The very back room is an amazing tea house styled in British style with tons of beautiful teapots hanging off the ceiling. There is also an outdoor area for the warm days and it's really charming. For ambience this place gets 5 stars. They have an extensive drinks menu including 12 different types of hot chocolate. They have cafe food and you can get a decent meal here. I have been here a few times and love it. The pastries and hot chocolate are good and the staff are very helpful. They also have a nice self made ice cream counter which had a handful of flavours. I have had the Eis once before and it was quite ok. I love it here and will be back for a drink or a meal once in a while. It's a gorgeous place in town for chocoholics and lovers of good pastries :-)

The owners are very knowledgeable about Italian wine and spirits and do not cater to very commercial brands, rather they opt to showcase smaller, niche companies with interesting heritage stories. We ended up purchasing several bottles to gift to our family and friends, and they were all well received. The prices are very fair. I would definitely shop here again.

They carry wines from about 45 small Italian producers and have a good selection of Italian cold cuts, cheeses and groceries. There are a few tables inside to sit and enjoy a glass or wine or a coffee and of course you can buy to takeaway as well. It's a couple that run the place and it's a charming old Fachwerk house that has been done up beautifully inside. It's surprisingly huge but looks tiny from the outside. They were extremely friendly and helpful and their prices are quite ok. The quality of their products is also high and I ended up buying a few things besides wine here. A fabulous shop well worth stopping at in town. It's a little slice of Italy in town (there are a few slices of Italy in this town ;-)). Great products, great service and lovely ambience.

It's also one of the few shops in town that is open before 8am. On Sunday's there is a huge lineup for bread, once again, open by 8am and, one of the few places in town open early. They have most of the local varieties of bread and it's quite ok. Nothing special but made fresh daily. The coffee here is also ok. I come here as it is convenient in the morning. I wouldn't say that the bread is good enough to make the trip, but, it's relatively good and prices are also ok.
