We arrived on Friday for our reservation at 1 pm and there were two or three other groups there. The place is charming, with that homemade feel. They offer several options for afternoon tea, ranging from about £5 for a cake/scone and tea, to around £15 for the finger foods and lunch options. I opted for the former and had a scone with grapes (they were out of plain scones) and lemon ginger tea. My wife had the same scone with chamomile. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food and the lovely service we were given. They have more than just tea. They make proper cakes and serve breakfast and lunch, as well as offer unique specials. This is place is a must try!

You'll certainly wait to be tended too, and the visits from a server are very limited. Off to the far-side is a full service bar as well, and let me tell ya they make dang good espresso martinis (which I needed for the jet lag)! You'll find bathrooms tucked downstairs and they are oh so cute, with fun and colorful decor. You can tell photo-ops happen there :) But the real treat of it all is the rooftop with stunning view of River Mersey and the city skyline.
