I've been a client here for over a year, and Abby is the first esthetician who truly made me feel like I received a full, thorough facial and back treatment. I've had the absolute worst experience with the female who identifies herself as the "manager " Jasmine. After a very unpleasant experience she decided she's an entitled to double down on her disgusting behavior towards me. At this point I can only conclude her treatment towards me and her inability to respect my stated boundaries is deeply rooted beyond her role as a "manager" at this establishment. I have been a member for a few years. The quality of the service continues to decline, many staffing changes/ turnover now perhaps less experienced estheticians? This micro needling was a waste of time and money. Face isn't even red despite telling girl that I have had this many times so ok to advance the settings deeper. During the 15 min while face was being numbed they used to massage arms or neck. Tech just sat behind my head on her phone. Awkward! Products are over priced and inferior to other salons. Will be cancelling my membership. Technology they have for services is outdated and inferior to other spa's. Will not be going back read more

Customer service continues to DECLINE a spa should be an experience of relaxation from beginning to end! The front lobby/ waiting room is very small. There were about 10 aestheticians talking and laughing loudly. During the facial the warm steamer was not used. First I was told that the machine was not working then she corrected herself by saying that the warm steam was not offered for that facial. A light shoulder and arm massage was also previously offered. I was informed that it was not included with the facial that I selected. When it has been in all the past facials I have gotten there in past. I do believe the manager was there and intervened. She was dismissive of my concerns and said we had a good deal because we got a discounted price on facial but that was not the case. I bought that deal for mother day at the price they offered. I was not even offered any kind of apology for the equipment not working during my facial. I mentioned that I would more than likely not be back to spa and the response was "OK" I don't have a problem paying full price or buying deal offered by the spa but I do have a problem poor service after they have your money. There are plenty of spas around and I am happy I can take my business elsewhere. Do not waste your time or money at Pure Vanity if you want to relax or have a good experience. read more

I would do a 1 but the poor girl who did my apt was so new that I feel it's managements fault for allowing her to work on paying clients. First I saw Emily who was so experienced. Saw her twice then she left. Then I found Donna and had her one time and then she left. So when I called to make an apt I asked for the most experienced esthetician since I was going to be doing an extensive facial. Yesterday I had a $279 facial that felt like a practice run. The first thing I ask for every time I'm there is for the table to be heated due to a bad back. She could not turn it on, and there was nobody there that could help her. During the phone call I had requested an add-on of microplaning and brow cleanup to be part of my facial, which was going to be about 80 minutes. The receptionist said no problem I noted it and said she would have plenty of time. During the session the I asked the esthetician about the add ons and she said that was not on the schedule and that she had to go check with the front desk which meant she had to leave to make sure she had time to do that for me, even though it was requested prior to me being there. I asked her while she was out to check to see if somebody knew how to turn on the table heater and still no one could help. OK now finally the facial....first I had one hot towel the entire time. All the water she used was cold. I asked for a blanket because I was so cold. I have never received micro needling and not turn red at all. My face was numb from the cream. However, I did not feel any of the needling and she said she was on a very high frequency. I took a picture of my face after and it looked like I had a lot of product in my face, but no needling. and today I normally would be so red and starting to peel and there is absolutely no sign of micro needling. She then during the hydra facial the suction and was just putting dots on my face and never dragged it straight across and when I asked she said she was just trained and this is what she was taught. So much for the experienced esthetician. Said she was told it was only to be dragged across the T zone. I've had several of these and never not once has it been just dotted on my face and rubbed in. After the session was done I helped myself to the lip balm because that wasn't put on me either. I asked for a manager to call me back immediately and it's been over 24 hours and I'm still waiting for a callback. I have been a member 10 months and want out of the contract ASAP since PV Can't provide the service there promised. I would like what ever funds are left refunded. read more

There were pros and cons to this visit. I wish it was more of a 5 star "perfect", but I guess I don't have a lot of experience as this was my first facial ever. Pros: -Clean -The facial itself was amazing and relaxing -my skin definitely feels amazing -I left with some good products I may never have discovered -I am willing to go back another time Cons: -the "massage" was super short. I've had a lot of massages so I was very disappointed as I thought I would be leaving more relaxed than I did -felt like they were trying to sell me their products the whole time. I loved everyone that worked in the Scottsdale location. From booking, to checking in, to the aesthetician, they were all friendly and professional. The office is clean and welcoming. I'm having a hard time leaving a bad review but after spending a FORTUNE on laser hair removal (Brazilian), I have NO results. I got a membership and was told that the hair removal would be "permanent" after 6-8 months of treatments and that after that I would require "touch-ups" every 6 months. After a year of treatments (1 per month), I am still shaving as often as I used to. After spending over $1000.00, I would at least expect to have slower or less hair growth but that is not the case. I did get a Dermaplaning Facial which I loved, which is why I'm giving an extra star. Very disappointing. read more

This was my second time here and what a disappointment this time around. I went for the hour microderm facial. First, as I was walking out of the bathroom, the esthetician said my name then pointed to our room. She didn't even introduce herself. I still don't know what her name was. Second, She didn't ask me about any skin concerns. She did confirm allergies but after she had started. You can hear people talking in the front desk area and music through the walls. Perhaps my biggest frustration with the whole thing: She brought me to the room at 1:27 and started at 1:35 yet she finished at 2:15 and I walked out at 2:18 to the front desk. Not even 50 minutes of treatment. I asked the front desk if I was supposed to get the hour facial and they said these excuses: "yes you got the hour" "oh it's more like 50 minutes because you get 10 minutes to change" "I brought you back early." 40 minutes when you're supposed to get at least 50 minutes ends up feeling super rushed. When you go for a spa treatment, you expect the full experience and treatment time whether it's a resort spa or a boutique chain spa. Sadly, this place is not it. read more

Let's just say I liked it so much I signed up for a membership that day. No pressure was placed on me from the staff to purchase this or purchase any product. The staff is friendly and very professional. Emily does a great job explaining everything she's doing, the results and aftercare. The monthly membership fee goes towards facials or treatments you chose. They also do monthly specials so you can try different treatments at a discount price, which is really nice. You get a chance to see what you like best without paying regular price. I've done micro-needling, dermaplaning, skin infusion, wrinkle reduction and hydra facial. I am happy with my results and would gladly recommend PV to my friends. read more

The overall look of the salon was very nice and clean. Also, a great first impression was made on the phone when I booked my appt with the receptionist! I will say I am a former Aesthetician and had higher expectations of the experience than what I received. The facial specialist should briefly discuss the products being used throughout the process. She went through the physical motions of a facial, but never told me about any of the products being used or asked if I had any allergies. She also didn't perform a skin analysis to determine what type of skin I have and therefore what products she could recommend for my skin type, had she created a dialogue with me. She is definitely not maximizing all the wonderful products you have to sell there and missed the opportunity to talk about at least one product with me in a non pushy way. I asked what she was using around my eyes, and her response was, "eye cream..." Duh! Her massage needs work as it was very light and awkward, especially on the neck. Her greeting to me was, "Are you ready?" Just small details in a facial experience that make all the difference between a mediocre facial versus a fantastic one where I want to go back for more. I realize she might be newer to the industry, and a lot of this stuff comes with time, confidence and experience. I was there once myself, and I hope this constructive feedback is helpful. read more

The pricing is very reasonable, and my questions are always answered! I'm very happy with Pure Vanity! I have had laser hair removal done a few times at many other places over several years , and I had WAY better results in two treatments at Pure Vanity than several treatments at other places combined! I highly recommend them for laser hair removal. The membership is worth it because you pay monthly and even if you don't use it, it get saved to your account so you can use it all at once when you're ready or spread it out. First time guest Microdermabrasion Facial is $49 ($85 value). They do have a monthly membership. Same member facial is $59. I'm someone who doesn't do facials or spa services often so it's a bit discouraging to see the difference from $49 to $85. I DID NOT feel pressured by staff to purchase anything. I went for the $49 introduction facial (microdermabrasion) They assured me that it would be altered to my skin concerns because my main focus was extractions. The facial was relaxing but not at all what I needed. The 5+ fragrance filled products she applied was too much for my skin. She followed with extracting 3 pimples and brushed away the discharge with her hands and proceeded to feel around my face. In addition the upselling of products and services was too much. If your services/products are good people will naturally buy and keep coming back. I still rate 2 stars because the women were polite. read more
