My van had a coolant leak that was getting worse. I'm not from the area but got a strong referral for Simmonson's from Kurt at Costco tire store and then I read the reviews! I have a Mercedes GLK 350 with a 4Matic transmission. I was getting a shudder when it shifted into higher gears. I'm a shade tree mechanic but draw the line at transmission work. Called all the transmission shops in town and none of them could work on the 4Matic trans. After talking with Simmonson on the phone we decided to start with a simple transmission flush. Shudder is gone, car drives great, and I'm supper happy with the service. Love that they started with simplest (and least expensive) option first, rather than other nuclear options. (Although they did give me an estimate on a new transmission if we found our selves there) I highly recommend this shop! read more

Sam was our advisor and I can comfortably say that his expertise and familiarity with the brand is spot on! He outlined all the work needed on our Porsche and came in under the quoted price. The work was extensive and he kept us absolutely informed on it's progress and and since it is a German brand the cost should have been higher then it was. Skip the dealer and get your service done here, ours was the 100000 mile service and the dealer quoted us $5k for it and these guys beat it by a mile! Honest and up front. They gave me a list of what needed to be done and how much each was and then helped me decide which repairs were the most important and needed to be fine first. They picked me up and dropped me off at home before and after the repairs. If you have a rare car, or a Volvo with RWD and 4 cylinder engine (like an Amazon, 140,240,740,940) this is by far the best shop in Eastern WA. Use these guys for major work like valve lash adjustments. If you own a newer Volvo (850,960/SV90,SV70,S80), anything with a White Block, this is the only shop in the Tri-Cities that it is safe to take to for routine and scheduled maintenance. Do not take timing belt jobs to anybody else locally, they will mux it up and you'll have to go to Simmonsons anyway, this time to have your motor replaced for snapping a belt. read more

Recently, while driving home to Portland, our car started having problems. As we discovered, there are few options for Volvo service in the TriCities area. However, we were eventually directed to Don at Simmonson Automotive. Upon calling Simmonson, we were told they were totally booked and scheduling two weeks out. Rob at the front desk, checked with Don who said to bring the car in for diagnostics. What a relief! In the end, Don discovered what was causing the problem, installed a new part for the one that had failed and sent us on our way. Rob and Don were friendly, professional and so very helpful to a couple of people just passing through on the way home to Portland. Great service, very kind, efficient and got us home safely. I had my timing belt replaced at Simmonson Automotive about a month ago. My Volvo is running great. Even the little chirp I heard in the engine has disappeared. This is a high quality shop! They even gave me a ride home and picked me up when my car was done. The pricing was vary fair too. and no....they didn't pay to write a positive review and I'm not family.
