I can't begin to say how extremely happy I am with the staff at Simply Nail Spa. But I have to give a huge shoutout to Henry! I went in today to have my nails done for Christmas. I showed Henry a picture of what I wanted hoping he could do it. I wasn't expecting perfection but something close. Let me tell you, this man is an Artist! HE NAILED IT! Never has another Nail Tech over the years and states have ever hit a design I showed them 100%. But Henry not only did an excellent job, he was very friendly and nice. He went over and above on my nails today. I can't say enough about him and the entire Salon. They are always nice and friendly. I highly recommend Henry and any of the other nail techs at the Salon. read more

No matter how busy they are they won't turn you away, they work together to tag team different clients if they're that busy. This was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had. Let me clarify, the salon was not busy at all. They ended up doing no chip manicure and pedicure at same time, twisting my hands this way and that. Both for $70.00 Amy, who is a perfectionist, did the manicure. Not sure of pedicurist, but, I have had her before and awful. She gives the softest leg massage ever. Did that really happen? The polish is uneven. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER ! never had an issue going here until today, nail tech did not know what he was doing messed up multiple times was constantly being rough with my toes and didn't care to do all steps for a proper pedicure WITH 2 ACRYLIC BIG TOES ! This nail salon is just OK- they are not the worst experience I've ever had, but certainly far from the best. I've had several pedicures at Simply Nail Spa and a few fills, but this is my first review. When they opened I had one decent experience there, but every visit since had been disappointing. Here's why: 1) My toenails always look like I painted them myself....looks passable, but too much polish at the cuticle(sometimes all over my cuticles- so doesn't look clean at all) and the last time there was clear polish ALL over the tips of my toes at the edge of my toe nails. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home or I would have asked them to fix it. 2) They didn't scrub my feet- even after I asked her to. So, my heels look awful and that's the whole reason I get pedicures. 3) I had to ask her more than once to even out my toenails- my right big toenail was MUCH longer than the left...as if she had forgotten to clip it. 4) She wouldn't stop asking/insisting that I get a fill after my pedicure. It hadn't even been two weeks since I got my nails done and I told her that, but she kept trying to upswell me to the point of annoyance. I'm not someone who enjoys sitting for several hours and I never get a mani/pedi on the same day...I explained this as well and she still persisted. read more

I've gone a solid 5 times here. Everyone is the area really likes them but I just can't do it anymore. I have 2-3 people rotating for a simple nail fill. I should have ONE person who does the service from start to finish. They are all talking to each other so loudly and unprofessionally that it grates my nerves while I'm trying to relax. i just got my nails done 4 days ago on monday and it is now friday, they are already lifting, they look like they've been on for much longer than i have had them on and in my opinion i think they do overcharge, i paid 40$ for nails that look like crap after a few days, don't even feel strong enough to stay on my nails, and 40$ down the drain. i am happy about my eyebrows though, they always do a good job on those. I don't know if maybe they're busy and they're rushing trying to do nails, but either way it's not professional, this is not the first time my nails have been bad, but this was the last straw i had to say something. After being a regular at this establishment. This place was packed this weekend for Mother's Day. I waited for approximately 3 hours for 3 people to receive a pedicure and two full-sets and 1 fill-in. While one of the people with me received a full set quickly. The other two people had to wait another 30 minutes for 1 person to be called. While there was some confusion about who was next. We waited for someone who arrived after us to go ahead of us. I brought the fact that we were at the establishment 1st up to the business and they apologized and said that we would be next. We waited and then what happened another customer who came after us went before me. I was upset at this point because I was patiently waiting for 3 1/2 hours to receive my service. I let the business know that I was next again and they told me that I needed to wait. I said that I wouldn't return because that was not fair. I was advised that the people had an appointment finally. I stated that communication is the key if you would have told me that the people had appointments then I wouldn't have gotten upset. Well I was told I didn't ask. Well that was the last straw for me. This establishment has some of the worst customer service and prefers to wait on customers that are not black. Yes I said it they put every white customer before me and my child even the child that was with me who was white. Unbelievable in this day and age you have to call a spade a spade. I won't return but I want this business to know that I have referred lots of clients to them and I will use word of mouth to let everyone know how they treated one of their use to be loyal customers. Poor customer service! Oh yeah my hair dresser uses that same excuse when I come into town from VA to NC so I know that trick when someone wants to put you 1st because they can. Any way if you want to deal with people making up excuses why you are the last one in the establishment then go visit Simply Nail Spa in Gloucester. I recently moved to the area, and have been struggling to find a salon that I really like. I called last minute for a repair and fill. Even though they appeared very busy, they got me in very quickly, were extremely polite and my nails look amazing. I did not feel like they were rushing at all, my nails were somehow done faster than usual, yet perfect. This will certainly be my new spot. read more

Will never go this location again. The staff made fun of a birthmark on my daughters leg and made her sad. This was her first time getting a pedicure and her experience was horrible. I am very disappointed in the staff thinking it is okay to poke, pull the hair, and laugh about her birthmark . We will never return to this location. I have been in Gloucester for about a year. I was super excited about this nail shop opening up. Since it has been open I have frequented this establishment 3 times. The first two times I had the same nail technician I got a pedicure and gel shellac manicure. Both times my shellac was peeling off within a week. I then have them about a three month break and went again to receive the same service. I got a different nail technician but had the same result. Great little spot In Gloucester, very clean and new. I went in the afternoon and there were multiple nail people working and I was seated within minutes. I got a thorough pedicure that lasted nearly an hour and was inexpensive at $25! They women doing my nails was very good and took her time which I appreciated. read more

I originally rated this shop 5 stars with the below review. Following this review and rating, I returned to this shop for a fourth time, and was very disappointed. My SNS manicure wouldn't dry for whatever reason, so my technician kept adding layers of color. I wanted two layers of pure white, and one layer of baby pink (which is a normal three layers). This has not been an issue in the past three trips. Six layers later, it finally dried, but my nails are extremely thick, and because they wouldn't dry properly, she couldn't use the grinder to smooth out the top layer. I now have lumpy nails that are way thick and the top coat isn't as glossy as it should be. This process took over an hour and a half. I then waited an additional 15 minutes for a pedicure, and was about to leave, but as I rolled my leggings down and got ready to go, my tech came over and something to the effect of "next time we will order a different color, sorry" and said someone would do my pedicure right away. My pedicure was in water that was barely above room temp. The pedicure itself was nice, but I couldn't get past my earlier experience with my nails. I feel a 3 star rating would be generous in hopes that this is just not their day. I would be cautious in recommending this shop. Original review: I've been here several times and always am very pleased with the outcome. Even on a busy Saturday, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I've had nearly every technician in Simply and haven't been disappointed yet. Their work is always wonderful and their customer service is great. I was looking for a more white pink dip powder color, but they didn't have anything that was what I wanted. Instead, they combined two different colors to create the perfect color. Love that they went above and beyond rather than just saying they didn't have the color. Definitely recommend. read more

This place was FANTASTIC!!! They were very kind and helpful! Today when I went in there wasn't a long wait time at all, I was seen quickly, within minutes! The lady that did my nails was very nice, she let my daughter pick out designs for my nails,.. and wasn't bothered that I brought my daughter in with me. I would HIGHLY recommend them! The nail art designs that were done were fabulous! I went with a Valentine's Day theme. Their facility is VERY clean, and organized when I went in new nail tools were opened! I'm not sure if they do this at every visit, seeing as today was my first time, but like I said they keep things CLEAN! I will Definitely be going back!
