I visited Lemon Tree Massage this afternoon expecting a straightforward, one-hour massage for the…read moreadvertised $70--a reasonable rate for Scottsdale. What I experienced instead was unprofessional, disruptive, and completely unacceptable. Within the first few minutes of the session, my massage therapist abruptly left the room without explanation, returning several minutes later. Shortly after, she disappeared again--this time for even longer. Moments later, there was a knock at the door. It was a police officer instructing me to get dressed immediately. The business was being raided. According to the officer, there were issues with the establishment's paperwork. Based on the circumstances, it's hard not to question whether there were additional problems behind the scenes. Regardless, the result for me as a paying customer was the same: a completely interrupted service that was never delivered. When I went to the front desk to request a refund, I was initially refused--despite multiple police officers standing in the lobby. Only after raising my voice and firmly insisting on being reimbursed did the staff return my $70 in cash. No customer should have to argue to get their money back for a service that was clearly not provided. If this business reopens, I would strongly advise others to think twice before returning. At a minimum, customers deserve professionalism, transparency, and basic accountability. Based on this experience, Lemon Tree Massage failed on all three.

I have been a Massage Envy member for almost 20 years. Tonight, I was unable to find a last minute…read moreappointment at any of their locations so I opted to try Elements Massage for the first time. The clinic, itself, I found to be a little less high-end looking than the competition down the street (where I am used to going). The trash cans in the women's restroom were both full, when I used it. There were chips in the paint (various areas). The masseuses' names were on laminated sheets above each room door. I don't know. It just felt lower-end to me than I am used to. The signage, too (up behind the front desk), looked a bit cheap to me. There was a female (who appeared to be a masseuse) that was expressing her displeasure to the front desk gals about having to check something and/or some after work chores that supposedly started today. She insisted that she had performed said chore(s) yesterday. Even so, the front desk girls insisted she repeat it again today. They further explained that they had sent a text to this gal yesterday explaining that this process or procedure was to start today. The masseuse who was clearly trying to get out of the clinic and go home replied, "Well I didn't read the whole text!" in an annoyed/frustrated manner. I didn't think this was proper/appropriate nor professional to have this conversation right in front of a first time client. They all HAD to know I was hearing every word, and they were well aware it was my first time at their massage clinic. I was thinking, "They should have added emptying the restroom trash to her chore list before she left." Massage was very good ... Hence the 4 stars. Pressure was perfect, and masseuse had a unique style I enjoyed with fast strokes. He was like a machine. It was pretty amazing. That said, I had asked for an enhancement when I filled out my intake forms (CBD Herbal Ritual), but, unfortunately, I guess nobody informed the therapist because I did not receive the upgrade. I have to admit, I had been looking forward to that, and I was disappointed by it's absence. I would have said something to my masseuse directly about this, but since I had never experienced an Elements massage, I didn't know whether perhaps that was something they waited to add towards the end of the massage??? Also, I had put on my paperwork to avoid my face and scalp because I tend to get acne troubles when I have oil on my face. The therapist confirmed this wish at the beginning of my massage, but he forgot and still began to do my scalp and face. After he had already started, he remembered. By that point, the oil was already present in my problem area so I gave him the go ahead to continue, but this was another bummer. Again though, over all, it was a fantastic massage, and that is what is paramount. Despite the couple of dislikes, mistakes, etc., they did not hold enough weight to give any less than 4 stars. I will return and give them another try.

This was the WORST massage I've ever had, my back muscle is inflamed & hot to the touch. Ever since that massage - I came in with pain & left with even more. Therapist was not knowledgeable on the muscles. Kept causing me pain by rubbing his elbow directly into my bones... didn't listen to direction when given.. not relaxing at all No manager on site to speak to about it prior to leaving, front desk said I could call him later. You'd think THEY would care enough to call ME. Guess not!
