Also, I think Centric is one of the few places in Spain where I've seen bagels on the menu. The restaurant has a decent selection of breakfast sandwiches served on bagels, rolls, and croissants. During my visit, I went the the poached egg with hollandaise sauce and smoked salmon on a toasted croissants OMG this was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches that I've ever had. The croissant was toasted and oh so flaky; the egg was perfectly poached; and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was freshly made. In fact, if we were not having an early lunch after our beach adventure, I probably would have ordered another. However, I did order a few trifasicos (espresso with brandy). As a tourist, I thought the prices were pretty fair compared to other similar places in area. The various breakfast sandwiches can run from 5 to 10 Euros. Also, I thought the service was very exceptional.

We ordered a Baked Brie cheese with jam as an appetizer - oh man, it was mind-blowingly delicious. Outside was firm and crispy and when you bite it - the brie cheese just directly melt into your mouth with the great combination of the jam's sweetness !! ( if you love Brie cheese, this plate will be a must order !). For the main course, we had a suckling pig and spaghetti bolognese - suckling pig was decent and different. It was made as some kind of cake style, and the meat was tender and not too greasy. Spaghetti bolognese was also delicious - nothing special, but with good traditions :) Aside plus was the wine - house white wine was light and easy to drink, they are also not stinky with it ( the pull the wine almost to the top of the glass). Highlight : Free wifi Good food - all dishes were great and easy Friendly service Multi-language menu ( English, Spanish, french, german) Affordable price

The night before we ate at a different restaurant that blew our mind with its flavors. So, we picked the local cuisine to have a similar experience. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong restaurant. The server, and the food, both were disgrace to the Mallorcan experience. The place is equally expensive but not worth it. If you are a travelers like us and are looking for a better experience with Mallorcan cuisine and service, look for Zarzales instead. They deliver a top notch service experience no matter your food choices (veg/vegan or not)

You can't miss Ca'n Panxo because of it's large modern looking sign that stands out from Majorca's older style buildings. They are reasonably priced and perhaps edging into slightly pricier but such is the way of modern European restaurants. Their menu is diverse with options from the sea and land that embody Spanish cuisine principles but aren't afraid to embark on their own unique path and show some new flair. It is a cozy restaurant so the wait staff is accommodating and willing to take time to craft your authentic experience. They will start by explaining their specials of the day by using a blackboard with the options scribbled on it. We started with their pumpkin cream soup of the day. It was lighter and had a good flavor but is different from the hearty pumpkin soups one might expect. Next we had their sauteed calamari (10.90) in teriyaki sauce. While this dish featured the famous fresh Spanish seafood, the Asian twist in using teriyaki sauce made this dish fall flat with a mixture of flavor that paradoxically drowned the seafood. We also had the Spaghetti with Fresh Crab (21.90) which was the best dish of the night. The noodles rested inside the cracked open crab with mussels adorning the plate. The black pig "presa iberica" (16.90) was fine but I would stick to seafood menu items. Desserts were pretty good though we preferred the tiramisu to the banoffee. Both come in mason jars and follow in the vein of Ca'n Panxo being a more hip and modern style of Spanish fare. As far as restaurants on the island go, this is definitely one of the better places for a touch of authentic cuisine with a mix of modern flavors. They even had a guitar player serenading us during dinner.
