Is this a an open MRI machine?

Hello Cheryl, we do not have an Open MRI machine at that location, however our Watsonville location has a wide-bore MRI. If you need an open MRI specifically, Santa Clara would be the closest. If you are in need of further assistance, please email…

Simon med Imaging was very helpful to work me in at the last minute for an urgent ultrasound to rule out a blood clot in my injured leg before I get on a plane in a few days.

My daughter was incredibly nervous for both procedures and the staff was very nice, understanding and reassuring. So definitely kudos to them. My complaint is their billing. I have had nothing but problems. I've always called ahead to get my portion of the balance due prior to the procedures so I can plan as I'm a single mom on a budget. I paid in full every time and EVERY single time I was overcharged. For my daughter's two procedures, I was overcharged more than $300!! It took them nearly three months to reimburse me. And the only reason I found out about the overcharges is because I received my Explanation of Benefits - not because they had the decency to reach out!! In between the disputes with my daughter's billing, I had a procedure and told them I am not paying anything up front as they already owed me nearly $350. The billing manager said fine and that she'd make a note for a payment schedule once the insurance settled. I got my bill in December after insurance paid their portion. I made a partial payment immediately - about a third of the total bill. Next thing I know, I'm being sent to collections!!! They can keep my money for over three months but the moment I don't pay in full (with payment arrangements supposedly noted on my file) they send my account to collections. Because of these issues I will get imaging done elsewhere.

Well, I really felt jipped out of my first experience seeing my baby during the first trimester ultrasound. Though the technician was polite, she never showed me the beating heart or allowed me to watch the baby move. Though I understand that she needs to see the screen, how much of an inconvenience is it to tilt the screen every so often to the expectant mom? She also didn't know where certain buttons were on the machine which made me lose confidence in her skill in, at least, prenatal ultrasounds. She didn't even provide print outs! We had to take pix with our iphones. I would have to say I would not recommend these guys if you ladies want your prenatal ultrasounds done here. I had used their ultrasound services in the past for other medical needs (with the same tech), and that was satisfactory. But you may want to go elsewhere, moms.

Soon after our arrival in town my boyfriend was having excruciating jaw pain. It must've been bad for him to want to see a doctor so I Yelped an urgent care. This place was open, close by and most important had good reviews. It was closing in 30 minutes tho, but if we didn't go, bf would be miserable all weekend to see these races. We walked in, place was empty lucky for us, no appointment. Couple of waivers filled out, insurance given and Doctor took us in. Dr. Gilliam is by far the kind of doctor I wish I had as my PCP. He's funny, caring, gentle and educational. After asking my bf some questions and a little exam, it was concluded he had a little infection that needed antibiotics. Dr. Gilliam took care of ALL of it, sent the scripts to Safeway right next door (we needed to get snacks anyway) filled out the claim and sent it to insurance. I mentioned I was a medical coder. He does all of his own coding using software. But if Dr. Gilliam ever wants to hire a certified outpatient coder/biller with Urgent Care experience, we could always use an excuse to relocate to Monterey (hint hint) We were treated like humans, even laughed a little bit at some funny stories. Warm, kind Doctor. I hope we'd never have to be patients again but if we're in Monterey and need an Urgent Care, we're going here. He's the way all Doctors should be.

I carried her in, although on the phone they asked if I needed a gurney, which I didn't, but has kindly offered. The second they saw me and my pup, everyone stopped what they were doing to help. They could clearly see between my face, and her, that this was serious. Although our sweetie passed, they did everything they could, and kept me in the loop the entire time. The physician gave us great peace by telling us what had occurred, there was nothing we could have done, and even if we'd gotten her there earlier they probability to survival was low. In an extraordinarily difficult time they give my wife and I peace knowing we'd done what we could and it wasn't our fault. I had a mentor tell me, "why and what if are what keep you up at night." They did everything they could to shut down those difficult thoughts. While this is a sad outcome, I can't think every person who helped me and our pup last night do what they could. I'll never forget how you helped me through one of the most difficult processes of my life and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Not a lot of blood, but certainly multiple multiple puncture and bite wounds. As a nurse and a former hospice nurse, I tend to be very pragmatic when it comes to my animals. It's not that I don't value them. It's just that I maintain a personal perspective that our companion pets are not meant to be with us forever but I also don't want to be cruel and let them suffer unnecessarily. Except for where my cats died from a car hitting them or being killed by a wild animal, all my cats over the years have lived to be 18 to 21 years. We monitored him all through the night he didn't move and his breathing was really shallow, but he was still with us by morning so we took him off to the emergency blue pearl pet Hospital. The staff were very professional and caring. They examined him carefully and offered x-rays and a CT scan with the CT scan costing $1000. It cost $250 just to be seen. Once we made it clear to the staff there that we wanted to do very conservative medical management we didn't get the push back that we often get when we've gone to other vets. We made it very clear that we wouldn't consider surgery for him. They shaved our kitty's belly so we could easily monitor the worst of his wounds for abscesses. They provided us with the prescriptions that he needed for anti-infection and pain management. They did give us a cone of shame which I was shocked cost $56. That's outrageous. And my cat absolutely refused to wear it and was so intensely fighting and trying to get it off that he was harming himself more than if we let him go without and he had zero problems without it. The $56 for the cone was why I only gave them four stars. Otherwise the service and the care were very good and I would go back again in a heartbeat. Total price for visit, no labs, no imaging $700. Pickle is doing wonderful and is back to his old happy self.

Thank you to all of you, and also the 2 new nurses introduced to me in the operating room as I was saying hello while succumbing to the anesthesia. They know how to help you relax and have a little fun before and after the procedures. I've had four different surgeons. They were all top notch. The facility is clean, busy and full of people who care and try to make your procedure as smooth as possible. I rather enjoyed the chatter amongst the staff. It showed me that they enjoyed their job and their co-workers. It was a true team experience. I highly recommend any of their Monterey facilities.
