We went for some lunch today at downtown Disney. The people where we ate gave us validation. Napoleon Pizza it was good. When leaving I stop at the parking lot attendant and she was extremely rude. She say $17 I was like we just came here to eat. By the way lunch $20.47 parking $17 WOW. She was so RUDE not sure her name but I'm sure in reading reviews it's the one girl that starts with a C. She said show me the receipt I said ok I pulled up my bank app to show her, she would accept it. Obviously management doesn't address this. We won't be coming back to eat there. She was in the booth all the way to the right as your leaving. read more

To make a extremely long story short, we lost our parking ticket, upon exiting we drove up to the 2nd exit booth from the far right. There was a girl who was extremely rude to my wife. We requested a manager to approve our ticket to exit for $10 as we didn't want to pay $65 for a lost ticket and we dined at din tai fung, as we waited for over 30 minutes, our daughter had to use the restroom so my wife asked the girl how much longer it would be and she proceeded to be rude and just say "they are coming" my wife asked how long, she replied "idk, however long they take" my wife replied well I can't wait much longer my daughter has to use the restroom, at which the girl replied "when then she shouldn't have lost the ticket" My daughter is 3 years old, I am so upset that a Disneyland worker would insult our daughter and my wife in this manner. This type of behavior is disgusting. I knew right when we pulled up to the window and seen this girls face that we were not going to have a good time but I would have never thought she would just blantly insult my wife and daughter. I write this message so the appropriate repimandation can be done because even if customers of Disneyland have an issue like this, workers should try and find a resolution, not insult and get into a back and forth arguing match. I have never seen somebody act so mean over a parking ticket I swear, this is not how Disneyland workers should conduct themselves Also to note and to make matters way worse there was other attendants there laughing at us, such as a older man with glasses, and another girl to the far right end of where we were at, she would smirk and smile at us while we were visibly upset. We ended up paying $35 to exit once we talked to the manager named Courtney who threatened to call the police on us if we didnt pay, this lady was also extremely rude. We asked her for the first girls name and she refused to give it to us, she said she has hundreds of workers and said she didn't know who we were talking about. I KNOW RIGHT. Thought I was done? Nope. Security also arrived for some reason, it was a man with shades, he walked up to my wife and stared at her through our window, she asked if she could help him, he said no, she then replied okay why are you standing her staring at me, he then replied, I just wanted to get your side of the story, my wife replied why are you the manager, he replied no I am in a different department but mine is coming, she then replied "what does that mean" then he just walked away while staring at us. This encounter was just bizarre and confusing, it was almost as if he was trying to intimidate us but just looked foolish in our opinion. but the main reason for this complaint is due to how the first girl treated us, she was out of line. I didn't catch her name but she was a small petite latina girl who looked very sad and tired, this is honestly just the best description I can give so you can narrow this down and let us know what the next steps are. This whole ordeal was just extremely unprofessional and insane to be honest, everybody was rude to us. I've never seen something like this before in my life. read more

Recommend to parke here if you are visiting downtown Disney. If you buy something $20 and over you can ask them to vouch for your parking ticket and you will only be paying $10 for the parking for about 5 hours. read more

Worst experience on July 26 2025. Got in car 10pm. Parking lot was at stand still. Figure they would open gates to let people out since we are stuck in our car barely moving. People were going wrong way and cutting. People exiting far right lane on other side of fence. Took 1 hr to get out and they still charge us. They said everyone was leaving at the same time but no we been here before even week prior and it was not this bad. Stay away from this area. Many more places to go for dinner. read more

11-26-21 Shhh... this is the best meaning closest parking for Downtown Disney. You proceed to the security checkpoint then you're free to shop, eat, people watch or jive to the live entertainment. Our go tos are Ralph Brennan's for sit down meals then find cool Disney attire or items for omiyage at the big store. After you're done, walk back to your vehicle at the Simba Parking lot. Sometimes like last nite they had cones blocking where you needed to follow the arrow for accessible parking. On a busy Friday evening the entry or exit lines hit up a traffic jam but you can be happy that your walk was shorter back to your car then walking all the way to the top to meet an Uber driver. read more

Came here to park 8 weeks ago when we went to Downtown Disney District. Signage on Disneyland Drive was good, since the signs indicated where to turn off near Paradise Pier Hotel in order to get to Simba Parking lot. When we went, we had to stop at one of the gates/arms that opened up after pushing the button for a ticket and taking the parking ticket. After that, guests were on their own to figure out where to park, since there weren't any cast members to direct guests where to go. There were directional arrows painted on the asphalt, but that didn't stop people from driving against the arrows. Nevertheless, since I'm a former Disneyland Resort cast member, I knew where to go, but it was frustrating seeing a car driving against the arrow speeding directly at me. Parking was easy to find, but Simba Parking lot is a 5 to 10 minute walk to get to Downtown Disney, longer if the guest is physically handicapped, and the clock continues to tick during the walk time (remember parking is charged before you leave, depending on how long you stay, or how long it takes you to walk). Parking spaces are wide to accommodate bigger vehicles nicely. While in Downtown Disney District, guests can get parking validation by spending a minimum of $20. This allows the guest to get some free hours, but you'll have to ask the business for validation. Even with validation, guests will have to pay at least $10 for parking. Before returning to Simba Parking Lot, there are some kiosks on the sidewalk at the edge of the parking lot where guests can pay for parking. Plan ahead for this step because sometimes the lines for the kiosks are long, or kiosks are not functioning properly. You can then take your ticket and insert it into the machine, allowing you to exit Simba Parking lot. read more

Pre covid this was the cast member parking lot, but is currently is the Downtown Disney (DTD) District visitor/guest parking lot as well. The Google Maps 'Simba Cast Member Lot' location marker is NOT where guests/visitors enter; the actual entrance is located off Disneyland Drive. If you enter in the Cast Member Lot entrance due to Google Maps like we did, tell the parking attendant, and they will tell you how to exit the lot and enter off Disneyland Dr so you can grab a ticket, ('lost' tickets are $66!). Located off Disneyland drive this lot was the employee lot pre covid. Cost for parking is $10.00 upon entering no free parking even if you have the top Annual pass. There are lot of spaces it is a pretty big lot. Easy to get in and out of as well. The parking slots are much wider compared to Toy Story. In the perspective of the pandemic: Simba is the parking lot located in the other side of the hotels. When I went to Downtown Disney in the beginning of November, I went an hour early thinking I needed to beat the rush. Be forewarned that the parking lot doesn't open until 30 minutes before the are opens. Because of that, I had to find a spot to kill time before driving back. The parking lot is convenient, just as far of a walk as if you parked at Mickey & Friends parking lot. Easy to park and easy to exit. I used to like this parking lot before but then they turned it into an employee lot. It's open for guests again and they've improved it! Before, all lanes would go down the same direction and would all feed out towards a single lane on the very left. If you happened to go down a lane with no open spots, you'd have to loop all the way back again to try your luck once more. Now, the lanes alternate direction so if your lane has no parking, you can quickly just hop into the next lane once you reach the end of your current lane. read more

Very spacious parking lot but getting in was a little bit confusing. There's only one way to get in - Disneyland Drive coming from the 5 South exit. While yes you can go simply follow the signs...if you're not on the right hand side when it comes to entering the parking lot then you would have missed the entrance! When that happens you've got do a big detour and loop back into Disneyland Drive. The security has blocked off a lot of places where you could do U turn. But hey it's just a hiccup so no stress..just something to take note about. Note that parking's free until 11/19 where there's a flat fee of $10. read more

Covid edition We finally got to Disneyland well Downtown Disney to celebrate our son birthday. I have to say from hearing all the previous bad social group reviews I was hesitant. We had reservations which I heard was the key to the parking entrance, however on a Friday night at 6:30 the parking lot was readily accessible to us, we walked straight through the security and was on time for our dinner reservations. i remember parking here way back when ...before it was the employee lot. it is so incredibly close to the park! now during COVID downtown disney trips...this is the lot to park at. $10 for the day. If DD reaches capacity they will stop entrance to lot (unless you show proof of dining reservation). Been here twice now for a DD visit / lunch/shopping. the line can take a long time to enter the lot... -have your money ready to speed up that line! -remember the nice people who are collecting your parking fee are not the info. booth. park first and there are ample cast members available to answer your questions. read more

Great parking place. Bus quick there and back and always quick exit. Disney has the parking figured out. Love it.

It took our family over an hour to exit due to not being able to exit safely and in an organized fashion. No one would help the multi lane line. One self important clown exited the line and tried to ram our car because we would not let him cut in front of us. My husband had to jump out of the car to stop him. Staff was condescending and rude when we asked for a solution for all guests to exit in a timely manner. The female dark haired cast member in glasses was lucky we could not read her name badge. She deserves to be fired. Rude, condescending and not helpful. Then after an hour the line started moving and they let hundreds of cars exit without paying including us. We were directed to park at the Simba Parking lot today, our first time there, after they shut down the line to get into the Mickey Mouse lot. The Simba lot is huge; outdoors, and there is no trolley or shuttle to drive you to the Disneyland entrance. We had to walk from our car, and into Downtown Disney and then to the theme park entrance. It's quick and uncomplicated because you just do the walking and get thru security check and you're in. The other parking lots require you to hop on a vehicle to get into the theme parks, so this one is great if all you care about walking a short distance! I don't think this lot is open all the time though. read more

Confusing directions, accidentally entered through wrong entrance, never told by security to exit and enter through another entrance. Went immediately to parking lot attendant and was told the only way to get a ticket was to go through a different entrance, and to just save my receipts from downtown Disney to give when I exit for validation. When I tried to leave I was told that I was lying about the instructions I was given, they never accept receipts, and I could either pay an extra $56 dollars or I would be forced to stay until 1am when they close the gates. read more

We went November 19th and had no trouble getting a park. You have to enter from the South or make a u turn at the old Downtown Disney parking. We knew we weren't going to get into Buena Vista street but we had already made reservations for dinner before arriving. Flat fee of $10 to park. Park personnel were so friendly, it was just nice to be able to walk around Disney and have a nice meal. We made sure to leave extra time so we weren't too stressed. We left a little early so we could get out without much trouble. This doesn't apply anymore since outdoor dining is closed but hopefully they will open that again soon. read more

We paid $10 to park the car. The spot we choose was very close to the Downtown Disney area. It was a good walk for my mom because the needs to have close parking. The staff was friendly when we got the ticket from them. Simba's parking lot was clean. When we go back I would park at this lot again. We came on Thanksgiving day and it was not to busy. read more

5 star for location and ease of access. 1 star for the seemingly random closures. We used to park in Disney's parking structure and we'd take the tram in. One day we were directed to park in Simba lot by the Anaheim PD. No idea why because the main Disney parking lot was near empty, but we complied and ended up in Simba. It was a longer walk through the hotel parking lots and then on to the very end of the Downtown Disney strip than when parking in the Disneyland structure, but it was nice. The bonus was that we ended up taking the monorail from there and love how it dumped us into the park. In future visits this parking lot was closed at random. We have no way of knowing when it's closed or why, they just magically close lots at random. Do not count on this lot ever being available, park at your first available lot. BEWARE DOWNTOWN DISNEY PARKING & THEIR VALIDATIONS AS IT'S VERY LIKELY YOU WILL RECEIVE THE WRONG VALIDATION WHILE SHOPPING/DINING AT DOWNTOWN DISNEY, AND THEN YOU'LL BE FORCED TO PAY A MUCH HIGHER PARKING FEE UPON LEAVING THE LOT. TRYING TO RECEIVE A REFUND OF THE IMPROPERLY CHARGED FEE IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE AND TAKES MONTHS.   This is my experience: I dined at Uva and spent $75 dollars to receive a 6hr validation; our server incorrectly gave us a 4hr validation. There is no way to tell when looking at your parking ticket which validation you received. Upon leaving I was expecting to pay $10 - the amount I budgeted for - but the parking attendant rang me up for $24 and told me my validation was for only 4hrs. I told her it was a mistake since I dined at a sit down restaurant for a 6hr validation. She said there was nothing she could do and my options were (1) return to Downtown Disney to find the server and have him correct the error (the line to exit the parking lot was 6 cars deep so it wasn't physically possible to reverse back and return to the lot; or (2) pay the incorrect rate and call customer service to refund me the overcharge. I went with the latter option and asked what number to call - the parking attendant gave me the number for the Anaheim Police Dept - obviously wrong. I found the correct number myself and called it; it leads to an automated message telling you to email their customer service team. I emailed the team and waited a few days for a response: I was asked to send a picture of my receipt from Uva and from the parking lot. I responded that I didn't have the receipt but could tell her the approx amount as well as detailed descriptions of our server, the host, and exactly what we ordered. This wasnt good enough for Disney's customer service. They instead told me that "as a one time only exception and goodwill gesture" they could send me a gift card for the amount they improperly charged me. I'm not sure if the higher ups or whoever is coming up with these customer service responses/standards at Disney understand what a monthly budget is? Whoever it is - they need to realize that a lot of people who visit Disney parks are not 1% and live/die by their budgets, and that money has value. I personally drill my budget down to the dollar so being overcharged for parking, paying in USD and then being offered a Disney gift card as a "one time only exception and act of goodwill" is mind blowingly infuriating. I asked for our conversation to be escalated to management. This was denied and instead the cusomter service rep offered to call me. At the same time, I reached out to Uva's management to track down a copy of the receipt, which took them a few days to find. I finally sent that copy to Disney's customer service and they said they would be sending it to their processing team to review. No mention of an actual refund, just a review. I've waited now 8 business days and have been told they cannot provide me with a ballpark date that I'll be refunded. Normal businesses will advise 3-5 business days. For some reason, Disney, which has been in operation for decades, cannot manage the 3-5 business day refund turn around, and cannot even give me a ballpark. I have no idea if my stolen money will be returned in days, weeks or months. read more

This is close walking distance to downtown Disney, however, we were only there for less than 3 hours last night and we were charged $42. We didn't see the sign going in how much it was, but I assumed it would not be MORE than the $25 that's charged at the Disney park parking lots. SO RIDICULOUS. I arrived at 10:30 to Disney downtown ( don't follow GPS google while it guide to employee entrance so I had make a turn around block to get the entrance to parking lot) and it made 3 rounds walking in line to go to temperature body check. The Simba parking lot is located at the southwest corner of the Disneyland parks. From what I've seen, the lot is split between employee/volunteer parking and Downtown Disney parking. When I've volunteered for one of the Disneyland races, I've been instructed to park in the employee lot with the entrance from Katella Ave. Be careful where you park as some parking spots have very specific designations. If both the regular Downtown Disney parking lot and the Lilo parking lot have been filled up, most likely you will be directed here. The entrance for non-employee parking is from off of Disneyland Dr. It is an uncovered lot and you will need to walk to your destination as there are no trams running to and from this lot. read more

Simba Parking lot is the best one to park at if you only want to be in downtown Disney since the entrance is closest to it. Or if you don't mind the walk to the entrances of the parks and avoid taking the tram (me) then this is the lot to be in! However, Everytime I want to park here it's ALWAYS CLOSED only once in my life ( and I'm an annual signature pass holder so you know I'm at Disneyland or DCA many times a month) has it been opened. Everytime I always give this lot a shot, it's closed and the nearest parking area is the Mickey and friends parking structure, I don't mind it but it takes less time to walk through downtown Disney to the parks from the Simba Lot than it is to go through the entire structure and security then the trams then the rest of the walk to the park entrances.. someone PLEASE make the Simba Parking lot open more often! read more

I have never parked in the Simba parking lot until my most recent trip and I would totally prefer parking there from now on. It's located just a stones throw from the Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel and the end of Downtown Disney. It's convenient if you are going to those hotels or going to Downtown Disney, it's a nice little walk that isn't overly busy and crowded with people. The parking here is a lot easier and stress free than parking at Mickey and Friends or the Toy Story parking lot. I will add it is quite a walk to get to Disneyland or DCA so if you don't want to walk then this may not be the best parking lot for you and I believe it's only open during extremely busy days. It was perfect for me since I anticipated taking the monorail from DTD into Disneyland. From what I have hear this is essentially an employee parking lot so I wouldn't come expecting to park here, it just so happened I was going to the parks on a very busy President's Day and was redirected from Toy Story lot here but it worked out better for me. I hope they will use this lot a little more often for guest parking. read more

Great place to park for either downtown disney or the theme parks! Because you can just walk through downtown disney at your own leisurely pace, there is no rush to get from one end to the other. I park here any chance I get. The best thing is when coming back from downtown or the theme parks, you don't have to rely on a bus or a slow tram, you just walk yourself back. You are your best transportation! But don't forget your parking ticket! They do check for that at the end so you don't have to end up paying twice if you paid that morning! read more
