When we initially registered for the program, we had a conversation with Ms. Keisha, the program's owner, to understand the details and expectations. During this conversation, we were provided with some information, but there were significant omissions. Keisha informed us that my daughter would complete 200 hours of theory and practical training at Simply Divine and then seek an additional 3200 hours of apprenticeship in any salon of her choosing. It was explicitly stated that Simply Divine did not interfere with the salon's operations and that my daughter would need to work out the apprenticeship details directly with the chosen salon owner. However, our frustration and difficulties began when we started searching for a salon to continue my daughters training after her 200 hours at Simply Divine had ended. Many salon owners were unwilling to work with apprentices, creating substantial barriers. My primary grievance with this program is the lack of transparency that we encountered, particularly from Keisha the program owner. Important details were withheld, and we feel that this may have been deliberate, with the intention of securing payment while making it extremely challenging for any student to find a suitable place for apprenticeship. To make matters worse, my daughter was informed that the hours she had completed at Simply Divine are not transferable to any other institution. This means that, if she cannot find a suitable trainer to complete her remaining hours as an apprentice, she would need to start all over again at a different educational institution. This revelation comes as a substantial financial burden for my family, particularly considering the high cost of gas. I believe that Keisha, being the professional in this field and the program's owner, has a moral and ethical obligation to provide potential participants with comprehensive details about the program. Failure to do so takes advantage of the ignorance of individuals, particularly young and naive students like my daughter. I am a single mother, and we were overjoyed when Kennedy had the opportunity to attend cosmetology school at a reduced cost. However, we have encountered numerous roadblocks along the way, making us question the value of this endeavor. Now, at the end of the apprenticeship, we have no place for my daughter to complete her training, and the hours she has already completed are non-transferable. This situation has incurred significant physical toll on me. I struggle with leg circulation making driving painful difficult however I scarified my physical health because we saw this opportunity as a blessing. When I spoke to Keisha the owner she was provoking, rude, unwilling to help us find a solution. I asked Keisha if my daughter can do her apprenticeship hours at simply divine and her exact words were "no I do not train anymore". I also asked if she can refer a salon since she has worked many years in this field and her answer was "no". She basically did not care per her own words "she did her part". My daughter was so happy to pursue on of her goals to be a licensed cosmologist and I feel really bad that all the work and hours she has put in does not count for anything. Be careful dealing with this school and program owner do your research and do not make the same mistake we made.

It was really nice and interesting experience as many teachers kept coming by each with tips of their own and giving long and honest feedback. I can go on and on about the experience but to sum it all up it's very nice and it made me feel like a student with how interactive and instructive the teachers are to the student as they had performed my haircut. Most importantly the haircut came out very nice and i was expecting middle standards but it actually was very good as if i went to a professional barbershop. I will for sure be returning.

Their pricing was more competitive than other schools offering a manicurist license, which made the decision even more practical without compromising quality. Ms. Carrie was a standout instructor her ability to break down the material and streamline the learning process made preparing for the state board feel structured, clear, and highly achievable! That level of guidance is invaluable. She is a great teacher! Mr.Lai is always kind, professional, and encouraging. He is always very considerate, and cares for every student! The environment itself is welcoming yet professional, creating a space that encourages growth while maintaining high standards. One of the standout aspects of this program is their flexibility. They were able to accommodate my schedule, making it possible to stay consistent despite having a busy lifestyle. They also brought in the creator of Sofgel to give a live demo, along with offering discounted products, which added a lot of value and real industry insight to the program. I left the program not only licensed, but confident in my skills and foundation. I would strongly recommend this school. Although it's a Chinese-based school, the program is fully accessible in English -200- hour online portion. Don't let that discourage you it's *very* manageable and accommodating for English-speaking students!

As a music major, they have excellent programs regarding the arts and have a separate building specifically for the arts. Although, sometimes music classes may be held at other buildings. I did finish with 70 credits with a 3.0 GPA although, when it comes to counseling and class advisory, they're not much help unfortunately. Basically for the most part, you do have to figure it out on your own. I generally did have a good experience and education at PCC. Especially with understanding with how music works when it comes to theory. Some of the learning is hands on and off. When it comes to college social life, if I'm being honest, it was great to make the connections I did...although, I should've mainly focused on trying to further my education rather than distracting myself. Other than that, it's generally a good community college if you're coming out of high school and a beautiful campus in my opinion.

So these days all the parking for the Sunday swap meet are inside the parking structure which is okay but usually it's a bit of a walk for people. I personally think that the college should hand out free water bottles to folks coming to this swap meet during the hot summer months which Pasadena can get into the 100 plus degrees.

During the time I was there, I personally observed conditions that did not meet what I would expect from a professional learning environment. Termites, cockroaches, and no state board mandated cleanliness. This made it difficult to feel comfortable and confident in the quality of the school. Second, I was strongly encouraged to be enrolled in the 600-hour manicurist program and they sold it to me by saying "if you do 600 hours instead of 400 you don't have to take the practical exam for state board." After enrolling, I later learned that California no longer requires a practical exam for manicurists as of 2022. I wish they had not lied to me before I committed, because it affected my understanding of my options and the time required. It felt like it was a way to get more money out of me. Overall, I would encourage anyone considering this school to research the licensing requirements carefully, ask detailed questions about program hour options, and visit the facility in person before enrolling so they can make a fully informed decision to not attend.
