They completed a full gut renovation of our primary bathroom and a renovation of our guest bath, and the results exceeded our expectations. The tile work is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail is next level, and the job site was kept impeccably clean--which was especially important since my partner and I were living in the house with our dogs throughout the project. That level of thoughtfulness made a huge difference. Baldo was amazing at problem-solving and offering smart ideas and workarounds, especially given the surprises that come with an older home (ours was built in 1977). Michael was equally outstanding--always diligent, responsive, and proactive in addressing any questions or concerns I had along the way. We were so happy with their work that we've already had them back to update our kitchen with new backsplash and tile work, as well as an outdoor bar. I can't recommend Bela Development highly enough. Skilled, trustworthy, and a true pleasure to work with from start to finish.

From the start, Tom and his team were easy to communicate with, responsive, and clear about the process. The project was finished two weeks earlier than expected, which was a great plus for us to be able to move in back sooner. When unexpected and unforeseen issues came up, Tom handled everything very professionally. He took the time to explain what was going on, walked us through our options, and helped us choose solutions that made sense - all without surprise costs and while staying within our budget. The quality of the work was solid, the crew was respectful and clean, and we always felt informed and comfortable throughout the project. We're very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Bela Development to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable contractor.

Got 3 estimates. Guy was affordable and seemed the most trustworthy, so I went with KBLA. The crew did a great job. Guy is the best. Is really hands on with his crew. The ceiling was raised and wasn't perfect , so he has his crew do it again ( no extra charge). Would text me to let me know when crew would be coming, so communicating was good. Price was very reasonable for all the work he did. I had a side gate that his crew entered each day that had been broken for years. Guy fixed it without me asking for free. What a guy. If you want someone who is not going to rip you off, choose Guy and SoCal KBLA. Now the only problem is the room he did is the best looking in my house and makes me want to redo my whole house. Would definitely trust him with your home.

He will take your money and with an elementary job and you will never hear from him again. He will do the bare minimum of making the house look good in blurred wide angle photos but once you physically step in the house, everything falls apart where the house is NOT in a livable condition. There are gaps in floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchen, etc etc. Closets falling apart after more than holding 2 jackets. Warping floors with heavy damage painted over floorboards with no grout/caulk all around. Ceiling lights with gaps around with dirt/dust falling from attic every day. Toilets and bathtubs improperly installed and I've had to hire plumbers afterwards to fix his terrible work so that the bathroom is useable. Wires/pipes improperly installed on all kitchen appliances so I had to hire electricians/plumbers to fix his terrible work. Doors are installed upside down and wrong/heavy paint around so the doors don't open/close properly. Outside paint/stucco falling apart after a few weeks because he used the wrong type of paint. He used the wrong caulk/silicon all over the bathroom/kitchen so everything is ripping apart after a few weeks, or he didn't use any sealant at all, so there is water leaking into my walls. Screws/nails missing from all cabinets or random nails sticking out where I've cut my hand multiple times. Everything in the house is crooked if you take more than 5 seconds to look with a close eye in person. There is zero redeeming value. It is incredible guy still has a license and is in business. I would not trust him to microwave water.

From our first meeting with our Project Manager, Idan Behar, I knew we were in good hands. Idan is a true professional who genuinely cares about his clients. He worked with us step-by-step to ensure our vision came to life, and while we had a clear idea of what we wanted, his expert advice on materials and placement proved invaluable. The entire crew was exceptional. From the demo team and plumbers to the tile experts (Jorge and Lucia), drywall/paint (Ismael), and finishing touches (Leonardo), everyone was professional and considerate. As someone who works from home right next to the construction zone, I especially appreciated their thoughtfulness. They frequently checked in to see if they needed to "quiet down" or adjust their lunch breaks to accommodate my meeting schedule. I went through a stressful situation with roof damage that led to mold issues (which, if you've ever dealt with mold in LA, you know how overwhelming that can be). From the first call, Cali First made the entire process feel manageable. They didn't just patch things up they did it the right way. They replaced my roof properly, handled the mold remediation thoroughly, and made sure everything was sealed, safe, and done to code. No shortcuts. No vague answers. Total transparency. Their team was professional, clean, on time, and genuinely cared about doing quality work. In a city like Los Angeles where it can be hard to find contractors you truly trust, Cali First stands out. They communicated clearly, showed up when they said they would, and delivered results that gave me real peace of mind. My home feels safe again. That alone is priceless. If you want a company that treats your home like it's their own, handles mold the right way, and delivers high-quality remodeling work in California Cali First is it. 10/10. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

We requested two EV charger outlets, which required a more involved panel upgrade, and demolition revealed a few structural issues that needed extra support. These changes increased the cost, but nothing felt out of line for the added scope. Elite Builders was not the lowest-priced option we considered, but also not the highest. Gabriel was our main point of contact and the strongest part of the experience. He is knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely tries to help. He added a couple of items at no charge, stayed available by text throughout the project, and even sent an edible arrangement to thank us for our business. His effort and attitude made a real difference. My interactions with his partner, Sheron, were not as comfortable. His communication style made some conversations harder than they needed to be and it is something I would consider carefully if deciding on the company again. A few quality items needed follow-up, but everything was addressed in the end and the finished ADU looks great. Overall, this was a positive experience with a few bumps, and the final result and Gabriel's commitment stood out.

When we had issues with some of the work done, Gabriel was right on it to make sure it was taken care of immediately. This type of attention is not always given with other people we've dealt with before. Gabe takes pride in his company to do an excellent job for his clients. After a month and a half since the job was completed, Gabe came over to assess the job, after we had a week of steady rain, to make sure we didn't have any other questions for him. If you like to stick to a schedule, scheduling with the company and trying to get in touch with them was awful. They would say that they would show up on Sunday at noon, and then never show up and never text to cancel. They would commit to showing up at 9-11am and then text me confused when I wasn't home to let them in at 3pm. I would text and call Sammy or whichever contractor I worked with and they wouldn't respond for days. The job was finished over a month ago and I am still trying to get a receipt, summary of work, and mold test results. They also left the demolition trash in my garage and told me they'd come back to throw it away (they never came back and I had to throw it away). Again, they do great work! But I personally wouldn't schedule with them again because of how frustrating communication and scheduling can be. I encourage them to clean up the logistical side of the house. Hire a scheduler and a dispatcher, send confirmation texts before the scheduling window, and send a text in advance if you can't make it on time or at all. Having the skills to remodel and repair is half of what someone is hiring when selecting a contractor. Being on time, organized, and reliable is the other half.
