that into. I was feeling pressured to say yes to one of them after trying on so many especially to get the 10% off. I found a dress that was okay - had some of the things I wanted but they made me feel as if I needed to say "yes" and purchase the dress so I could get 10% off. My mom was buying the dress for me and due to her living in another state and me unable to reach her on the phone I didn't feel comfortable putting the 75% of the dress($1,700.00) deposit down. After trying to call my mom for 30 minutes and me feeling so much pressure my consultant then came up to me and my two friends to say I could pay $250.00 and I would have 30 days. This all happened on a Saturday late afternoon - when I finally got ahold of my mom she informed me things had changed (due to a family member passing) and she was unable to purchase a dress right now especially at this price range and Divas was closed. My friend that was there with me trying dresses on (who heard the consultant tell me I had 30 days with the $250.00 payment) called them for me (due to me working) the next day they were open on Tuesday and they were complete rude to her and told her that the $250.00 was non refundable and sorry about my luck. I then informed my mom what they said to my friend - my mom then tried calling them, spoke with the manager who was even more rude and outrageous. We have never been treated so poorly by a person let alone a business in our lives. Its so ridiculous how this over priced, poorly managed, customer service lacking business runs. I would completely understand if the dress was ordered - but the dress was not ordered (in order for the dress to be ordered you have to make the deposit of 75% of the dress) they told me: I could secure getting 10% off the dress by making a payment of $250.00 and it would be alright that I couldn't get ahold of my mom because I'd have 30 days. Yet they're still fighting me and not owning up to what they told me. They're claiming they never told me I had 30 days - they have no 30 day policies, even though they said it in front of me and 2 friends. If the $250.00 was non refundable I would of never paid it - I wasn't the one buying the dress I told them I couldn't pay the non refundable deposit because I needed to speak with my mom first, which is when they said I could pay $250.00 wait to hear from my mom and I'd be safe by having 30 days. This place is a joke and only care about charging WAY more than other surrounding bridal shops and stealing your money. **Oh and if you post negative reviews of Divas please expect your sales consultant will send you a private message which will include: 1.claiming that your wrong (which in customer service I was always taught the customer is always right - Divas does not practice this policy) 2.they are shocked at the audacity of your review 3.say "to call you disingenuous would be an understand" 4.will finally mention the fact that she did say I had "30 days" (even though the manager told my friend and mother that called them "we have no 30 day policy - she has no time limit to pick a dress") **I think someone at Divas should figure out *if they have/what is* the 30 day policy is so they can be clear/accurate with their customers 5.say "it is our policy NOT to allow pictures of videos of dresses in our store, but we bent this rule for you so that you could 'Facetime' with your mother who was out-of-state" - funny because they never said anything about this during my 2 hour visit 6.claim they spent "provided over 3 hours of exceptional customer service" HA what a joke! We spent 2 hours there if that (my appointment time and $250.00 rip off receipt will clarify that nonsense - not to mention their use of the word exceptional. 7.they will state "I am sorry that things have turned out to your dissatisfaction. However, you have not lost anything except your pride." And ask you to "please consider removing your negative review from Facebook and Yelp." 8.etc.... Thanks, but no. Me and my pride will keep our reviews. If you don't like getting negative feedback then you should probably figure out how to treat customers correctly! Divas has some very pretty dresses, which is the only reason I gave them two stars instead of one. However, their staff are beyond terrible. I went here to try on wedding dresses and back again with my mom for her mother of the bride dress. When I went for wedding dresses, they had lost my appointment time despite the fact I had email confirmation. They let me try on anyway, but the staff member assigned to us was very unhelpful. She was more worried about her own personal appearance than me and my wedding dress. And BEWARE: Divas will try to get you to buy your dress the day of by offering a 10% discount that day only. This is a ploy and is used to talk people into buying dresses they aren't sure about. I did not buy my wedding dress here. Now on to my mom's MOB dress experience. The lady who helped her was awful. She did not listen to what my mom wanted and continued to bring her things she didn't care for and that I flat out thought were ugly. I also told her no black dresses and she brought out many black dresses stating she knows I said no black but she thinks my mom would like them. Ugh! My mom put her clothes back on a number of times to leave and this woman would go get another dress and say anything she could think of to get my mom to buy it. It was annoying and was clear she just wanted a sale and didn't care about how my mom looked on her daughter's wedding day. Despite her terribleness, my mom found a dress she really liked, only to find out they couldn't even order it in her size! We were told before we got there that the MOB dresses ranged from $600-1,500. However, the dress my mom liked was $1,600. And after she fell in love with it, they let her know they couldn't order it and alterations would be around $600. She didn't buy it. The next day, I found the exact dress my mom wanted online at Saks.com, in her size, for under $500! I also have overheard who I can only assume is the manager be very rude and unhelpful to multiple customers. Not a great way to run a business with such high-end prices. UPDATE 1/25/16 Down to one star! I have been meaning to update my review and Diva's reply to my post reminded me to do so. My mom received a call about my yelp review for the sole purpose of asking her to ask me to take it down. You read that right, my mom received a call, not me, then was asked to tell me something! I laughed when she told me because I saw that others received a similar call about their negative reviews, but at least they were contacted directly. What's interesting about the fact they called my mom about my review is that my mom was supposed to receive a call the Tuesday following our visit to Diva's about the exact cost of alterations for the dress she liked. My mom was never contacted about her dress and two days after she was supposed to hear from Diva's, she received the call about my yelp review. During this call, my mom asked them why they did not call her about her dress. They claimed the reason was because the seamstress would need to see the dress. The point here is that they still should have called my mom on Tuesday as promised and let her know SOMETHING. That is what they said they would do, and they should have followed through. Any reputable business would have done this. My mom was unaware of what Yelp was, and after I explained it to her and she saw Diva's reviews for herself, her exact words to me were "I guess they need to get their act together." The fact that Diva's would reply to my review in the way they did is, at best, unprofessional. A boutique such as Diva's should have top notch service. Unfortunately, when it comes to customer service, Diva's fails miserably. To Diva's: Yelp is a place for opinions, and I am entitled to have my own; arguing with my opinion is useless and unproductive. Further, calling and asking people to take down their reviews only makes you look desperate and unfocused. Instead of wasting time on this, it would serve you well to spend this time improving your customer service and customer satisfaction while people are still in your store forming their opinions. I had a great experience visiting Diva's Boutique and Bridal. As a low-key and reserved shopper, I enjoyed the patient, no-pressure atmosphere. I am especially appreciative of the attentive service I received, considering I visited the salon without an appointment while visiting home over the holidays. I did not expect to find my dress, but was pleasantly surprised by the selection of beautiful dresses within my price range and desired style. I narrowed my selection to four dresses I would have been happy to purchase, and ultimately chose my dress from this group. I live in Seattle, so the attendant was helpful in providing arrangements for shipping and alterations across country. I recommend stopping by! read more

My daughter scheduled an appointment to select a wedding dress. For the most part that day went well. They asked us not to take photos. The given reason was the manufacture requests no photos. I believe there is another reason and it has nothing to do with the manufacturer. My daughter also looked at a veil with a price tag of $600 for a piece of sheer fabric with a few small shimmering crystals on a plain hair comb. I bought the exact same fabric for $24, plenty of small Swarovski crystals for $11. And the cost to make it from an excellent seamstress is $60. Total investment $95. Onto our next encounter. My daughter scheduled a dress fitting. We got there and they asked us if we had an appointment with the seamstress. Our response of courses was yes since I'm standing there holding her heavy wedding dress. The girl said "Oh, let me get her" and walked off. Now I'm still standing there holding this heavy wedding dress and not one person has offered us a place to hang it nor has anyone offered to take it to the fitting room. There was an employee standing directly in front of us at the reception desk doing absolutely nothing. She also never spoke. She appeared to be having a bad day based on the expression on her face. The girl who did speak finally came back and escorted us back into this roasting hot poorly lit claustrophobic room. When she came back she still did not offer to take the dress nor offer to hang it up once we got in the tiny little room. I hung it up. I took it out of the bag. I helped my daughter get into it. The seamstress (I use the term seamstress very loosely) stood there and watched me struggle to get it zipped. No offer to help. She then proceeded to pin her dress in the most awkward of places with safety pins, ripped the stitching that held all of the layers together, and had not 1 clue how to pin the dress for bustling. They wanted to charge almost $400 to pull the sides in, bustle the back and put bra cups in the front. Grossly overpriced. There's a lot more to this experience. The level of incompetence was astonishing. My daughter was almost in tears. The seamstress stepped out of the room for a few moments and my daughter and I spoke. When she returned we had her take the gazillion improperly placed safety pins out of the dress. We told her we were uncomfortable and we would have to reschedule. She looked a little stunned but honored our request. I still had to get my daughter out of the dress. I had to hang up the dress. I had to put the dress back in the bag. No one offered to help with any of it at any time during our visit. Now just to be clear I don't expect to have my behind kissed. However, in a business such as Diva's I do expect an elevated level of customer service. They did not display even the most basic level. Needless to say the alterations to my daughters dress are being done elsewhere. And that "elsewhere"will be receiving an excellent review. read more

I arrived at Divas as a maid of honor and I was told that "the manufacturer recommends that they not allow is to take photos". I don't care what their reasoning for the rule, but this is blasphemous. When the manufacturer want to buy the $1500+ dress for the bride themselves, then I am happy to oblige but since the bride is paying she should be able to have the photos to make the best decision about her day. Aside from that the boutique was not very well laid out with hugely dangerous blocks to stand on, a fall hazard waiting to happen. Most of the dresses straps were stretched out and the consultant didnt clip the back of the dress to show how the dress may fit if it were the correct size...so you're trying to step up on a 2' tall block in a dress that is falling off. I just didn't get the warm and fuzzy, our consultant was not helpful, and the selection was less than impressive. Customer service is important and they lacked where others did not. read more

I called before I went by, due to my limited time, and asked if they had any dresses in my price point. They stated that they did and to stop by. As soon as I stepped in the store, I was greeted by Mrs. Kathleen who helped me immensely! She assisted me while I was trying on dresses and also took pictures for me, which I was able to send to my parents. I ended up purchasing an AMAZING dress, that happened to be on sale and I am smiling from ear to ear. It was a very pleasurable experience and I would highly recommend this store!!! read more

She was so patient with all of us when sorting through what I wanted and didn't want. I came in there with an open mind and wanted to try on every style. Heather went right along with it and pulled a ton of looks for me to try. When I was getting discouraged, one of the other women pulled THE dress! When I put it on it was beautiful, but since it was such a big commitment we decided to go to lunch first to think it over. The ladies were very understanding and didn't pressure me at all to purchase right then and there, which I really appreciated. They even made lunch suggestions since we were from out of town. I found the one I wanted in a magazine and luckily Divas carried that designer. Since the dress was brand new, Divas special ordered the dress in so I could try it on. It was perfect and I ended up ordering the dress. It came in and they had the perfect veil and accessories to go with it. I couldn't be more pleased with this bridal shop. The ladies in the store were absolutely wonderful and extremely kind. They made the entire process very easy and fun. This shop has a very welcoming and casual atmosphere while providing expert guidance towards narrowing selections. Their inventory was easy to search through; divided by price and styles. I went into this shop to look for a Mother of the Bride dress during my lunch hour. I tried on a dress which was tight. Since I was on my lunch hour, I asked the store to hold it for me and gave them my credit card information. I called the store the next day and told them I thought the dress was too small for me and that I was going to look some more. I was told I had "bought the dress" and that all sales are final. I was stuck with this dress. I am extremely disappointed that the store did not inform me as I left the store that I was purchasing this dress, not just holding it. Buyer beware! read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I went for a bridal appointment and walked in not to be greeted by anyone. When finally acknowledged, I was asked to sign in and start gathering dresses I liked to try on. The girl helping didn't seem to have any knowledge of wedding dresses or things that I liked so I only tried on dresses I helped myself to finding. Once I was in dresses my mother and I were told that we couldn't take pictures of any of the dresses due to manufacturer's rules. Which I know is not true because I had already tried on several of the same dresses and had pictures in them from other places. I was trying to see if I could find a dress that would compare to one I had tried on at another boutique. Divas happened to have that dress in another color so when I tried it on it affirmed that was my dress. I looked at the price tag to discover that the exact same dress was $900 more there than the previous place. They have a price match policy, but I was told there was no way the other dress was selling the same dress that much cheaper and refused to match the price. After the manager started arguing with my mother and I about the other price and proceeding to get on the phone with her designer rep in front of all the other clients in the store we walked out. We went straight over to the other boutique and bought the same dress for $900 less with a company who valued our business. Wouldn't recommend their humiliating customer service to anyone! read more

I just recently purchased my wedding dress from Diva's and it has been a wonderful experience. I personally live in Charlotte but visited the store after a friend's family member had recommended Diva's. Before actually visiting Diva's, I called on the phone and asked if there were any plus sized gowns available on the rack since I waited 2 months before my wedding to search for a dress. The two ladies I spoke with on the phone were nice and provided details surrounding the different options that were available as well as what dress sizes were available. Whenever I entered Diva's, I was kindly greeted by one of the ladies that I spoke to on the phone and she had already selected a few dresses that could be possible options. I got really lucky and the first dress I tried on worked and looked awesome on me. My gown is high quality and was a cheaper price than the other bridal stores I visited. After selecting my gown, the top of my gown needed slight alterations due to the fact the bust area was slightly larger than my actual bust size. The alterations were handled quickly and look great. You can't even tell the top of my dress has been altered. Even though I selected a dress at the last minute that required alterations, I was able to pickup my dress well before my wedding date. Every time I entered Diva's I was kindly greeted by the staff no matter how many other customers were in the store. I would highly recommend Diva's to anyone because its a grade A experience. read more
