My doctor sent me for a chest CT scan to follow up on a nodule in my lung. This was the third annual follow up. I am insured by Medicare and BC/BS in top tier coverage. Although the order showed that this CT should be compared to previous results, SOMEONE coded the procedure as a "routine cancer screening" which Medicare does NOT cover. When I received the denial of coverage, I immediately contacted Simon Med and pointed out that, if they corrected the coding they would be paid in full ($756). Simon Med took no action and just resubmitted the bill to Medicare as a routine cancer screening. I called several times and, each time, I was assured that they would review the matter and the bill was placed on hold. It wasn't. Simon Med continued to bill me, phone me, and threaten me with being turned over to collections. In the meantime, I contacted Medicare. They confirmed that Simon Med did not provide the correct information and, as a result, I am not liable for the bill. Today I spoke to a Supervisor at Simon Med's billing department. I asked her if she had all the information regarding my phone calls and letters explaining the problem. She indicated that all she had was the bill itself and asked me if I would make a payment! I told her that I was hoping that Simon Med or their "collection agency" would take action against me for this bill, since I am a retired attorney with more than 30 years experience in medical bill collection. Incidentally, the Imaging Department at the Advent Medical Building near Partin Settlement is a wonderful facility! read more

I came in early afternoon. Waiting area was not busy. I went to check-in and all I could do was sign in. She said that she'd call on me. She called on everyone but me. It was an hour before I decided to just leave and go to the other Oak location where I was checked in immediately. Another thing is this woman is there, just wandering around and around. She does not appear to be a patient. Everyone just ignores her like she's a piece of furniture. read more

Stop calling every day to remind me of my relative's appointment. I feel as though I'm harassed. The worse part is that it wasn't my appointment but a relative's. How did you even have my phone number as I have never been a patient of your establishment. Also it would be nice to know that you charge a service fee to use a credit card before you do it. BTW why do you charge the customer more than what the bank charges you for the use of credit cards. read more

If I could rate it a Zero I would. This place Absolutely SUCKS! I had an appointment only to find out that my MRI CODE wasn't right. They even got prior authorization from the insurance company on my ankle, and the script said ankle MRI. They should have caught this right away. They wasted my time and gas. I even had to wait weeks to get the appointment. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST! All phone calls go to their call center! I need to get a CD with my MRI images, however when I get sent to records.... I sit in complete silence... for 45 minutes. I gave up, called again, back to the circle of call center... I won't even discuss my MRI experience at this location. I have been standing outside this location since 7:45am because they open at 8am and it's "walk-in only" for X-rays. it's 8:16 am and the doors are locked and nobody is here. I called the West Oak location and they can't get ahold of anyone either. They told me to reschedule my appointment. I said I can't - it's walk in only and today is the day I have. Then she told me to leave and try back later -- it took me 45 minutes to get here. Last time I was at this location for a different imaging test, I had an appointment and the wait was still long. Then they gave me a report that said my gallbladder looked good. I don't actually have a gallbladder...so beware if you have something serious because the doctors reading the films are as bad as the staff who can't be bothered to show up and open their office on time. read more

This is the second bad experience I've had with Simon Med. Yesterday, I had to pick up my electrocardiogram reports for 2021 and 2023. I arrived before around 9:40 am at Heritage Oak location and stood in line over 20 minutes. Initially, the clerk told me she'd have it for me in 10 minutes. I could understand since they were busy , but after 30 mins I asked how much longer and was told they were having trouble finding my 2021 results. They said wait 10 more minutes. After an hour total at 10:45 am, when I HAD to leave to get to my cardiologist on time, I had to demand a copy of whatever they had. She gave me what I thought was my 2023 report. I went to cardiologist and when she opened BOTH reports were inside. Really? How rude was that. Make me sit for an extended time when she had both reports ready for some time before I asked. Ok that is it. The only decent location is in Poinciana with a kind and caring staff. If I have to get anything other than an X-ray, I'll go to Advent at Celebration for all future imaging. The customer service at Simon Med Imaging is a joke. Can't reach anyone by phone either to complain. Worst customer service for an entity that was supposed to improve the patient experience. Pretty sad experience overall. I don't generally give poor reviews but this was too bad to ignore and not post. read more

Professional imaging center on Oak Street, Kissimmee I was referred to this center by my neurologist for some MRIs. I waited 3 days for a phone call (per neurologist staff) and nothing so I took the initiative to call the Imaging center and make my appointments. First call: no referral information from neurologist, I was asked to call the neurologist office so they can fax the referral and call back at 4pm Second call at 4pm: still no referral information, was given an alternate fax and call back at 4:45pm; called neurologist office and gave them the alternate fax number. Called back the imaging center at 4:45pm office - no one ever picked up the phone. I called the following day and it was a horrible the back and forth when miraculously the referral was there since yesterday but they didn't know what mri's I needed so I was asked to call my neurologist for that information. Called the neurologist, got the information requested but that imaging center wanted in writing. I gave up. On the third day, I set all of my appointments. Two days after, someone from the imaging center calls me to reschedule my first appointment because they overbooked themselves and offered me 4pm appointment on the 20th of February when I had to be fasting for the test. The gal offered me the 21st but didn't read the notes where it stated I needed 2 days between appointments so she set me up for the 20th at 11:45am. On the 20th of feb I show up at 11:20am for my appointment and it's a full house with no empty chairs. We waited a half hour for the paperwork requieres and waited over an hour for the first MRI. I received several calls asking for referrals from the imaging center, which during the first two calls I realized someone didn't want to do their job and had me in the middle as if I knew when a fax was sent and received. I politely told the gal who kept calling me over the referral that I was not going to call the neurologist for a referral and that she needed to call them and do her job. So i asked to speak to a supervisor who never came on the line. For my second MRI scheduled for the 23rd, I get a call on the 22nd from someone in the imaging center claiming I missed my appointment and that I owed them $300 per MRI. I explained to the gal my appt was for the 23rd and asked if she called my insurance. I was placed on hold forever and then the gal says we see you tomorrow. I get another call from the imaging center from someone else over the payment; on hold again with no answers. Then I get a call from the imaging center billing department letting me know I owed them money. Once Home, I called my insurance company to find out the expenses and such. Called the imaging billing department, the gal doesn't believe me and asked me to call the insurance back; I called the insurance back and had them call the imaging billing supervisor. The imaging center supervisor calls me back to tell me not to be surprised if I get a large bill because she wasn't sure the insurance was correct. Third and last visit went well but the whole experience was really bad. The imaging center should do a better job at training their staff to be efficient and reliable. Overall: would shy away from this establishment. Even the neurologist office staff stated they have received numerous complaints about this Oak Street facility. This lab expect honesty and respect. But, that's precisely what its employees don't have. I went there for an appointment and the lady in charge was rude and disrespectful. I took my physician's orders a went to another lab. Those young ladies working there badly needs a course in human relations. They look at you as a number; not as a person. Before that event, I went there for x rays last year. There were two young ladies technicians who I though were practicing with me. They took 4 or 5 times x rays when only one suppose to be enough. Their excuse when I complained was: "the previous one was not good; don't worry; the amount of radiation is minimal". OMG! I will never go there in the future. read more

Went there for a ct scan with contrast and the techs that they have there should go back to school to learn how to properly put an IV or at least find the vein and keep the IV in place. The 1st one found the vein and then said the catheter was expulsed from the vein, blood flow from my arm to the floor, he then got another tech and guess what, all he did was smack my hand to make my vein visible, even though you can see them a mile away, poked me and moved the needle the way he wanted bruised my hand and swelled up again blood flowing out and they claim they could not find my vein. . Then the 3rd time again find my vein he pulls away and blood started to flow out my vein dripping on the floor, then he has the nerves to tell me that I should drink water, my responsibility was all I drink is water, you found the damn vein otherwise I would not be loosing blood the way I did. You have to go back to school and learn to put an IV and not blame patients. Walked out without the CT scan and reschedule but definitely not at the 911 E. Oak street. Horrible experience, and not professional techs. read more

They don't respect appointment times, the waiting room was too crowded, and on one instance, their report didn't address the reason for being there and instead simply stated there was no broken bones (that was never in question). We'll be seeking a new imaging provider next time. read more

After my wife was done with her CT scan at the PCIFL located at 7806 Lake Underhill Drive Suite 101 on June 22nd (today), she was in the lobby ready to go home. However, she started to bleed from her right arm, drops of blood were on the floor from the lobby as well as the inside area where they take patients. according to my wife, she was waiting there close to another patient that was also exclaiming blood on the floor. she had to wait sometime for someone to actually clean her up and put on another Band-Aid. (the person that assisted her was not the person that helped her in the first place). what really bothers me as well as my wife is the lack of professionalism from the person that did the blood draw and DID NOT PROVIDE her any instructions. secondly, nobody, absolutely no one even apologizes or say a word to her regarding that inconvenience where my wife lost some blood due to an unprofessional service. The wait time was 1 hour and 35 minutes. They made us arrive 15 minutes before our appointment time, so almost 2 hours wait. Too many patients at once, I guess. We waited on the car. I saw them work like bees but something needs to be improved definitely. read more

I love this office .... this is the only place I go to have x rays and MRI's done. I have a stem unit and they can do it with no issues. They are always on time and so nice.. I have never had a problem with them. No problem with billing or scheduling. I use the one on oak street.. They are awesome. read more

This is the worst place ever. Sat there 11/2 hours while they called everyone in the waiting room twice. The office staff is incompetent and lazy. There are plenty of them in there, they just are so unorganized is unbelievable. I only went there for a 5 minute CT. Finally after sitting 11/2 hours I lost it. I went up front and asked for a review form. I told them what I thought about the place. It is sad that when a person is sick they get treated the way they do there. Worst imaging center EVER! They run an hour behind shove thirty people in a waiting room that seats twenty and it's 80 degrees in there. In the back offices it's 58 degrees. The front desk workers are slow and sit around. Avoid this Kissimmee FL location! I gave one star cause there's nothing lower. read more

I am only posting this so others know that this place is still horrible in 2020. I arrived a half hour early to do paper work. An hour past my appointment time and I still had not been called back. They wanted me to pay $350 up front as a co-pay / deductible, even though I called my insurance from their office and confirmed that my mammogram was covered 100% with no out of pocket. I got my papers back and walked out the door. I will have my doctor order my mammogram elsewhere. Seriously. Get your imaging done ANYWHERE BUT HERE. read more

In My Eyes..Not Professional at All..!!! I have been suffering from unbearable chest pain lately and my primary ordered a chest scan at Professional Imaging Center drove approximately 20 miles to get there for them to tell me they couldn't do the screen without me paying $30 right then and there..I asked if they could send me a bill for the $30 they said No and wanted me to apply for a medical credit card that they could charge the $30 to. Very, very, very unorganized. My physicians have to fax my referrals to them several times before they can find them in there own unorganized stack of faxes. I had an MRI done and they gave me someone else's CD to take to my surgeon resulting in me having to have another visit to my surgeon. I had to go to them to get another CD. This facility has a lack of either lazy or not experienced office staff. They do not seem get appointments correct, or schedule incorrect appointments. They move slowly in processing you when you arrive, when you gave them all the insurance information over the phone to verify before you arrive. They appear to double book most of the time. Their website is not up to date or the staff does not know the hours. It clearly states on website that they are open Saturdays (and does not give a detail of what services can be preformed on that day). When you call most will tell you that they have now extended their hours to 7:00 p.m. M-F, and closed Saturday's. It is sad, because most CAT scans, X-Rays they we have are usually done a facility such as this. I hope after this review they will get on the same page with experienced workers that can speak clearly so that each patient can understand, know what how to schedule, know when the office is open (and when the technicians start), and PLEASE update their website with correct information. read more

This place is a joke. Wife came here for her annual test. The doctors office tells her she needs to come back because they saw something in the test. So she schedules the appointment and when she arrives they tell her oh no that's the wrong test and your going to have to come back because we don't have time to do the other test. We come back and find out there is a $142 co-pay even though we called and was told by Shy that it was covered and no co-pay would be required. The call wife in and tell her oh no you have to pay the $142 or no test. Ivelisse calls the "Big Boss " Mis Mejias and is told nope sorry can't help you. Our mistake but oh well pay or don't have the test. So now it's 4:45 pm for a 3:45 appointment haven't got the test yet but you can bet they got their money. Place is a joke. Nice how the owner can hide and not take responsibility for her employees actions. You can bet we won't be back. read more
