If I could give ZERO stars, I would…read more First of all, this address is wrong- they DO NOT have an office in Boston. Secondly, DO NOT TRUST THEM. I truly have no words for the service we got (but also I won't shut up about it bc if I can save someone else the hassle, I will). We hired a CPA this year bc of some issues with our state tax withholding due to moving across states. 1) From the get go, I felt funny about them because I knew there were certain info that would be needed (but they didn't take it even when I offered). Due to a HR mishap with my job, my state taxes were taken from NY (and not from MA). They never asked for more specific info (pay stubs for example) to rectify the taxes. I repeatedly asked the person assigned to us to reiterate the issue to us so that we knew she understood what needed to be fixed, and she couldn't. But they have such good reviews, so I should trust the right?! 2) Due to the move, my husband had two W-2's- one from NY and one from MA. We accidentally forgot to upload the NY W-2 (that's on us). BUT instead of asking for it, they counted the MA W-2 for NY as well. The outcome was that we now owe thousands in taxes due to the income being counted twice! 3) AND FOR THE CHERRY ON TOP- THEY FILED WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. The wrong version, where we owe thousands. And then didn't tell us. We only found out bc we got a letter from the IRS. And then they took their sweet time responding to us about amending, not that we trust them to even do the amendment correctly. And when we requested a refund, they refused and instead offered money off our next service- AS IF. We had to file fraud via our credit card and point out that what they did was ILLEGAL to get our money back.

If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would…read more Working with Dimov was one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I ever had as an adult. I first connected with them through a personal connection and expected everything to go smoothly. For context, I've always done my own taxes without issues, but this year we have across state taxes so it's a bit more complicated and we decided to bite the bullet and use a tax professional. Dimov was initially very responsive and seemed exceptionally professional. HOWEVER, that turned 180 degrees as soon as we paid the fees and signed the contract. It was incredibly difficult to get a hold of anyone. They initially promised use that our taxes would be done before the 4/15 deadline. And then it's RADIO-SILENCE until 4/15. Even though I emailed them almost weekly since mid-March asking for an update. Absolutely NO RESPONSE. And then on 4/15, after we desperately called multiple times, someone responded and told us that there's been a delay and they have already filed for a tax extension for us. The entire day was extremely stressful for us as we were at work and worried about our taxes being late. Then, you would expect things to get better, but no. I continued to email them for updates almost weekly, and it's essentially radio-silent until mid-June, when they presented us with a draft return. The draft returns did not spell my name correctly and had several obvious typos. After the returns were filled, we eventually received a penalty for health insurance coverage in one of the states. We realized it's because we only provided proof for 6 months out of the year to Dimov. But since we are hiring a supposed "professional", I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to remind us, "hey, you only provided 6-months of insurance proof, this will invoke a penalty. Do you have proof for the rest of the year?" Nope, nothing like that. They just let us take a penalty. If you expect timely service, Dimov will NOT provide it. If you expect professional responses, Dimov will be radio-silent. If you expect to save money, Dimov does not care. Please avoid this service at all cost. You're better off doing your own taxes than spending money on them. You will probably end up more stress, spend more time, and get less refunds. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Oh where to start. Reached out to this firm based on a recommendation. All correspondence was via…read moree-mail. Determined that the price for a return was reasonable (estimated around $450-$550) plus whatever extra complications. Sent the partner my previous turbo tax file (per request) and then asked two questions regarding my tax situation. This turned into a bit of an exchange over email, even had to send some additional papers. Mind you, this is all going on way before the actual tax return. One question answered, another not, but it did not matter because I figured once the actual tax prep began I can get all the information. Get a bill a few weeks later for $400 for "emails". Yeah, brutal. Turns out that answering two questions and going over some papers will run you four hundred bucks. Naturally, I resisted as that is crazy. So he offered a discount to $300, but that was still too much. I am being charged for emails what people pay for basic tax returns? Mind you at no point whatsoever do you get warned or that you are on the clock. Few months later collector comes knocking, I explain the situation and seemingly everything is quiet. Nope, they sue me in small claims. I figured why not, there is no way this is reasonable. Feels like a giant firm fleecing the small guy. Court will surely rule in my favor. Nope, clerk magistrate barely cares about my story and rules against me. Best part? The lawyers (yes, two ) had two cases that day. Apparently I am not the only one who finds the practices of this firm shady, underhanded and sneaky. However they still got their money from me one way or another, too bad it was via the courts and not actual services. Stay the hell away folks.

After an initial meeting with Olga Sevidova that went well, I sent her all my documents and a request for an additional document to be filed that went unanswered. She requested a meeting, then failed to confirm the meeting date/time and sent a zoom invite 3 minutes prior to the meeting (which I of course missed) and said this was their office policy. When we finally met to review the tax return that she had prepared, there were glaring errors right away. Lev Agranovich (the owner) had to step in to make the corrections needed. Instead of taking accountability, Olga then proceeded to bill me for an additional 100$ for the extra form she claimed I had asked for last minute, when in our documentation I had requested it a month earlier with no transparency on extra cost. She became rude, defensive, and unprofessional in her emails and told me it was my fault because I had missed her virtual meeting (that she had failed to confirm). I finally agreed to make the extra payment to just be done with the process, yet she was unable to provide a final tax document with all the corrected edits, refused to answer my email follow ups and just kept asking for payment. Despite her incompetence, Lev (who was cc'ed on all the communications) did not step in to help mediate the interactions. I have never had a professional interaction with this degree of poor communication and poor product quality, and the inability to provide a final document for review prior to payment. She then proceeded to tell me I would be billed regardless and threatened a collection agency should I not pay for a tax return that I was unable to review, and that had prior mistakes made. I finally had to send AGS Tax group a certified letter documenting the inadequate work and refusal of payment before they finally provided a completed tax return for my review. This was a huge inconvenience and headache with many hours on my end wasted sending them all my documents and I will never be returning here. I have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability. You should find another place to prepare your tax documents.
