I just moved to a new office and am willing to hustle through the red light district to get here on an almost-daily basis. As a former New Yorker, I have very high bagel standards and had given up on Europe completely. Simits are not exactly bagels, but they are amazing - this cafe serves them in many different ways including shaped like a roll with cheese and sausage baked in. My favorite is the classic sesame with cheese melted on the inside. I'm also happy to see they serve eggs so I can essentially reverse-engineer a sausage (or pastrami) egg and cheese sandwich. They also serve Wackers coffee - delicious. The restaurant looks small from the front, but there is actually a large seating area in the back and it is always bustling. This is my absolute favorite breakfast in Frankfurt - don't walk by without checking it out!

Around 11€ :) Little breakfast for 2 persons

I stopped in early on a weekday morning for a cup of coffee and a pastry - service was friendly and…read morefast, my flat white was fantastic (one of the best ones I've had in the past year), and my pastel de nata was delicious. Bunca doesn't have wifi, but they do have a lovely sitting area in the back that wasn't too crowded when I was there. I considered buying coffee beans in my way out, but by then, a line had formed out the door! From my brief experience, Bunca's popularity is totally deserved!

Bunca is definitely a great little cafe in Frankfurt's Willy Brandt Platz area. I got a flat white here and it came in one of the most beautiful cups I have ever seen. It kind of made my day (that and the great taste of the coffee). My only complaint about this place is its lack of wifi. I understand why cafes often do this, but as a person who works from cafes, it is difficult for me to settle in and visit cafes without wifi frequently. In an area like WBP though, it is probably best to not offer wifi as they can keep business and seats turning over more frequently. Nevertheless, I will be back here often every time I am in the area. They take pride in their coffee and customer service and places like this are not easy to come by.

It was obvious that I was traveling (I had my bags with me) but most of the staff was very gracious when I asked questions about what to order or how to pronounce things, which was very kind. My server went out of her way to check in and to make recommendations. The atmosphere itself is relaxing, cozy, and comfortable, but at the same time so alive with colors and art and interesting things to explore while you eat. There's seating indoors and a spacious sidewalk patio seating area. I ordered a cappuccino to drink and the Power Frühstrück to eat, which ended up being an amazing spread. It included a light omelet, a basket of fresh bread, jam, fruit, cheese, cream cheese, olives and an orange juice. It was plenty of food for a solid meal and was less than 15 euros. I also enjoyed the little touches (even if I couldn't read them!) on the menu about the business and the note from the owner. It all seemed very thoughtfully done. I would love to come back and explore more of the menu and spend a little bit more time enjoying myself in the space!

It is more spacious than one would expect from the outside with about 8 toal tables. Good amount of space and separation between each table. Definitely less crammed than Bruhmarkt in Bockenheim which my normal go-to spot. I ordered the Ethiopian coffee (4,10 euro). It is on the expensive side (similar coffee is 3,90 euro as t Burhmarkt), but quality is very good. Free wifi, comfortable atmosphere and good coffee make this a place to spend more than a few hours relaxing.
