Doctor Tashman and her nurse are the GOAT! My little man (4yr) loves coming to Dr. Tashman's for exams. She's great with the kids, keeps things light and fun. Dr. Tashman's nurse follows suit. I've been coming to Dr.Tashman for two years now and brought my newborn in as well. Dr. Tashman is an amazing Dr. She is so kind, attentive, patient, and takes her time with my sons. She really does care about her patient and the family. She greets you with a handshake or a hug. I read through the old reviews and I haven't been greeting by rude front desk staff. Love, love this place! We went last week for the first time for my almost 5 year old son's appointment with DR. Brooks! Dr. Brooks is absolutely amazing! The BEST!! I wish we knew about him when my kids were younger. We just recently changed doctors. DR. Brooks is very attentive, detailed, genuine and kind. My son was so nervous about his appointment and getting shots but DR. Brooks put him right at ease. He made my son laugh & explained what was going to happen each step of the way. Absolutely amazing office! The front desk are so friendly and accomadating. Scheduling appointments is very easy and they do same day sick appointments. From checking in to the doctor's room it has been very wonderful. Our favorite doctor is Dr. Tashman. She is the best, I highly recommend her. She is very kind and sweet with my children. I had no wait to get an appointment, and felt they were very competent and also knew how to bill correctly my new health insurance. Simi Pediatrics has been nothing but great! The front staff is so helpful and friendly. I usually don't encounter that at most doctor offices. I can always get my children in for an appointment even when I call last minute. The nurses are so caring and make the kids comfortable. All the doctors are great, especially Dr. Brooks. Beyond frustrated right now with this office! In October of 2016 I received a bill for services supposedly rendered in December of 2015 and thankfully I have all Dr visits for my children notated & not one was visited at that time! I immediately called to speak with billing and got transferred to Shelly whom couldn't pull up an outstanding bill, confirmed nothing was owed and will follow through to make sure the glitch is fixed- literally said (because I notated all this on that bill), "disregard that bill". Now, nearly 6 months later after never hearing from them again, I receive a letter today from a debt collector service! This has got to be the biggest joke that they will regret to make if they dare impact our credit due to the incompetence of their internal process and personal. Yelp is my first place of complaint and will take this as far as I need to so that this does not repeat itself (since it appears others are having this problem too)! Thankfully our pediatrician made her move a year ago and now this is all making sense as to why. This office is getting run down, poorly managed and out of desperation going after anyone that may fall into paying. I truly hope to get this matter resolved. My biggest frustration is having to fix other people's problem that impacts tremendously to oneself as it will cost us more than it cost them to claim false accusations now having to clean up! read more

Plus I gave them my insurance and they never billed them..sooo here I am 2 years later dealing with the bill... Every time I tried calling to settle or talk to someone they could not find it, could not help me ect. I work in customer service and had never experienced such a bad service. Ok, the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the front office staff. They are often rude, and unfriendly. Especially the older long gray haired woman, she never smiles, and on two separate occasions, I have heard her badmouthing clients to other staff, within full earshot of patients in the waiting room. I have worked as a receptionist at medical offices before, and would NEVER act that unprofessionally! They are abrupt on the phone when you call, and have completely ignored us after we have come out from having our daughter's shots, and not offered a smile or even a little sticker to ease my kiddo's crying from the shots. I like Dr. Tashman, always friendly and sweet, and thorough with our 2 year old. Not a fan of Dr. Patton, she is unfriendly and does not like to answer questions at all! read more

The first time I came in contact with this office was when My son was born. We first saw Dr Doberne & all was well. We had to change peds due to insurance changes. We are now back 3 1/2 years later & have been seeing Dr Tashman. They do not accept the insurance we have so I choose to pay out of pocket & Dr Tashman is totally worth it!! We had a bad experience at the place we got stuck with & I'm so glad I chose to come back. We recently saw Dr brooks as an urgent visit on a Saturday, i was so glad that We were able to be seen right away. My son had been very afraid of going to the doctors but this is no longer an issue. I feel like they make it a point to make my little guy feel comfortable when we're there. I've never had a problem with the doctors or the staff. I really hope it stays that way read more

What is up with the front desk??? These girls are so rude all the time. They make it too obvious that they hate their job! I've never seen them smile. How sad, poor girls. I've been coming here for 8 months and finally decided to move on with a new pediatrician. I had been seeing Dr. Tashman, she's super sweet. However, I do so much research and I didn't feel like she was too knowledgeable with babies. One of a few examples : she didn't know breast milk is sweet and was shocked when I told her?! She gave me a prescription for vitamin D, not knowing if my baby needed it, simply because some babies have a deficiency. I never gave it to my baby, she's doing amazing. I wish I didn't have to switch because she's actually really nice but I need to feel more comfortable knowing she knows babies. The nurses are ok, there's only one I feel is nice and likes kids, the others seem as miserable as the front desk girls. I won't miss dealing with the front desk!! read more

AVOID DR TASHMAN AT ALL COST!!!!! She's a FRAUD of a pediatrician. My kid's Dr. is actually Dr. Pattan (who is absolutely AMAZING!!!!) but I had the misfortune to see Dr. Tashman on 2 separate occasions as she was the on call doctor at the time. My first encounter with Dr. Tashman was over a year ago, my daughter who was 1 at the time had a really bad rash on her bum (it was very raw and she was bleeding in numerous areas) for 2 weeks before I took her in. When Dr. Tashman came in, she just looked at my daughter asked a couple of questions before she started writing something on her notepad, which shocked me since my daughter was still fully clothed and she never asked to see anything...so I had to suggest if she needed to take a look at it, her response was "suuure" as in, 'if you really want me to'.....So she took a quick look, and I believe she recommended I buy organic diapers and wipes (which btw are super expensive, but of course I got them as per the "doctor's recommendations) and stuck with the organics as per her advice for 2 months before I had had enough and had to schedule another appointment with Dr. Pattan, who recommended something as simple as Triple Paste, and what do you know...within days the raw and redness was gone!! So Tashman ended up wasting my time, my money (had to pay her for the pointless visit and forced me to book an additional appointment to get the problem resolved, not to mention the pain my daughter had to go through and the expensive organic products). My 2nd encounter with her was a few months ago, again she was the only dr on call at the time and my son who had just turned 1 had a bad fever. As soon as she heard that he had a fever, she said "I had a girl come in this morning with a fever as well but it's normal, they're fine". She said there's nothing wrong with him but just to make sure we can take a urine sample, but that it's not necessary since there's nothing wrong with him...so when my son was being super fussy and screaming in the office, I decided since the "doctor" said it's not necessary, then we can just leave without completing it. What kind of a person claiming to be a DOCTOR says that there's nothing wrong with a person (let alone a CHILD) who has a FEVER??? Anyone can tell you a fever is one of the FIRST indication of some sort of bacterial or viral infection!!!!! The next day his temperature went up even more, upwards of 103 degrees, so I had to RESCHEDULE another appointment (notice a pattern??) and ended up seeing Dr. Brooks (who wasn't very pleasant to see, he seemed grumpy and mean and not friendly at all, specially given that his patients are all children). He ended up diagnosing him with something I can't remember and recommended we stick with ibuprofen and give it a few more days and that was that. When I got my bill from Simi Pediatrics and saw that she was chargine me about $100 for her pointless visit, it felt like a slap across the face. I spoke with billing about dropping the charge as it was unfair to pay for a negligent visit, they advised me to speak with a Jennifer who said I had to speak with the Dr directly because only she can remove the charge. I discussed the situation with Dr. Pattan first as I didn't feel comfortable talking to the doctor directly as it will probably create a problem, but again Dr Pattan said it's unfortunately the only way, and there was nothing wrong with telling her that the charge is unfair. So when I finally got to speak with Tashman, she got on the defense, saying that my child had only had a fever for 1 day which is why she couldn't diagnose him and that I still have to pay because that's what Dr. Brooks told her. I then had a call from Dr. Brooks who then threatened that they would take me to COURT!!!!!??! All for a $100 which is insignificant to a doctor (or myself actually but it was just a matter of principle). These doctors are both dirty and sleazy and aren't afraid to use intimidation methods. I would avoid BOTH but Tashman can't diagnose anything and will waste your time, your money, but much more importantly, your children will suffer!!!!!! read more

Have been coming here since my now 6 y/o son was born and now have 2 other kids, too. Dr. Doberne is our primary but Dr. Tashman fills in for us when he's not available. Love both these doctors! They always take the time to thoroughly address all of my concerns. I'm a very anxious mom and tend to get worried about stupid stuff, but they never make me feel ridiculous, they take me seriously, and they are very reassuring. I feel like Dr. Doberne really "gets" my challenging oldest son and remembers details about him, even though he doesn't see him all that often. Since our youngest was born with serious medical problems, including a weak immune system, the entire office has been extremely accommodating in terms of limiting his exposure to sick kids, making sure he can get in when needed, often same day (usually once a week). I really feel like Dr. Doberne, Dr. Tashman, and the office staff have partnered with us in the baby's medical adventures and my whole family has benefited from their support. Also, I have had only positive experiences with the office/appointment staff. Recommend to all my mommy friends! read more
