Very disappointing experience with this firm. They are non responsive to time sensitive issues, not returning calls/emails. Very unprofessional. read more

My experience was very disappointing. To start, the staff couldn't find some files I uploaded in their rudimentary tools, and it took multiple calls to clarify the issue and correct the missing data. There was also a small mistake in my return, which may happen, but again it took forever to fix, due to delays, unanswered calls, and multiple people involved. Even if I submitted all my data very early, we ended up filing at the very last minute, where I had to chase them by calling multiple times a day. I was surprised by the confusion that seemed to dominate their process. read more

Very good firm, more like excellent. Very helpful and takes his time when talking with you. I have had great experiences with this firm. I had changed to him after my long time accountant retired. And have been very satisfied would definitely recommend. read more

Reliable , . Service quality is good. Sometimes it's hard to make an appointment during work days but overall not bad experience

Update 2022: We've been going to Goldberg and Associates for few years now and we cannot be happier with his work and the attention the office gives us. Last year we had a more complicated tax situation and Don helped us navigate with ease. After filing, my wife and I met with him for an hour and it was almost like meeting with a trusted, expert family friend. His advice went beyond taxes and we really appreciated it. His office staff are courteous and responsive. Cathy is phenomenal. We continue to highly recommend Don and his team for all your tax needs. You won't get a personalized and accurate tax advice somewhere else, especially with the bigger firms. read more

I don't recommend this business they said we would meet in person during our phone conversation on a specific date, but the date came and passed. No response from them. No response at all but to my emails or calls. This is very unprofessional. read more

My taxes went to the wrong state so I got a bill. Don spoke with me for ten minutes when I called and met with me the next day. He went through the problem and called the state office. We chatted for a while about personal finances too. Very helpful! read more

Don is the absolute BEST there is in Tax and Accounting. I almost don't want to review him so well here because I want to keep him all to myself. He is caring and friendly and most of all, extremely good and smart at what he does. I would give him 10 stars if Yelp would go that high! That's how highly I think of him! You are in good hands here. read more

I wrote my original review 10 years ago. Don and his team have been an important part of my families financial health over the last decade. Don Goldberg is excellent at what he does and he does it with great integrity, which is very important to me. He is extremely knowledgeable and lays out all the options that are available and goes above and beyond to meet his clients' needs. He has a long term and loyal clientele for that very reason. In addition, he is just an all around good guy who rides in the Pan Mass Challenge, which is a huge statement to his character and desire to give back. I ran a business network for many years and would refer anyone to Don, knowing they will be well taken care of. Renee R read more

I just finished a two hour new client meeting with Donald Goldberg and am equally impressed with his level of expertise and his ability to communicate complex tax situations in such an understanding way. I have been considering doing a condo conversion of my 3-Family home and had a ton of questions in regard to the Tax implications. I was referred to Don by a real estate attorney and was a little apprehensive about calling him up out of the blue and firing off 15 or 20 Tax questions to him. As I worked my way down the list Don answered every question quickly while also offering additional scenarios to consider. He provided some real peace of mind in knowing that I could rely on someone to sort through all of the Tax code that will surely come into play with selling off 3 condos. I think I've found my new tax guy. read more

Goldberg & Associates serves large, medium and small clients alike. Don Goldberg is deeply knowledgeable and exceptionally personable. I have sought his advice on general questions as well as the specifics of my annual returns. Not only has he generously guided me over the years, even rolling up his sleeves to crunch credit versus deduction scenarios with me, but he is accommodating and fair in his fees. I trust his attention to detail and integrity. The more complex my returns become in this new tax environment, the more I plan to utilize his expertise. For an individual seeking advice, he is able to support the do-it-oneselfer all the way up to the hands-offer, although most of his clients avail themselves of the firm's full platform of services. read more

I used Don for the first time a few years ago and was very disappointed with the experience. There were some mistakes in the paperwork that was sent to me from his office which caused the IRS to fine me a few thousand dollars. That stuff happens sometimes, I realize that. The disappointment comes from how Don handled it. I expected he would take on the discussions with the IRS explaining what happened, and I even expected for him to make right on the money that I lost at his mistake. He did neither of these, I was completely on my own. He offered to cover half the cost (never happened) and when I brought this up he then offered to do my taxes for free the following year. He never returned my calls after that. To me the worst part was that he advised me not to pay a penalty that the state fined me and said he would follow up and send in a letter and amendment to the state IRS office - he never did this. That is absolutely unacceptable and could have placed me in an even worse situation if I hadn't paid the penalty upfront. I ended up going to a chain tax office (you can probably guess which one) and explained my situation and begged for help. I paid $75 and didn't talk to the IRS again until the issue was squashed. I see Don has some good reviews so I'm sure I was the exception, not the rule. But beware.... read more
