I have words to describe how blown away I was by Eclectic By Nature. I've always wanted to frequent stores like this but have always felt too intimidated as someone who doesn't know much about crystals or anything in this space. Walking up to the store, I immediately felt a sense of calm. There's a Free Little Library out front and I was able to find a unique book to take home with me. I walked up to the store (which has the look and feel of a small house) via a path that lead through a beautiful garden area and up to a charming front porch with seating that overlooked the garden. When I walked through the door, the staff was so warm and welcoming and kind. There was no condescension, no judgement, none of that type of energy. I had just come from working out and was giving off more Adidas vibes than earth mother vibes, and still they made me feel like I belonged there, which I was so grateful for. They also made their selves available to help while allowing me plenty of room to explore the store on my own. There was no excessive "hovering", which is something that's really important to me when I'm shopping, as I like to be able to think about items without trying to carry on a conversation. They had a beautiful collection of crystals and I was able to find a reasonably priced labradorite stone to keep with me during the new moon. When I went they were about to close so I didn't have time to fully explore everything in the space, but I know I'll be back again at some point. Not only am I excited to explore Eclectic by Nature, but I'm also excited to explore the other little shops on the street it's located on, all of which seemed to have wonderful energy just based on their exteriors. I'm so grateful to have found Eclectic By Nature. Truly a beautifully magical little space. read more

This place is in a quaint quiet house that has an energy that is welcoming. The cats were my favorite part. They literally own the place. You can get everything here from herbs, cards to stones at this location. Definitely a must see. read more

We had such a wonderful experience browsing and selecting crystals at Eclectic By Nature. We loved all the different colors and learning about all the different healing properties of each crystal. It is a woman owned boutique that specializes in spirituality items and gifts. It is full of jewelry, books, incense, crystals, teas, candles and so much more. the staff is lovely and so helpful. This place was recommended to me by a friend right after I moved to Greensboro. I finally decided to go the other weekend and I loved it! The pieces outside are absolutely beautiful and the employees (and cats) were great. It does get a bit cramped when there's a lot of people inside but it's manageable since there are multiple rooms. If Yelp allowed half stars I would give this a 4.5 only because it was a little pricier than other small crystal shops I've been to. I've been to this place two times already in the past month and I must say that I've learned so much. A co-worker suggested I come by to see if I could pick up anything to redirect some energy as I've had some insomnia issues. Tavane is amazing and very knowledgeable. She was very realistic and even if you are a skeptic, she put things in a way that even the most skeptic person will still want to know more. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Coming up it looks like a little house and there are two cats Merlin and Authur. Be sure not to let them out. But it's such a calm and welcoming spot that you can't help but to visit again and again even if it's just to look around. This is one of my new favorite places ever! Upon a friend's suggestion, my daughter and I stopped in just last weekend. It reminds me of all my favorite shops in Boone when I was in college. The staff is amazingly friendly and super knowledgeable. I instantly could feel the love walking into the shop. We browsed through all the stones, taking our time to read all of the descriptions. I purchased a garnet bracelet based on the card suggestions. It just spoke to me and I knew I had to have it! My daughter wanted to start learning how to read tarot cards so we purchased a beginner set with the meanings on the cards. We had a lot of fun that evening reading our cards. I am in love! The staff is wonderful and helpful. I never felt uncomfortable or judged for not knowing something. I had some severe pain from a recent tooth surgery and the owner just said "I have what can help you" and she did! My mom, who works in pain management said the woman was brilliant for suggesting it to me. They have any crystal you could want, cards, CBD, kraptom, and teas. Talks, books, rings and necklaces. We were traveling through Greensboro and decided to check out this shop since we don't have a decent metaphysical shop near our house. I was telling my children beforehand that there are two types of metaphysical shops I've been in over the past 20+ years -- those where you feel like you're playing in the attic of an amazing mage or wizard, and those where you feel like you're in a spa, with healing reiki emanating from the walls. Both are fun and lovely and have their place, but this one is definitely the latter. From the time we saw the store with its beautifully natural wildflower garden out front and purple accents, we knew we were entering somewhere peaceful and special. Inside had an open layout, very neat and with great flow. This is not as large as the other metaphysical shop in town by a long shot, but the items it carries are all lovely. Beautiful jewelry and pendants (including a variety of sterling silver, handmade pendants with crystals), nice rings, quality incense blends and a small selection of herbs. Gorgeous handcrafted pendulums, nice statues (I got a beautiful Cerridwen one), cards, stones, magnets, and other New Age gift items. Overall a smaller selection of higher quality products, so not quite as much to choose from, but what's there is perfect, and the overall experience of shopping here is pleasant and warm. read more

While it doesn't change the fact that the shop did not cater to our interests or needs, it absolutely helps to address the customer service concerns.*** My partner and I drove from Durham to Greensboro to visit this place, so our hopes may have been a little high, proportionate to the drive time. It's amazing to me that there aren't more metaphysical shops in the Triangle area - especially hippie Carrboro or eclectic Durham! After finding our way down crumbling side streets, we parked in the adjacent, very hilly parking lot across the street and walked up through a neglected garden area to a cute, if worn, front porch. When we opened the front door, the lady at the counter was busy and did not greet us. As I held the door for the couple behind us (who had their arms full with an infant and car carrier), they charged right past me as if I were invisible, exclaiming "30% off!!" (as the sign on the door said), to which the lady at the counter immediately responded "Hello!!" - clearly, these were frequent customers or friends, and my partner and I were just invisible. Not a great first impression. The shop itself is small, with a decent selection for the Neo-Pagan crowd. You'll find spell books, candles, incense, tea, oils, some tumbled gemstones, a handful of athames, wands, pentacles, tarot decks, pendulums, and the typical selection of dragon/fairy/tree/moon pendants. There was no particular "vibe" to this place - no obviously positive or negative energies from any of the items, from the people, from the location... The free sample of hot tea is appreciated, and the use of actual tea cups is charming and eco-friendly. There is at least one resident cat (black, of course), which is a bonus for me, but an unwelcome surprise for my partner, who is allergic. Bottom line: If you haven't visited many eclectic/metaphysical shops before, this may be interesting to you, but you can browse the entire selection in ten minutes, and you won't find anything particularly unique or compelling that you couldn't find elsewhere or online. I found the customer service during our brief visit to be unremarkable at best, and my partner, who is sensitive to energies, was disappointed that it felt more like a typical retail store than a consciously cultivated haven for positive energies or intentions; it was, for us, devoid of any metaphysical vibration. Still, it deserves two stars for the fact that it exists, that it does have a little bit of everything (on a very basic level), and that it offers a cup of free tea. If we'd had more time, we would have been more interested in checking out the cute little tea shop next door! read more

I love this store. Behind the adorable cottage with its enchanting front garden is a truly special space. Once you're inside, Tavane and her staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. The energy is positive and the resident cats (including a black one of course) add to the charm. You'll find a variety of tarot readers there throughout the month. I recommend Kathe Martin who is one of the most genuine and approachable people I've ever encountered. Aside from that, the store carries a nice selection of candles, incense blends, oils, and jewelry. EBN also has a full wall of roots and herbs and some lovely pendulums.
