One of the many estate and household liquidation companies in the Rochester, NY area. The company offers more moving sales than estate sales. Pricing is reasonable but there is no half off second day sale. Instead, second day is dickering day, a bizarre concept in a highly competitive estate sale market. No one wants to dicker on the second day - they want half-off. Dickering is confusing and forces you to deal more with the staff than you want to. Some of the staff are nice but clearly uninformed as to the what customers want. Some of the staff are rude. The owner Diane is nice but she has very bad business practices. At one sale she pulled items that were pictured online for her sister-in-law, who did not attend the sale. After driving 40 minutes to get to the sale and then waiting in line to get in, I was disappointing to find the items I wanted were still at the sale but behind the desk because the owner was taking them for her sister-in-law. Bad business practices, pissed off customer. I won't attend another SH&ES sale ever again. read more
