First 1 star ever. This is only my fourth Yelp review in over 15 years -- and the first that isn't…read morefive stars. I usually write reviews to share great experiences, even when things aren't perfect, as long as people show effort and kindness. I came here for a small project with plans to purchase at least six slabs of quartzite over the next few months, plus several larger projects down the line. Albert assured me he'd send a photo and have my small piece cut the next day. Since then, I've called every day. On the second day, he didn't remember me. On the third, he didn't know what I needed, asked me to come back, and promised to call or text within 30 minutes -- but never did. I'm a loyal customer who likes to start small before committing to big projects. If a business treats the "small" jobs with respect, they earn the large ones. Unfortunately, this experience showed me the opposite. I won't be recommending this place, and I'll gladly wait to work with a company that values all customers, no matter the size of the project.

BA Kitchen & Bath Design - Master Bathroom upgrade in Marietta

BA Kitchen & Bath Design

We've worked with BA on 2 jobs across a 3 year period and are extremely satisfied with all aspects!…read moreTheir design was creative and made the best use of the available space in kitchens and baths. The advice in the kitchen area made it a much more useful work space than the original. The advice in the bath added room for a more spacious tub and modern toilet. All issues that arose were dealt with promptly and to the satisfaction of all. The property they renovated was 50 years old, yet they were able to meld old with new and preemptively replace infrastructure that was overdue for failure along the way at a lower cost. They have stood behind their work, even helping us to identify a problem that was unrelated to anything they did at no charge at a later time. We highly recommend!

The folks at BA were helpful, responsive, explained what needed to be done and helped us navigate all of the projects they headed. They worked mostly with my wife and just did an amazing job. They were even sensitive about our budget and made adjustments accordingly (marble and tile decisions, timing of when to do what, etc.). Anyways, I usually don't gush about a service provider but this team went above and beyond. So I guess I felt compelled to do the same. Highly recommend BA. You're doing yourself a favor and saving yourself multiple headaches. This team can do everything you need done.

My contractor for my bathroom renovation was delayed and David held the piece of Marble for me for a couple of months with a small deposit. That was the only good thing about my experience. When he arrived at my home I asked him to wear a mask. He gave me attitude but did it. Then the initial cuts were done improperly so he had to return a few days later. Not a big deal. When he returned I asked him to wear a mask again and he said he would leave if I asked him to wear a mask as he can't do it while he was working. I told him that I was sorry it was so hard for him but that I am not willing to risk mine and my family's health for marble. He finally agreed and did the install. The job is terrible...cuts not straight, areas not glued correctly, chips in the marble filled with an epoxy that has since turned orange. I told him that day that I didn't think it was right but he said that's the way it is supposed to look. I felt uncomfortable with him in my home so I asked him how much I owed him and he said he wanted cash. I told him I don't have cash and that I would write him a check. He reluctantly accepted it and left. The next day I sent him pictures and asked if he would please come and fix it. He said he was busy but would reach out when he was available. 6 days later I reach out to him and he agreed to come by. He arrives once again without a mask and I ask him to put one on and he flat out refuses. I told him I am uncomfortable with him being in my house without a mask and he told me that his chest hurt for 2 days after I made him wear the mask last time. He then says "Woman! I am in physical pain when I wear a mask and you don't care". I then asked him to leave my property. Between the incredible rudeness and terrible product I cannot recommend this company at all! Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

Atlanta Stoneworks - A section of the showroom

Atlanta Stoneworks

We used Atlanta stone work for our kitchen and our basement bar counter, back in August of 2019…read more I didn't write the review right away for a few reasons. One being, that I didn't want to write the review when emotions were high. And also, some of the issues didn't come up right away, and I wanted to give them time to fix it. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts on our part, they have not fixed anything. First off, the installers were beyond rude to me. While demo-ing, they took out the old counters, and then didn't appear to be removing the backsplash like I had asked when purchasing the granite. I asked them a few times, not sure if there was a language barrier? But they didn't appear to have any plans on removing the backsplash. I had to call their boss and have him ask them, and they finally did. But you could tell they weren't too happy about having to do this "extra" work. And were not pleased that I took the matter to their boss. Then they were installing the island piece and it was clearly much larger than what I had ordered. I couldn't open the fridge doors all the way. They guy said "it's ok you're skinny enough, you can squeeze in there. Big islands are better than small islands." I tried to explain that I would like to be able to open my fridge but they just said, no it looks great and proceeded to glue it into place. Again, I had to call the salesperson and ask them to have them cut it down to the correct size that I ordered. After that they were out the door within minutes. No sealing or anything like that. It looked good so I figured I would worry about that later. Other than the seam that was right where the faucet was, I was happy. The plumber they recommended came and installed the faucet the following day, but said it was unusual to have the seam right there where the faucet was. A couple of days later they faucet was wiggly. So we called him back and he came out and tightened it. A few days later it was wiggly again so we called a different plumber and he said the seam being right there around the faucet was suboptimal and would likely always cause an issue. But he tightened it and it lasted a few months at least. But it's such a hassle. I also noticed right away that the sink had zero angle to it. So the food just sat there on the bottom unless I manually shoved it down the drain. I mean, I didn't think to ask if the sink drains. That is a major design flaw. My sink now constantly looks gross. Anyway, a few months later my husband called and asked what material our counters were and if they were sealed. No one called him back. We emailed. No response texted. Nothing. Then we started noticing stains and dullness and etching on it. Even though I used special stone cleaner and always used a soft rag. If I left a lemon slice on the counter, the next day it had a permanent white dull area where the lemon was. So we called and complained and someone came out and agreed our counters looked awful. They assured us that they would come out and seal it and polish it up, good as new. They never came. We followed up many times and still no one has come. We were finally replacing our cabinets (we did it in a weird order! We thought our old cabinets would be ok but they didn't last as long as we wanted). So we replaced them knowing fair well the counter might crack in the process. We were lucky they didn't. And we were able to save them. However our cabinet guy asked us why we chose marble, since we have many small kids? I was like marble, no it's quartzite. He said, that's the same thing. Now I realize that I should have researched it a little more. I assumed it was just like quartz. I told the salesman that we had many kids and I needed something durable and maintenance free. And he assured me that this was super low maintenance and durable. Umm no. It's marble. Everything stains it. And everything takes the shine away. Especially when you don't know it's marble and they don't seal it. We've had several rental homes and flippers in the past and the stone installers always seal it or leave sealer for the home owner in my experience. Or at the very least explain how to care for it and let them know it's extremely fragile marble??? Or perhaps respond to the customer when they call with an issue? All in all, buyer beware. We had very rude installers. We were misinformed and steered in the wrong direction.. We've had terrible responsiveness and our counters aren't even 3 years old and they look awful? Between the janky sink, the awkward seam, the stains and dullness and etched areas... what a disappointment. Would not recommend to say the least.
