This is my 2nd time using Simonian...last time was in 2018, and that last flooring job was excellent and competitively priced, so made it easy to call them this year for my current remodel. They were again excellent! Owner Daniel and his assistant, Angie, are lovely people to work with. They are very knowledgeable, were flexible for my installation needs, have great prices, very competitive with Reno/Sparks, have a robust inventory of flooring and carpeting, and have a very professional, efficient and friendly installation team. The fact that they are here in Incline Village AND that you can get them on the phone, visit their shop anytime and/or ask them to stop by your job at almost a moment's notice is a huge bonus. Gloria was very helpful when it came to us picking out carpet for two bedrooms. The installers were very good and had to deal with some challenging furniture to work around. No problem - you would have thought the rooms were empty when they installed. The rooms look great. Then we had our original hardwood floors refinished in the dining room. Gloria mentioned she had a really good guy who could add new flooring in the kitchen and blend/match it with the dining room. As promised, Craig and his crew worked their magic and it looked *so good*, we decided to add the hardwood into the family room and a guest bath too. Highly recommended!! I had the good fortune of finding Simonian Flooring. I looked from Reno to Sparks and finally in Incline. Simonian prices are comparable and from the moment I walked in and were met by Gloria and Angie, I knew I found the right place. I explained what I needed (grandkids, family groups, etc) and she pointed me in the right direction regarding what kind of carpet would be good for my needs. She let me take sevvvvvveral carpet samples home. I was so indecisive and had a hard time deciding on the color. On top of that I had 2 problems in my subfloor - a hole & a hump. They were able to address that as well. The crew that came out for the installation was the BEST! Six guys showed up. They were polite, clean, efficient, helpful, quick and did a great job! They listened to my needs and concerns and laid the carpet in record time. When/if I need new carpet or other flooring in the future, I will go straight back to Simonian! read more

Our family had been looking to replace our 30+ year old carpet at our vacation/rental property in Tahoe City. We had never replaced the carpet up there before, and we live a ways away, in San Francisco. I found Simonian Flooring, thank goodness! Was looking for a local and trustworthy company that could help with this big task while I live so far away. I can also be rather particular, and was looking for the right company to fit our needs. In years past, I had attempted to work with two other local carpet companies to get new carpet installed, and left unimpressed by the lack of customer service. The first person I spoke to with Simonian Flooring was Taylor, she was extremely helpful and kind. Taylor always answered my countless inquiries promptly, whether it was over the phone or email. Taylor and Gloria provided honest advice and direction in trying to take on the daunting task of choosing which carpet may be right for our place. They provided me with samples sent to me in San Francisco, lots of valuable advice, and even entertained an in person visit from me as I rifled through the samples in their showroom! They even let me take a book of carpet samples back to the condo, so that I could see the carpet colors in the actual space. This really helped in the decision making process. We have a very modest place in Tahoe and were having nylon carpet installed, nothing fancy by any means. However, we were always made to feel that we were important customers and that our concerns and our business was a top priority. They provided me with six different estimates that I asked for, the very next day after they came to take measurements! This exemplifies Simonian Flooring's great customer service, and pride in their work and company. On top of all the wonderful service from Taylor, Gloria, and Alex, we have AMAZING new carpet throughout our condo!! The installation job looks incredible and was the perfect choice in carpet and color. While the condo is small, it has lots of stairs and closets, which makes it a difficult place to install carpet throughout. I could not be happier with the new carpet, it has transformed the space. They even helped us have the extra pieces of carpet surged, to be placed as extra protection over the existing carpet, which looks fantastic. Simonian was super easy to work with. They just completed the installation of new flooring in 85% of our place in Tahoe Vista. We worked with Abby to select our flooring and she had some great advice and suggestions, making the process easier. Selection: Lots of options to choose from so you can save yourself a trip to Reno and shop locally. Installation: Alex managed the measuring and installation and he and his team did a great job. Everything was completed on time and it looks great. Tip: They aren't open on weekends but you can pick up samples during the week and they can pick them up when they come to measure. read more

Simonian Flooring is great. Gloria worked with me and was very accommodating, letting me take samples that I couldn't return for a few weeks, doing the install in my absence, responding to emails promptly, ensuring that the install took extra care not to ding paint as the baseboards had just been repainted, and giving recommendations for other resources in the community. When I asked if the remnant could be bound, Gloria offered to have someone come pick it up. Another not insignificant nice thing? The price was very competitive. I'd expected Simonian's price to be higher, since they are right in Incline Village. I was wrong--quotes from larger stores in the Reno area were similar to what I paid. I had water damage to my solid hardwood floor and based on a friend's recommendation, I hired Craig Hanna to do the repair. He gave me a reasonable estimate, but after running into complications, he ran way over his original time estimate. However, he finished the work, did a great job, and stood by his original estimate. The floor looks great again. I recommend him strongly. It's rare to find an honest, competent craftsman anymore. Craig would not quit until HE was satisfied with the work. read more

We just had Alex and Memo stretch our carpet after it had developed some serious wrinkles. These gentlemen were professional, prompt and very talented in carpet repair. I was anticipating having to replace the 10 year old wall to wall, however they were able to salvage it and straighten out several problems making it look like new. Last night my 15 month old Westie followed an interesting sound into an unused guest room two floors below where I slept and the door apparently closed behind him. Unaccustomed to being absolutely alone (his dog companion slept safely upstairs) and in the dark, he spent a good portion of the night in panic trying to dig under the closed door. I awoke to his cries and a several foot span of shredded carpet and padding. After he calmed down, I searched the internet for someone locally who would repair carpet. I made several calls with negative responses and was eventually directed to a company (nameless...) which definately performed repairs. I called twice, but they never called back. I knew Simonian to be a high end, high quality company which sells flooring, and stopped by their showroom in the hope that they might know anyone in our small town---during the height of tourist season---willing to make a repair. I told Gloria my sad story and she laughed about how the dog had made "spaghetti"---a rather accurate description of the mess in my guest room---and introduced me to her installer, Israel, who was on his way to another job. Israel was at my house an hour later making a nearly invisible repair using a piece of carpet from the back of the closet. The carpet is off-white wool berber which tends to show seams, but his workmanship exceeded my expectations. The patch is only visible by the slight difference in color only if one knows where to look. A cleaning should take care of that. So grateful to find that Simonian would do the job,I never asked for a price. I called Gloria when Israel finished so she would know how much time the job took to complete. The price was really fair for the work done. She could have taken advantage of me (small job, emergency repair) and I would have paid it. But because of the excellent treatment I received, as well as a fair price, I will definately be back for in a couple of months for kitchen flooring. Thank you Gloria and Israel! read more

I am just one of many here to give Simonian Flooring a 5-star review! My husband and I are full-time residents in Incline Village, but we RENT our place. Once we convinced our owners to upgrade the 21-yr-old carpets and warped kitchen floor in our unit, we were excited about the final outcome. Our owners recommended Simonian, having dealt with them in the past on previous properties. It was our first introduction to this very professional organization, with its top-notch crew and customer-oriented management. We must have been over in the showroom 2-3 times a day the first week we were selecting both carpet and flooring. Simonian offers a TON of materials to chose from. Even better, they are very generous about loaning sample books and swatches to take home and check in the actual surroundings (given lighting, placement, etc.,). Gloria was very knowledgeable about what kind of materials are suitable for the task at each budget level. After we narrowed our choice down to Mohawk Easy Options, and got the owners' approval, we were told to take a swatch home and ABUSE it! So we poured on tobasco, soy sauce, red wine, mustard, and many other food items that would typically destroy a carpet for good. We ground in the food items and let them sit about 4 hours. Then, we rinsed the swatch under plain tap water - no stain remover, so soap! - and voila, the stains came out. That was pretty incredible. As flexible and helpful as both Gloria and Abby were in the showroom, the installation crew is tip-top! First, Alex came by to take measurements and build the quote; then the installation took place over 3 days: kitchen floor, upstairs carpet & stairway, downstairs carpet. I was simply amazed at how relatively easy the entire process was and what an OUTSTANDING job was done! In the kitchen, the stove and fridge were pulled away from the wall to lay the floor planks in; throughout the house, the old carpet and padding were taken out, carried away, and the dust remaining carefully swept away. The crew worked tirelessly and as unobtrusively as one could expect on such a project. They helped move furniture out of the way, removed doors and floor molding for a better fit, and finished with a superb result. Night and day difference! When I walk out to my kitchen 100 times a day, and see the beautiful transition from new carpet to new flooring, I feel like we moved into a new home, no kidding. I would not hesitate to recommend Simonian Flooring or return to them for business in the future. read more

I had wall-to-wal, wool carpet installed well over a year ago. I complained from day one, because most of the seams showed and it was obviously a shoddy job. The former owner, Bruce, came out a few times, but nothing he did worked. Ultimately I let the issue die. That is until I called one last time at least a year later and Gloria answered and said she was now the owner and asked what she could do to help. From the get go, my experience with Gloria Simonian was the polar opposite. She came out immediately, took one look at the poor job and agreed to install an all-new carpeting of my choice FOR FREE!. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Gloria. She helped me pick out a beautiful carpet and took the time to get the color and material right this time. It's obvious she cares about her customers, stands by her word, and knows how to render quality service.
