Now it's been 'installed' into this delightful old school it's almost nice to have to go to the doctors. There is ample parking at the back, unless you go at school time as the parents park here to pick their kids up. The waiting area is small but ok with a large mural of animals on the wall and lots to do for the kids while they wait. They've stopped calling your name out now though and instead have an sign that flashes up your name and doctor which is annoying because some seats face away from the reception desk so you don't know when it pops up. This is if you process your own arrival into the computer screen as you come in- if you forget you could be sitting there forever. It makes you wonder what the reception staff actually do now all these little jobs are taken away from them. They certainly don't like answering the phone. The three main doctors are very nice and make you feel at ease.

In addition to sauna, steam room, jucuzzi and shower facilities there is also internet access - inclusive within the admission cost, as well as free coffee and tea refreshments. The staff and clientele are friendly, and will show first time users around, if they wish. Fresh towels are available too, which is refreshing when you may have worked up a sweat whilst there.

I CANNOT praise the doctors highly enough - not so certain members of the reception staff! I suffer…read morefrom PTSD, and I can suffer from severe panic attacks. This happened recently, and it caused me to faint. Later I was told that the receptionist said "Oh he's done this before - I'm on ho,d on the phone". NONE of the staff came to see if I was OK, and apparently I was left lying on the reception floor for several minutes UNATTENDED. I'm sorry, but at what point is it a sackable offence to OPENLY show contempt for patients in front of other patients? Eventually when I regained consciousness, I managed to take a seat, and was treated AS USUAL with care consideration and understanding by one of the doctors! Would they have ignored me if a woman had a panic attack? Sorry but in MY view, this is GROSS MISCONDUCT. I've seen some callous medical receptionists before, but this one was OPENLY HOSTILE. Hardly the face of the caring NHS!

Dr Jennings and Dr Paul are lovely and the receptionists are really rather nice as Doctors receptionists go! Its hard to get an appointment in advance but they save extras each day, so if you call before 9am you can usually get in that day. They also offer telephone consultation which is helpful if you are really ill or cant drive. Its got a decent car park so its easy to access. 10 / 10!

I have seen the practice grown from two Portakabins into a modern, thriving practice with all the mod cons. Dr Moore needs a team of skilled practitioners, caring and professional nurses and without a doubt some of the most helpful, friendly and always professional receptionists in the business. At times it can be difficult to get an appointment but it is the NHS and they have more patience than they do money so sometimes a bit of patience goes a long way and remember the receptionists are just the messengers so there is no point in shouting at them and getting angry. All the patients are in the same part and we are all treated equally if someone has a more urgent and desperate case then they should of course be seen before somebody else or just has a rash or a cold. If you are lucky enough to become registered as a patient at Milton Keynes Village Practice (MKVP) thank your lucky stars because it has Frequently been rated as one of the top doctors practice in Milton Keynes, if not the top practice and I am very very appreciative and thankful of the service that they provide.

The waiting room is spacious with a play area for young children. When it is time for you to be seen the doctors come out into the waiting room to call you, which adds a nice personal touch. With only one exception I've found all the doctors I've had dealings with to be very approachable. My only issue would be that mad scrum on the phone lines for an emergency appointment at 8.30am.
