I got to my first appointment 20 minutes early, waited for my appointment in the lobby, at 11am on…read morethe dot, my therapist comes out and hands me like 10 pages front and back that she wants me to fill out for my appointment. Shouldn't she need this prior to the appointment? Was she going to go over it while I was in the office after I finished filling out all the paperwork. They called me prior to my appointment to make sure I filled out all my important paperwork before the appointment and it was literally just a HIPAA form. Why didn't they have me fill out all my background information that would take at least 20 minutes to fill out before my appointment? I left and when I called the office after to explain why I was upset, she said to talk to the therapist. So the therapist called and said that she'd let front desk know. All-in-all, worst experience I've ever had. I lasted 3 minutes at that office. 0/10.

I took the review down for fear that they would report negatively. They reported the negative review regardless and included false information that I refusal to pay my bill. My credit card that was on file was at its limit because the charges were so extensive and it was declined. I made arrangements and paid my bill in full and never refused to pay my bill. In addition to services NOT being trauma informed, this was was very disappointing. I would suggest any survivor of intimate partner violence speak with the advocates at the Compass Center for Women and Families in Chapel Hill to get recommendations on professionals who understand the nature of intimate partner violence and how trauma impacts survivors. Edit: The clinician who provided parent coordinating services is no longer with this practice. She now has a private practice. I received a second call from the owner asking me to take the review down and I agreed to include this information. After reading a number of reviews of this practice on different sites, I see more and more experiences similar to my own - any complaint of poor services results in threatening emails and calls from the owner of reporting negatively to the court system if unflattering reviews are not removed. This, in my opinion, is an ethical violation. I wonder how many people have been frightened into taking their negative reviews down. I was for some time but decided to repost because I want to save others the expensive and unhelpful experience I had.
