Now, let me explain. I needed to get my brows done. Last time I had them done were a month before I got married back in 2024! It truly felt like eons ago and I got sick and tired of having to pencil in my brows every morning. That's when I discovered Thao. After peering through dozens of different artists, her work stood out to me the most. I saw that her work looks clean, detail-oriented, and experienced. I knew I had to get in touch with her. On the day of my appointment, she really took the time to understand how my brows were shaped and how to elevate my look. She made sure each angle was perfect, and took very meticulous measurements. Once she got started I literally didn't feel anything. The entire experience was so peaceful, calm, and relaxing, so much so that I fell into my first ever brow nap. After maybe 20 minutes, I woke up to beautiful brows on me. She had me sit up a bit to look at the measurements and ensure that no spot was missed. Then she would lay me back down and continue layering while I fell back into my brow nap. I've had my brows done by other artists several times over the course of 10 years, and this experience was the most calm and relaxing experience I have had! Her office also has a very welcoming, clean, and relaxing vibe inside. I highly recommend Thao for all of your brow needs. She is experienced and simply an amazing human.

I was told she wasn't available for a call and to text instead, which I did. I sent reference photos of styles I was considering, along with photos of my natural lashes with mascara. I explained that I was between two looks and was hoping for professional guidance, as I've had lash extensions done before and haven't loved the results in the past. I was genuinely trying to be thoughtful and clear so expectations would be aligned. The response I received was surprising and disappointing. I was told that I was "too confusing," that I couldn't decide what I wanted, and that I would confuse her lash techs, so they didn't think they could work with me. The interaction felt dismissive and placed the blame on me for simply asking questions and seeking guidance. While I respect a business's right to choose its clients, I was honestly taken aback by how this was handled. I can't believe a business would turn away a potential client in this manner rather than offering guidance or setting expectations professionally. As a result, I'll be exploring other options. Given the otherwise positive reviews, this experience was unexpected and left a very poor first impression.

Scheduling online was easy and I was able to book a lash lift & tint for my partner with a brow tint & shaping for myself at the same time. Madison did my brows and Hayley did my partner's lashes. They are so kind and so funny. The conversation was great and time passed by so quickly. Madison asked if I was using a variety of products to ensure that waxing would be the best route for shaping. Since I use retinol and glycolic acid, she ended up tweezing my brows to be safe. Hayley walked through the steps for my partner's lashes as this was her first time doing any of it. I don't have to wear any mascara and it lasts for quite a few weeks. I'm addicted now and and go back every few weeks to freshen up my eyelashes and get my eyebrows tinted. Her studio is also very relaxing. There is parking off the alley in the back of her studio. There generally is street parking as well if there is no parking in back. I highly recommend Ariel!
