In the 2 weeks since he has been home I can spot the precursor behavior to aggression and intervene, thank to Jon's ability to teach me how to better communicate with the puppy. Board and train is a big step emotionally and financially. While we have had experience with special needs dogs, I was over my head here. My first responsibility is to the existing dog, and the idea of surrendering a deaf puppy was so disheartening to me that I would have tried anything to avoid it.
