Don't do it! They are inept. They cannot handle scheduling and they really should not be licensed to practice. I called them 4 times leading up to this as they had questions about insurance. It took 3 calls to straighten that out. Called again the morning of my appointment to make sure it was at the time and location scheduled. Angel on the phone assured me it was and asked me to bring past images and reports. I did. Checked in at front desk to be told my appointment was at 0900 after I verified it 4 times that it was 1145. Was told the would not be able to get me in today and I could reschedule. I told them fat chance as they are the absolute worst medical service provider I have ever experienced. Keep away! Don't waste your time with this pack of idiots. read more

I came in here yesterday during my lunch hour. I got there and I was told that they were full for the day and the following day. I was told to come back on Friday at 4:30pm. I'm like, What?! You don't make appts for x-rays, how are you booked all the way through Friday, which is 3 1/2 days away? I asked if she could look at the Aloma office, and was told it looked ok to go to the Aloma office early in the morning. This office is right on Orange Ave, parking in the back. It is a pretty big office. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The only thing I can say about the quality of care is that I was not able to experience it because it is booked all the time and they don't make appts for the service I needed. read more

This is the third time or fourth that I have made an appointme with SimedMed Kaley II for an MRI of my lower back an in addition a bone desity screening. WELL. I have been turned away 3 times saying that I doin't have the correct forms or approvals. FINE ! I finally got approval from my insurance (mind you the first oder was written by my phychian in March 2026.....................I answered MANY form online for the appointment SEVERAL times. Thinking this time (HA), this would be a bing bang wiz. I waited in the waiting rom for more than 1 and 1/2 hours, my back "killing" me, because the chairs they provide (plastic stack chairs) are those used for campany large monthly meetings....... During the time I was there the "gentleman" that had been attending to me, called me to the desk. I was Informend, that I could do the MRI, but the Bone Density Screenin, would have to be done on another day in the afternoon, I told him to FORGET IT!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I I HAVE TO SUFFER waiting for a routing test ? Third or fourth time there ALL the same, except today I did not receive the RUDENESS of the female representatve as I had before. NEVER AGAIN................if my doctor doesn't affiliatte with another imaging source then TOO BAD ! read more

I went to the Turkey Lake location today and received very poor service. In fact, the trouble started right when I called to make the appointment; the person who took my call was impatient. The staff at the front desk told me I needed a diagnosis first and wouldn't accept my referral for the exam. How am I supposed to get a diagnosis if I haven't had the exam yet????? She then told me to change into a hospital gown and to take my bra and my shirt off. She didn't leave the room and I felt very uncomfortable and violated. Pros - I was able to schedule online for a next day appointment. The had what looked like original art work in the waiting area. Cons - lots of repetitive paper work to fill out online. The waiting area was extremely noisy. They don't have anything to absorb the sound. There were ring tones, people on speaker phone, kids wrestling, women humming and talking loudly to each other. No decorum or expectations to be quiet. It has a high ceiling and no carpet so was really stressful. Most doctors offices I visit have a no cell phone policy. I think I would try a different facility in the future. read more

My appointment for a prostate MRI was scheduled 3 days in advance of the procedure. I received a call from the company asking the typical questions before the procedure, medications, implants, etc. I let them know my left hip was replaced with a metal joint. I received an email with online materials to complete two days before with the same information required. of course I repeated that I had a hip joint replacement. I received verbal and written instructions for preparation, fasting, bowel cleansing etc. I was first told to do one saline enema 4 hours in advance and a second call later stated I needed to do two enemas two hours apart. Requiring a second trip to the drug store. The day of the scan I did all the prep and took some anti anxiety medication. Upon arrival at the facility their preparation went without a problem. The IV was set for the contrast material and I went into the chamber and the machine started. Several minutes later the machine was turned off and I was backed out. I stated that was the quickest MRI I've ever had and asked if the contrast was part of a second procedure. The young technician sheepishly stated she had to stop because I had a metal hip joint! I stated this was known and that the facility location was selected by SimonMed. She stated her device could not accommodate the metal hip joint. I asked what were the ramifications of having been in the operating chamber as long as I had. No answer. I asked what facility could accommodate my situation. She stated the nearest was in Kissimmee FL, a 30 mile trip. When I asked how this mistake could have taken place place, no response! After re-dressing I ask the front desk the same questions and there was not a single intelligent response. They only tried to reschedule my appointment. I walked out and went to the urologist who had set up the appointment initially with Simon and let them know what had occurred. they helped me set up another appointment with another imaging group. I would not return to this facility and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. read more

I ended up canceling my appointment in Winter Park. They also made an appointment for me in Longwood, Fl without my knowledge. Here is the problem. You cannot speak with the facility, even when you have already scheduled an appointment and you are speaking to someone overseas somewhere who REALLY REALLY cannot help you. read more

I see the negative reviews and I am surprised. I was a Community Care referral from the VA Lake Nona for a sonogram of my bladder. I arrived early, checked in with a really nice young lady and was called back almost immediately. The person who did my sonogram was really great and I left completely satisfied. To be honest, I am surprised by the reviews. Thank you SimonMed Imaging at Kaley for a satisfying visit. The next week my wife had an appointment at Simon and same results from arrival to completion. the Dr. orders posed significant challenges for the staff. My first appointment was cancelled due to these challenges. a second appointment was scheduled a week later. that appointment time was verbally told to me incorrectly resulting in a waste of two hours of my time and a long wait. the intake person was rude and her customer service demeanor was unacceptable. on a positive note, a different intake representative was kind when asked questions. Absolutely horrendous place to deal with! You cannot talk to them locally no matter what and they do not review your intake form until the minute you check in which is unacceptable if they have certain procedures and protocols and you tell their call center several times you have implants. I sat over 3 hours and was sent away and am now out $700 in hotel bills because I am from out of town. This is because I have to come from out of town to have a device for seizures turned on and off before and after imagine and I cannot drive and because my husband is handicapped he has to take breaks often. I explained this to the call center several times and the first time I was on the phone for over and hour and he scheduled me for a normal machine which would've killed me. The second time I was scheduled for the wrong location and almost lost out on my hotel fee because I got called late Friday night about a Monday morning appointment. This time I wasn't told at all even after checking in first thing early about this protocol I sat for hours and had to get a phone order. When I went back to my Drs I was told they did not call when they said they did, they didnt call until I had called and got on the phone with them. We asked to speak to the manager and she left before talking to us. My husband was so irate after managing to get himself out of the car and his wheelchair together pulling his catheter almost out doing so they called the cops on him. We finally left since they couldn't get a Dr to read the xray they say they require before an mri due to my other implant that I've had for 15 almost 16 years and I have never had to have at any other imaging place ever even in a hospital so make that make sense. I am sitting here in the hotel room trying to figure out how I'm going to pay this bill because I asked when they couldn't do the imaging and I got a shrug and a post it with the corporate phone number when I asked what I'm supposed to do. Never have I ever dealt with such a poorly run company. read more

I made this appointment early in the morning and everything went very smoothly. The receptionist was very kind to everyone, regardless of whether or not they had an appointment. The ultrasound tech was kind and polite and made the experience as pleasant and professional as it could be. I always have a really weird experience when I go to SimonMed imaging, but I understand why I have to go. It's just that from the outside looking in you think that the business is going to run a little better, and I hate to say it, but it's kind of hood on the inside. Just a big empty space with some chairs spaced out. The receptionists are not the most knowledgeable (they are sometimes really rude. Calling to schedule an appointment and making an appointment online are two different experiences. Otherwise the place serves it's purpose and it does what it does. The person that made my appointment sounded like she was in a coffee shop or in some other busy place. Very unprofessional! Made me uncomfortable wondering who was around her and who could see my personal information. After 15 minutes of taking my information and still no appointment time the call was disconnected. I am claustrophobic so took a valium before the MRI procedure and was driven to the location. Even with valium was tense when I arrived. The receptionist was very friendly so I calmed down a bit. Then my tech, David Bernard, came out to get me. Unlike other SimonMed locations, I was not required to strip down to my underwear. Took off my belt and emptied my pockets. Then he took me into the room with the machine. He explained to me the procedure and asked me what type of music I liked; I told him. He then had me lay down on the table. The machine was more like a huge donut and not a long tube. He put earphones on me and then put a lightweight plastic contraption with a mirror on my head. I was able to took at the mirror and see my chest and abdomen. Then the procedure began and I was only slightly uncomfortable. This was a relatively easy procedure. David set a relaxing tone and I think that really helped. I will be needing these mri's regularly and will definitely be going back to David. Next time halving valium with hopes that I can do subsequent mri's without them. read more

SimonMed is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau! This review has more to do with SimonMed than this actual location. I made the appointment online at the location that had the soonest appointment. I entered my insurance information as it was listed on the drop-down menu as accepted insurance. My 7 am appointment required dietary requirements and noted to be there at 6:45. I arrived, and there was no one in the building. At 7:05 someone arrived and opened up the center 5 minutes later. When I was finally checked in, I was told my insurance was not accepted. There seems to be some kind of scam by doctors' offices and SimonMed to make money off people and steer them into terrible practices. read more

They are open until 5pm but apparently the x ray tech heads out early whenever he or she wants. I showed up at 4pm for my walk in only option for an x ray and they were already gone for the day. He arrived 1.5 hours before his scheduled appointment time as directed, only to be told 3 hours later his appointment was cancelled. The lack of consideration for humans and what they are going through is ridiculous. I would never treat a patient this way (especially one coming in for a PET scan) considering how significant every minute is. read more

On 10/27/23 I visited Simon Med to get a MRI w/o contrast for my right foot and Mr. Tim explained me everthing about it plus ask me if I wanted to wear headphones to listen to music and he hook me up with some of my 70s rock bands which really blocked a lot all the crazy noises coming from the machine that literally it felt to me like taking a nap ;) I told him that it was my best experiences of all my MRIs previously done, i also have to say that the staff was great, definately I'll come back, thanks, Elliot Ruiz :) read more

The staff here are so friendly, kind and helpful! Most were bilingual and able to help everyone feel comfortable and understood. I went for an MRI and was very relaxed and was there for less than an hour. This is a huge facility on the east side of Orange Avenue and they have lots of parking behind the building. This is a new location in Downtown Orlando with a bigger and brighter waiting area and rooms, also staffed with such great friendly people! I had the pure pleasure of meeting such a handsome and charming gentleman named Juan and he was so sweet and helpful. He welcomed me and took me back to the room and proceeded to explain step by step what he was going to do and what was going to happen, making me feel completely at ease with everything from the moment I walked in to when I stepped foot out the door. I highly recommend this location over any others if you're getting any imaging done. 10++ stars! ( The extra plus was for the gentleman ;p ) read more

Simon Med imaging is a pleasure to go to and this one's bright, new and offers the same friendly staff always helping to make it a productive, comfortable experience despite some uncomfortable tests (eg, mammogram). Easy to get to right on So Orange Ave a couple of blocks south of Kaley. Lots of easy parking. The waiting/reception area is large, bright with artwork on walls. I like that the SimonMeds throughout Orlando and nationwide are connected and I have my med history there. This particular one is brand new and has all new and latest equipment. read more

I had a test performed here back in late March. They told me my share of cost was $1,063 and once it went through insurance, they would refund any difference if there was any or bill me for anything due. I was fine with that and I understand it. It turns out my insurance covered 100% and several months later, I still cannot get my refund back from them. The Patient Services they use is a waste of time and sounds like a call center in the Philippines. They have no ability to actually help a patient or resolve matters. Based on BBB complaints I read; this is common for them. I know next time I will use a different imaging service that does not need to keep patient's money once insurance has paid. read more

I had a scheduled echocardiogram today and there were 2 ladies attending to me. One was training, the other her teacher. It took over an hour, the girl couldn't even find the heart. It seemed like the trainee didn't know what she was doing at all. I have bruised ribs etc. make sure you go to someone who knows their job. read more

I stopped in today for a cardiac calcium scoring with an appointment. Everybody from the front desk staff to the technicians were fantastic to deal with. I had a relatively short wait, which was no problem at all. If his oldies are obviously brand new, super clean, and state-of-the-art. They take all necessary measures for transmission prevention do the coronavirus. It was very comfortable here the whole time. Jennifer was my CT technician, she was fantastic. I would put 0 stars if I could. Absolutely worst company you can do business with. It took me about 4 calls and 3 voicemails to even get an appointment scheduled after I found them in network with my insurance then when I show up 3 weeks later to my scheduled appointment and they just tell me they don't accept my insurance as of a week ago and no one bothered to call me stating they had the wrong phone number which I left on their voicemail multiple times. They showed no remorse whatsoever and wanted me to self pay $600 not to mention wasted 3 weeks of my time. Horrific customer service go anywhere else but here!! read more
