This is easily the best pizza in Edmond, and one of the best in the metro area. The lunch specials…read moreare perfect for the price. Appetizers are spot on and the service is always dependable. Now having said that, the choice to use particular words for certain menu items is beyond me. Representative examples include "pinched sausage", "jerk sauce", and "Tripple XXXtra Pepperoni". Now, maybe I'm just a dumb Okie and maybe pinched sausage is a delicacy up North. However, I am too fearful to Google the phrase, "Detroit pinched sausage." Regardless, all of these food items are actually fantastic. Do not skip this place.

I called in this order for my sister because she was craving her usual pizza. Then I heard the…read morewords pickle bacon ranch pizza and had to do a double take. Pickles and ranch... on pizza? Who came up with that? Because I definitely hadn't heard of it before. The customer service was friendly, upbeat, and had the order ready right on time. When I arrived, it still had a couple of minutes left in the oven, so it came out piping hot--exactly how pizza should. The pizza is a deep-dish style and comes sliced into four pieces. It was a little smaller than I'm used to, but honestly, it seems pretty on par with what you'd expect these days. Inside, the restaurant is clean, bright, and surprisingly spacious. There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot for families or larger groups who want to dine in without feeling cramped. It's tucked away off a back road in the Icebox Plaza, so you might miss it if you're not looking for it. But don't let the location fool you--it's worth finding. And here's the plot twist... I don't even eat bacon, but I tried the pickle-and-ranch side of the pizza and... I hate to admit it... it was actually pretty good! Stranger things have happened. Between the friendly service, clean atmosphere, and hot, fresh pizza, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. If you're ever in Edmond, stop by... and thank me later.

I don't live in the area, but we've had Jo's a few times now when I've been in town. I usually pick…read moreup our order, but opted for delivery this time due to work schedule and being busy in general. They used Doordash for delivery and we had a good delivery experience overall. I ordered a meal deal that was a big pizza, 3 appetizers and a big salad. The pizza was great with tons of toppings (Sooner) and we always love their salads. The jalapeno appetizer was well-received by most, I didn't find it that exciting, but it was still good. I liked the focaccia with meat balls, their marinara on the side was a little weak, but not bad, the cheese bread was fine too. I forgot they also put the cheese bread on the salad, so we ended up with quite a bit, but that's okay. One thing I'll mention from the 3 times I've ordered, I totally don't mind that the salad comes in a pizza box, but it does bug me that each time they've stacked the hot pizza and the salad together so by the time it got to us (since I didn't pick it up myself this time), the salad was also hot. Maybe they could get a sticker that says SALAD on it or something to help keep them separate so the pizza doesn't cook the salad in transit.

Another local Oklahoma institution that's been in operation since the 1960's, Jo's Famous Pizza…read morestarted in Purcell, OK about 40 miles south of Oklahoma City. During our lunch break, my out of town crew headed over to try Jo's Famous since we were told that it was some of the "best" pizza in OKC. After perusing the menu, I read the notice on the menu that all pizzas take a minimum of 20-25 min to prepare; which is nice to know that everything is scratch made. But as we were pressed for time, I opted for the lunch special. My sandwich special came with a side, drink, and a sandwich of my choice. Our friendly server stopped by about 3 min after sitting to take drink orders, and delievered my iced tea. My wedge salad arrived another 5 min after that. A crispy 1/4 chunk of iceburg lettuce came topped with chopped tomatoes, bacon bits, and onions with blue cheese dressing. The fresh chilled veggies were quite refreshing on this hot summer day. The meatball sub was arrived at the table, and I was surprised what a good portion size it was. The nicely toasted bread was stuffed with sliced meatball and marinara sauce. Honestly, I could only finish 1/2 the sando, and took the other 1/2 for dinner that night. The "okie chips," which accompanied my dish were a nice treat. Essentially bread and butter pickles, they have a bit of spice from chili flakes which balances with the sweetness. Jo's is a popular restaurant and was definitely packed during the lunch hour. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular spot for me. My lunch special with tax and tip came out to roughly $17. Seperate checks are available, but just inform your server ahead of time.
