    Excellent cuisine, super service! If you would like high quality food and nice impressions, this is your place. Seafood and fish are very delicious. Prices are rather high, but they worth it! Menu in 5 languages and Russian menu with pictures. I love this place and will come back there next time!:)

    Nice dinner while in town for work. Very few restaurants open at this time of the year so I came here because my taxi driver suggested it was the freshest fish in town. The ambience was relaxed, the service was very attentive and the food was very tasty. I had the house mussels, followed by the gilt-head bream or Dorada al Horno in Spanish. I had the crêpes for dessert.

    Lobster paella yummy. Service was great, food was delicious. Location is perfect. Highly recommend!

The first evening we ordered the sea bass, cooked mallorcan style. The menu said it was for two people, but the dish would easily be enough for three persons. Non the least it was amazing! Second day we ordered paella. For me, this was the first time I eat paella in Spain (have tried it once in Norway, which hardly counts..) and in my opinion it was truly incredible here at the bodega! The waiter recommended a local red wine, Macia Batle from 2010 and it suited perfectly to the paella. The third and last day we ordered tapas. Potatoes with some sort of sauce on, meatballs, garlic shrimps, serrano ham, chorizos and chicken croquettes. If I would remove one dish it would be the chicken. It was okay, but that's all. The serrano ham was heavenly! They have a lot of them air drying in the ceiling in the restaurant and the rest of the interior makes the visit feel like you truly are in Spain, and not in a heavy trafficked tourist village. We got a local red vine to the tapas as well, but I can't remember the name of it. But it was spot on to the tapas, as the wine we got to the paella were. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The food and service is first class. It costs a bit more than the restaurants down on the beach, but you really get true value for the money!

Both were delicious. The entrees are made to order with fresh ingredients. We had the homemade cannelloni ( the restaurant's signature dish) and the grilled salmon. Again, both were delicious. Fernando, the restaurant's owner is the chef--and what a chef he is! Gal, Fernando's daughter, was our server. She could not have been any sweeter or more accommodating. He fell asleep in an instant. I decided to head up to Old Alcudia town and have a look at the surroundings, castle wall etc and get away from the tourist environment for a while. When walking along the road I noticed a building that looked almost like a small farm beyond the closed gate. Closest to the road was a gate between to small concrete walls that read "Restaurant Sa Romana" on each side. On one of the sides an o was missing and I found it all a bit charming. From what I could see from the road, the house was surrounded by a lot of trees and bushes in what appeared to be a well taken care of garden. However, that day I just walked on by and took in the culture of Alcudia town. Two days later, two in our travel company (my wife's brother and his fiancé) wanted to go out with only us for dinner as they were only staying for one week and were going home they day after. For some reason this place popped back into my mind and I had the reception call them up to see if they had a table available. Surely they did, and we all took a beautiful long walk in the slowly setting Mediterranean sun all the while enjoying smiles, laughter and great friendship. Walking in through the gate I was immediately struck with how beautiful the whole place was. The cobblestones, water fountains, bushes, trees, Everything just a picture perfect frame for the sun-bleached yellow-plastered house that felt more like someone's home than actually a restaurant. We walked in, only to be immediately strucked by the glass floor revealing what I believe to be old decorations and interior of the house. We were almost directly greeted and shown to our table out on the patio behind the house, and this just impressed me further. Somber table decorations, perfect lighting, but the largest outdoor play area for kids I've ever seen at a restaurant! They had tunnels to crawl through, a cableway, swings and much more. Even a neighboring inclosure where they had small horses. For a family with kids, this was a wonderful surprise. Playtime with kids aside, the whole place had a great and relaxing atmosphere. Calm, quiet, no stress, no yelling or stressful people walking by, it was truly an evening of taking our time. We had a couple of drinks to start with, I had a wonderful sangria with my wife that brought me nothing but smiles. We all chose the three course a la carte menu but with slightly different dishes and wine-pairing. Before our entree dish came out they first served a total of two chef aperitifs. First one with bread, local olive oil and three different salts (olive, chili, and sea). Perfect complement to my sangria! The second aperitif was quite impressive: Fried shrimp in potato tuile with a sweet and sour sauce underneath, a fried "egg" of sorts, and a baked fig filled with goats cheese. Each part of the second aperitif was like an amuse-bouche, a sweet mouthful that only wets the appetite! My first dish was fried scallops with smoked cauliflower purée, and I may be a sucker for everything scallop, but this was astonishingly good. My wife had a dish of low-temperatured baked egg served with foie gras and cider sauce and man she was impressed. Her brother and fiancée had a beetroot salad that they both enjoyed. For main my wife had the beef fillet grilled medium (to perfection) with baked apples, while I settled for sea-bream with pumpkin- and mandarin purée (what a mind-blowing combination of flavors!) together with hollandaise sauce and baby vegetables. My wife's brother and his fiancée had for main "fish in a bag". That was a fish filet (can't remember which one) cooked in a bag with an assortment of vegetables, broth and other ingredients. They loved it. For dessert all of us had the exact same thing; chocolate fondant with passion fruit center, berries, yoghurt ice-cream, sugar twirl and crumble. It was food heaven. Did it end there? No. We also got a small extra dessert of lemon sorbet with nut- and coffee-chocolate truffles. Or as I so eloquently put it when we walked home; "death by dessert". I was so full, so happy, and so genuinely pleased that we had visited what was undoubtedly the best restaurant of my entire two weeks in Alcudia and Mallorca. If I ever go back again, this is the place to dine at. Both for the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the environment, but most definitely the food. I loved it. We all loved it. That night was exactly what a great evening at a restaurant should be, from start to finish. Four, with emphasis, really strong stars!

    For our trip to Mallorca and Alcudia I had received the rather pleasant task of choosing the…read morerestaurant to celebrate my mother-in-law's 60th birthday, partially (or entirely, depending on who you're asking) because of my keen interest in food. While searching through the vast landscape of restaurants before even leaving our home country, this restaurant had made quite a few headlines with people, and in short I wasn't in any way disappointed. But that's the short version, let's do the long one. First of all, this is a really small restaurant with only a couple of tables on the patio outside and the same goes for the indoor seating area. It is located a bit away from the classical tourist streaks and streets (thank you for that), so instead of the constant chattering, sales-people and general tourist noise you are instead left with a soothing calm place near the beach overlooking the ocean and mountains as a backdrop over soothing warm evening winds. The restaurant itself is white in its decor with subtle art on the walls, more reminiscent of an upscale bistro than anything else, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and all through professional (thank you Roberto!) while also clearly showing a passion for their work and craft. I just love it when that genuine feeling come across. As I had made a reservation at this place a couple of weeks in advance, they had arranged for a long table inside that could seat all 18 of us (I mean really, I don't even want to think of the pressure in a kitchen serving an 18-top table!). For food I started out with prawns in a garlic broth that came served in a small pot and the flavors that hit my nose when I lift the lid had all my senses applauding. Garlic, herbs, seafood, chili, you name it. It was so good. The prawns were just cooked through; sweet, moist, and succulent. For main course I had a beef dish and the meat was perfectly cooked medium rare, just the way I like it. Had a red wine to both my appetizer and main, and while I don't remember which one I can assure you that the serving staff are equally good at wine pairing with their food. Excellent suggestion that highlighted both the prawns and the beef. For dessert I can obviously never stay away from chocolate, and this evening was no exception. A chocolate cake that made my evening borderline perfect. So this place is hands down one of the best places to eat at in Porto de Alcudia. Why? Well apart from great food they have more than reasonable prices, I'm inclined to say cheaper than expected when talking quality and service, utterly friendly and patient staff, a beautiful and clean restaurant, and a location that is a welcoming piece and quiet. Here you just don't come for the food, you come for the whole package and experience. Thank you, you made both me, the rest of our company, and my mother-in-law's birthday an evening to remember. As a final note, after we had left we noticed our youngest son's cap was missing, so I went back and of course they had taken care of it and the waitress started talking about her sisters son who had the same name as mine (it was on the cap). That kind of personality in staff I can only applaud and admire. Thus, rating this restaurant proved to be more difficult than normal. Cause in my book, 3 stars are a great place to dine at. 4 stars are extraordinary while the select few with 5 stars are out of this world mind-boggling. So where to put this place? Food wise it's without a doubt three strong and shiny stars. But what actually sets this place apart from many of its Mediterranean peers is the excellent staff, that's a definitive four! So one 3 and one 4 results in 3.5, but in this case it just has to be rounded up.
