The office and waiting area at Taylor Peds is amazing and definitely seems clean. The nurses are super friendly and GREAT with kids especially Nurse Karen. But I found both Dr. Cai and Dr. Taylor to be non personable and short. Dr. Cai being more so than Dr. Taylor. Two incidents happened. We took our son in in February for all signs pointing to RSV (he was 2 yr 3 mo at the time and going to daycare) but when we went in we saw Dr. Cai and she refused to test for RSV and instead tested for CoVID which was negative. She then simply said it wasn't RSV season and that he probably just has another virus and sent us on our way. We should have insisted and advocated (even tho why should we have too?) to be tested for RSV because low and behold one week later we were in the ER with our 4 month daughter because SHE had RSV...wonder where she got it from? we told Dr. Taylor at her well checkup that she had RSV which she got from our son who did come in and Dr. Cai didn't test him for it. She asked how old he was? Because if he was older then usually RSV doesn't affect kids (Even though she had seen him for his 2 year check up, she didn't remember him). When we said how old he was she just said "oh" and moved on. I think she knew Dr. Cai should have tested him for RSV too. Next incident just happened and is why we'll be switching pediatricians. We took our now 2 1/2 year old in because we were on day 3 of him spiking a fever to 104 if we didn't consistently give him Motrin/Tylenol every 4 hours. We took him in and the visit was maybe all 5 minutes. Dr. Cai checked his feet and hands, looked down his throat and I THINK she checked his ears but I'm not even sure it was so quick and short. She asked why we brought him in and I said because his fever was so high and it'd been three days. She said oh 104 isn't high. I then asked what's high then??? To which she replied 107/108! Like what?!! I would never let my child get that high before taking action! It really seemed she was advising me to let his temp get that high because it's "no big deal". Wow. Then she insisted his throat looked fine but I was persistent this time that he have a strep throat test because I honestly don't trust her judgement. She was right but the fact that I've lost all trust in the doctor is definitely reason to jump ship. As mentioned, the office is nice and clean and we never wait. The nurses are great but the two doctors seem burnt out or something. Just not super friendly and overall short and cold during visits.

There are few western doctors that thoroughly take into account things like diet and lifestyle and Kawasaki always made me feel like her advice was sound and THOROUGH. She knows so much about all the things and stays current by reading a ton constantly...she's seriously always learning the latest news in children's health. Sadly we moved away and I am trying to find a new amazing doctor for my daughter. I can't find anyone that compares. Dr. Matthew: I am a mother of FOUR. All four of my children have been seeing Dr. Matthew for over 13+ years. Dr. Matthew was also the Pediatrician when my son was born at Los Robles. Dr. Matthew is a very tenured and wise doctor that has knowledge across MANY aspect of physical and mental health of a child. He also has tremendous experience in caring for children with Special Needs including those with Autism as my son is severally Autistic, legally blind, and has epileptic seizures. Dr. Matthew truly cares, he is a matter of fact gentlemen with professional bed side manners. He is informative, kind, willing to explain, provides options and alternatives. He is not a "go to prescription" doctor. He will not prescribe a medication just because you want one, he will do his job within the highest, most ethical, genuine and informative manner he trusts. Their Clean Office: Is always clean, it may not be the fancy office of Beverly Hills or Westlake but it is well maintained and very clean at all times. Vaccinations: Having a child with Autism and then having two more since my son's diagnosis, Dr. Matthew and Dr. Hochman understand my concern in a very big way. They are NOT anti-vacc'ers, they simply listen and keep their mind open to a parents' concern. Dr. Matthew always brings out a factual study for me to read that was recently featured in the New England Journal of Medicine. I love this! And, I love the fact that he cares deeply for our children. He remembers every patients name, asks about the extracurricular activities, inquires as to the importance of eating helping, playing sports, going to school, and most of all he remembers everything and will ask you five years later, how's your son??? And by then, they are already in college. The Office Staff: If someone says their staff is not nice or friendly or patient or understanding, then we are clearly talking about the wrong office. They accommodate in every way possible. They offer payment plans, they switch appts. at the last minute, they squeeze you in where they can. But most of all, when it's late at night and you have a deep concern due to your child's illness, you can beat the bank, you will get a call back in moments and be taken very serious as to your concern. You are always in good hands with Dr. M and/or Dr. H. Like Father Like Daughter! Fabulous front office team, lots of happy faces, smiles, and warm greetings. AND EXTREMELY ORGANIZED! I explained that we can't decide to change clinics before ever having a visit or meeting the doctors, this is not obvious to me. She showed no interest in helping and rushed to hang up. This makes me question their priorities: are they here to help sick children, or just to sign up new patients? A 4-year-old with an ear infection was turned away because I couldn't promise loyalty to a clinic I've never even visited. It also shows what kind of person is answering the phone when you need help most, and that's exactly the moment a practice should be showing compassion, not indifference. This interaction says a lot about the values this practice operates with.

Sometimes the wait time is a little long when you call. What I truly appreciate though is the staff are very caring and will always make time for their patients. Yesterday I took my son to the ER at 5am. Before the office even opened someone had read the report and called me with advice and to get us in same day for an appointment. Ashley the NP came up with a treatment protocol that none of the ER drs had even suggested. She has excellent bedside manner and is the only medical professional that my son has allowed to look in his ears. After a really stressful day I was so grateful for the team for taking the initiative to call me and get us ok the schedule. Thank you all so much!

I recognize the amount of time and effort it took to get my necessary medication approved, so thank you. They were extremely attentive and flexible with my schedule as well, as I am a very busy student myself. Every time I visited, Dr. Omino took the time to really explain all my options and answered all my questions. He took my symptoms seriously and never once dismissed me. He thought outside the box and ensured he did a full diagnostic work up for all potential diagnoses. I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Omino's endless advocacy that truly makes a difference in not only my life, but all of his patients' lives.

I was seen in the ER on Thursday, taken by ambulance, made the appointment that day…read moreand they couldn't give me an appt until Wenesday (which is today) and they sent me a text yesterday afternoon telling me they are out of network and canceled my appointment. I have a PPO with out of network coverage through Aetna so I called them and they said they dont take Aetna at all and was rude about it and hung up. So now Im back to square one, will take at least a week to get in to another Dr since they gave.me absolutely no notice and in the meantime I can not walk, on crutches, and in a lot of pain. Im going to need an MRI delaying diagnosis even longer. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE AND DO NOT CARE. They sho I ld have told me this when I made the appointment, they obtained my insurance information and instead made me wait a week to tell me the day before and didnt care. The Dr's are probably about as good as their staff. Dont waste your time with these people because literally thats what you will do, waste your time

This was a first visit for my mom to this location with her new primary care provider…read more The building has plenty of parking as well as ADA access. The suite we were going to is located on the third floor as well as the lab. When we entered, we received a friendly greeting by the front desk clerk and she checked us in. We were quickly brought into exam and after vitals and a few questions the provider joined us. The exam room was spacious, bright and clean. There were two chairs for my Mom and I to sit. The experience was very pleasant for my Mom. She liked all the staff very much. From my POV all staff was kind and very professional. Shout out to Dr. Kulai, Jona and Juan for providing excellent healthcare to my Mom.
