The absolute worst company. They use aggressive business tactics where a limited signed contract becomes their indefinite believed right to charge your credit card even though no services are rendered. They make it impossible to stop services. I have never had to deal with a company like this before. My daughter had her last services 7 months ago. They continue to charge my credit card every month even after repeated phone calls and emails from me stating I do not give them permission to use my card. Did a series of 14 treatments and did absolutely nothing. Felt pain every other time so the settings weren't being adjusted every time I went. No signs of slowed hair growth so they just kept telling me to come back for more money. Wouldn't recommend these places that charge a monthly fee unless you want to waste money. Family member went for laser treatments as well. Payed monthly for 14 treatments and hasn't seen any change. So I'll start with the very few positives. The wait time isn't bad, the sell a few good after Lazer products. I can't find much good after that. They make the appts for ridiculously small amounts of time depending on what areas you are treating. So you feel rushed. But the main negative about Simplicity is their customer service/nasty rude staff up front! AND their scheduling! They are suppose to be scheduling you on a cycle with how your hair grows back. But yet they have on more than one occasion changed or canceled my appt without informing me or without me having a chance to come in asap so that my hair cycles aren't off next time! They show no concern for any inconvenience they cause. If I hadn't done one large Groupon payment that has me stuck on a membership here that is less than I could get elsewhere because I paid a bunch up front!....I would leave as fast as I could! There are many other places that don't have condescending front desk staff and who have great reviews! I strongly suggest using any other facility than this one! One last point to make and this is huge to me. I have a friend who works in this field, she actually trains the technicians on how to administer the Lazer hair removal. She was shocked that simplicity makes people pay and keep coming for 12-18 months in some cases that would mean coming in for 12-18 treatments! She has mentioned that if they start at the correct level that you can handle as the client, you can have as few as 5-6 procedures and be completely hairless! But they start you soo low which not only slows your process but Keri's you paying them monthly for much longer. That's pretty shady if you ask me! But lord the staff is just the worst! read more

This is good and clean location and it's also very convenient to access through freeway. The staff here are all friendly. My technician is Mayda which is very professional and extremely good at her job. She always makes the experience smooth and less painful for me( I have dark thick hair). She is very thorough and pays attention to details. I love how she's always full of energy and transfers that energy to others as well. I've been going to Simplicity Laser for a little over a year now. They asked to leave a review after my first few sessions but I never did because I hadn't seen the full progress of the year long contract of sessions. Fast forward 10 months later. I think I have two sessions left and guess what my legs and vagina still grow back consistently. The only area I can truly say improved was my under arms. Like another reviewer said, I always feel like they aren't appropriately adjusting their settings. I've asked at every appt and they don't seem to change them. I complain about the growth and they just keep saying everyone is different and it depends on how course your hair is. I honestly feel after 11 months they should be aware of my hair growth patterns and what my settings should be. I mean come on my wax gal can tell me exactly what my hair growth patterns are. I definitely got taken for my money because after this I will still have to go somewhere else for the results I want. I don't recommend Simplicity for laser hair removal. Staff is nice but they are super unforgiving on the late or no show fee at $35 per session missed WHEN THE SESSION IS 15 mins or less in the first place. read more

Completed a 5 session package on my full Brazilian about 8 years ago at a different location, I saw complete hair loss, like no hair growth at all for a couple of years. When I noticed the hair growing back it grew back in slowly, patches thin hair until it eventually grew back in almost back to normal (maybe 5 or 6 years after initial 5 treatment package ) so I decided to purchase the 18 month membership for Brazilian and underarms at simplicity, I'm disappointed to find that just months after the 18 months I'm noticing hair growth. I must've gotten 12-14 treatments in those 18 months and I feel that I should have complete loss of hair growth, it should be completely hairless for at least a few years imo. I don't know if my body grew a resistance to the treatments or what but def disappointed after all the time spent and money lost I was promised complete hair loss unless I had a hormonal change or pregnancy which I've had neither of the two. I'm giving 3 stars because they're kind and good customer service but can't give more due to the hair growing back in not even 2 months after last laser treatment. read more

The staff at the Glendale location were decently friendly. The only thing that I did not like is that they didn't honor any more discounts once I've already received a discount. I paid close to $900 for unlimited LHR for a year through the Simplicity website and I tried to purchase another discount through Groupon once my year was complete and I told that they would not honor it due to previously having a discount. To NEVER honor another discount is a bit much in my opinion but I guess it's business.....*shrugs*....... As far as treatment is concerned, it really helped A LOT! Very bad service. I signed up as a new member in February 2020. I was scheduled for my very first laser treatment in March. The lock down happened right after my first treatment. During the lock down I continued to be charged monthly for my membership fee throughout the duration of your closure, and without service. I called and let them know that due to covid, and job furloughs due to lockdowns I would not be continuing with laser and i may be back in the future. I was told I can freeze my account with no charges until I was ready to come back in, and if I decided to cancel to just call back without penalty. I am now at 10 months of charges from Simplicity laser when I have had 1 service due to state mandates, regulations, and your store closures. I called today and was told if I cancel I would again be charged $199 cancellation fee and no refunds for any months of closure. They said I can only extend my contract to make up the missed time. I had two different sessions with different technicians with about the same result, unlike other locations, the techs at the Glendale office seem to be in a rush to get you in and out and don't make sure to cover the areas thoroughly. I overheard another customer screaming in pain and found it odd until it was my turn... wow! Just quick, not stopping, no consideration for pain and when it was my legs the lady went up and down in crooked lines like a crazy person mowing the lawn, no thank you! I'm glad I did most of my treatment at a different location because it would certainly had been ineffective had I done it here and laser treatments are not cheap. read more

I only continue going here because I got stuck in a confusing package and I'll basically throw my money down the drain if I don't. I thought I was booking 10 sessions underarm/bikini/upper lip and chin and somehow got stuck with 18 months of payments and still have 10 long, long months to go. I haven't gone since April and didn't know my sessions don't roll over.. so I lost 3 months of treatment and $. I froze my session for 3 months but I still have to pay the full amount. This place went a little (lot) overboard with the covid restrictions. We understand you want to take precautions but the entire place smells like someone bleached it down 3 times and they even took away all their lobby chairs. (ALL of them) So you had to knock to get in (your mask cannot be below your eyeballs or you get haggled), sign in, sanitize, and grab a clean pen and stand around until they're ready to take your back. And during checkout you cannot stand an inch in front of the sticker on the floor or else somehow you're exposing covid through your mask and through their glass barriers. I'm all for safety but not when it starts to make your customers feel uncomfortable and your front desk sound rude. I've had one or two nice ladies work on me so 1 extra star for that. I'm really waiting for my membership to end so I can find a friendlier new location. read more

Worst laser treatments ever! Of 7 treatments, 1 was semi thorough. The other 6 were badly pass overs. Today, technician was angry because I refused to buy their product for after care. She literally zapped the laser 3 times on each side of my bikini line and said I was done. She proceeded to tell me if I don't buy the after care product, I will only be treated at the lowest level laser from this point forward. This technician tried to tell me the laser treatment won't work at all if I don't buy and use aftercare product. Really?! Spend the money and go to a professional laser center that operates under a medical license with estheticians. You might pay more for the treatments but you won't need as many and you will end up much better off. This place is a racket! read more

The staff are polite and that is the end of my compliment. 2 years later and I have minimal results. I talked over and over again to management and I was never satisfied with their solution to the fact that I was not seeing results. Because basically the solution I was given was to continue to pay until I saw results. I was told to: shave the day of; shave the night before; exfoliate; come more often; I was told that I informed the staff (WHICH I DID NOT) that I have sensitive skin so they laser setting remained low, and then finally that I can continue to pay. I used this place for two and half years. That's a long time and I could still use probably another two years of treatments at this rate. But not from this place anymore. For some unknown reason, they let me schedule an appointment (my last appointment) two days after my membership expired. Simplicity cancelled it, without a call or message to me. I had to get a baby sitter, and I showed up for my appointment. They didn't take me. I called and management said I have to pay more if I want that last appointment. Management does not take responsibility for any of their actions. They tried to tell me it was my fault. An employee called me, as management told them to, and she just told me about how many appointments I have had and about Covid19. She said it was no ones fault. No ones fault that simplicity cancelled my appointment. No ones fault that simplicity allowed me to schedule the appointment past my membership, otherwise I would've made it a few days sooner. No ones fault that simplicity doesn't care since I'm not paying anymore. This whole situation was ridiculous. They didn't fix it. They didn't even take responsibility. What a bad taste in my mouth about this place I've been using for over two years. I wouldn't recommend. It's not worth the headache. I probably should have better results since I've been doing laser hair removal here so long. Looks like it's time to find a place that cares about their customers and can be direct. Positives-its clean and some of the techs are nice. Cons- worst business model ever. You can't call the store front directly to make appointments you have to call a 1-800 number and get put on hold FOREVER. You also can't rebook with techs you like. It's random every single time so it makes the experience extremely impersonal. The manager and front desk girl seem to hate working there. The customer service is dismal. My comments do not relate to the service provided as much as their policies. I was in the hospital overnight and called to cancel my appointment while at the hospital which was the following morning and was told they would waive my $20.00 fee "one time"...I recognize why the policy exists, but I have been attending monthly for nearly a year and came to a second situation where I had to cancel based on a work appointment that came up. I was charged $20.00 with no exceptions. I find the policy disappointing and unforgiving. $20.00 is more than the original monthly payment i even provide. I asked and requested that instead, they just take my monthly charge and I skip a treatment. They would not accept that. Secondly, I tried to switch to the Scottsdale location after attending the Glendale location over the course of the last 9-10 months. I was told by phone they could do that, but that all future appointments would have to be held at that location because a $50.00 medical record transfer fee would be issued to my account if I switched back to Glendale. I told the rep that one of the reasons I chose Simplicity Laser is because it had multiple locations. Thirdly, in order to up sell their promotions, they have pointed out other areas of facial hair that they see which I routinely express I am not interested in doing. I cannot afford to pay for and/or am not interested in having additional treatments. On multiple occasions, they have said "Are you sure there are no other areas you're interested in? It looks like you have some facial hair here along your chin line too" I hope in the future they might revisit the way that they promote their sales, as not to damage the self esteem of their paying customers. All this to say, I'm trapped in a membership with a company that I do not like. Don't do what I did. Research their small print. There's a lot of it. read more

As I'm sitting here in the lobby (they're 20 minutes late for my appointment), I couldn't be happier that this will be my last appointment. Thankfully I only signed up for the month to month ($10 more than the 18 month contract for $99 a month) and have cancelled it as of April 3. Fingers crossed that no unauthorized charges occur beyond that. The overall laser product is good, WHEN it's performed correctly, which is why I'm giving them two stars. The customer service is a whole different story. Calling in to their 800 number can take forever to get through to someone and you don't have a choice because there isn't a direct number for each location. Some technicians are nice and do a good job (i.e. Getting all areas that are supposed to be treated) and others are not (e.g. running the laser tool once very quickly over the area). It's hit or miss and when they miss, it sucks especially given the price tag. I am of medium complexion with dark hair, but have very patchy hair growth due to the way some technicians performed the laser removal and still have to shave frequently. Scheduling is also terrible as it can take several weeks or even two months to get an appointment. When they reschedule you, due to machine maintenance or whatever else, it can be within a days notice even though they require 48 hours for you to reschedule on your end or they charge you a fee. With so many places offering laser hair removal, please choose somewhere else with better reviews and better customer service. Yes the Groupon to start may seem like a good deal, but even that and their monthly packages are not worth the spotty service that you receive. read more

I had wanted to try laser hair for quite sometime, so when I came across a Groupon deal last year I decided to test my underarms first so see how the results were, and how high my pain tolerance would be. I used a promo in combination with a Groupon so I ended up paying only $60 for 8 underarm treatments! Woo hoo! I must say calling to make my first apt took weeks since no one would answer, I ended up having to email the company telling them no one would answer my call which didn't amount to anything and one day after 30 min waiting on the phone my call was finally taken and my first apt was set. After that it was a breeze since they scheduled you in for your next apt after each session 6 weeks out, and they have text message reminders, email, and they call you to remind you of your upcoming apt. I was so happy with the results after just one treatment I saw hair falling out, so decided to sign up for the full Brazilian treatment through their website for only $200 for 6 treatments. I decided to buy their numbing cream, which I believe was $45 for just a tiny bottle. I used it every time as directed but it didn't seem to help at all. What I found most helpful for the pain was sitting on an icy brick on the way there, and holding it under my armpits in the car just before I went in. Every single apt with the exception of my last apt yesterday, I was taken back in less than 5 minutes, and every apt itself only lasted 5 min for both armpits and full Brazilian, it was very fast! I do however think they could have been more thorough. Sometimes I swear they only did one half of my Brazilian because each tech had a different way of addressing the area. I had 3 or 4 different techs who did my treatments over the course of a year. One of them who is apparently notorious for turning the laser up too high which resulted in the most pain I had ever experienced (literally was convulsing on the table) but also I have to say was my most effective treatment. I lost so much hair after that one. I also realized too why that apt was so painful because the lady who was preforming my laser forgot to turn on the air that is suppose to blow cool air out during the laser treatment. So make sure you can hear the air is on before they start your treatment. After everything was all said and done I am satisfied with the results. I have dark blonde hair so wasn't even sure I would see results, but I have virtually 0 hair in my armpits now after my 8 treatments. Like other reviews have started they do try to sell you on signing up for the 18 month program, but for me I was waiting to see how my results would be first and because I was so happy with them, i'm glad I didn't sign up. If I was treating multiple areas that still needed treatment I would sign up for the monthly or 18 month plan. As far as my full Brazilian treatment goes, I will still have to shave but I expected that after only 6 treatments on such a large area. Each hair has essentially 3 "lives" so each hairs lifecycle has to be killed which would take more than 6 treatments to achieve. But because a lot of the hairs were eliminated my hairs are a lot more sparse, and are really fine so I don't shave as often and when I do I don't get razor burn. Over all I would go back for future treatments, and I would recommend this company to friends. As long as you have realistic expectations on results for the number of treatments you sign up for, and that "beauty is pain" this place delivers. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. The front staff is very unwelcoming and have a way of making you feel uncomfortable. They also try to upsale you each and every time you come in. If the girl doing your laser treatment senses that you are not interested in any upsales they are extremely short with you and do a bad job. I have come here 3 times now and have not had any reduction at all in my underarm hair growth. I am still shaving every day. When I come in the girl only quickly runs the machine over my underarm area for less than half a second, missing many spots, and I don't feel a thing. I'm told I should feel a little sting, pinch, or zap but I feel absolutely nothing and question whether the machine is even on. I have a feeling I am going to need to go elsewhere when I complete my 8 sessions here if I want the job done right. This location is AWFUL! I live in the far west valley and the Glendale location is the closest to me. I purchased a Groupon the summer of 2017. I called the 1-800 number to schedule my appointment as instructed. I was informed the Glendale clinic was booked out for 6-8 weeks. I was given the option to start my treatment in Scottsdale then transfer to Glendale once I was established. Anxious to get my treatment started I agreed. Fast forward to my appointment at the Glendale location. I arrived and was greeted as soon as I walked in. I noticed a fine layer of dust on the wood floor and the hideous green runners were stained. I was slightly put off but was called back for my treatment fairly quickly. The technician brusquely asked if I had any antibiotics or sun exposure then hurriedly performed my laser treatment. In the wrong area. When she was finished I showed her the front of neck area that was supposed to be treated. She told me that my file said chin and that's what she treated. I told her the Scottsdale clinic treated the correct area and I didn't care what they call it the area she zapped was wrong. Apparently there is no continuity in what constitutes the chin area and what constitutes the front of neck area. I shrugged and argued the point and finally left with no resolution vowing that I would be more specific next time. I continued going every 6 weeks noting the Sierra floor, overflowing garbage cans and rude, abrupt demeanor of the techs each time I was there. The final straw happened about 6 months ago when I was treated so rudely by the tech during my treatment then she straight up rolled her eyes at me when I tried to discuss my treatment package with her. I called corporate who promised to look into the situation. That was moot. The clinic manager flat out lied and documented that she spoke with me and the issue was resolved when in reality, I had never received a call. This location is filthy, the techs are rude and unprofessional and to top it off, I still have massive hair growth after 12 treatments so it was all for naught anyway! I now understand why they have to advertise on Groupon. They don't have enough positive word of mouth to keep their half-assed operation profitable. read more

I have a crazy work schedule and at times I run a few minutes late , they always are willing to fit me in. Before finding about Simplicity I went to another place that wanted to charge me 7k for laser hair removal! With simplicity they are affordable and I can see a great reduction in hair !
