I went to Silvio's today in their new location ( about 2 years probably!) and was pleasantly greeted. Elena recognized me and said hello and Michael looked at the handbag I'd brought in for repair. Yes, it can be fixed. He told me how much and the wait time - about 6 weeks. No problem as I know quality work they do. This is a designer bag and I trust Silvio's to do a great job. Last June, my daughter received the wedding shoes she ordered off Etsy and the toes were damaged. They are velvet and it appeared the toes had been crushed somehow. The shipper wouldn't replace them, but did refund her money. She was heartbroken. She really loved the shoes. Since her wedding wasn't until December, I started an internet search for remedies when I remembered Silvio's. I called first and they said bring them in. They felt they couldn't guarantee they would be perfect, but agreed to try. I had nothing to lose and gave the go ahead. A few days later, I got the call they were done. I picked them up. It was amazing! The shoes looked beautiful! Silvio's worked some sort of magic and restored her shoes! They were very fair with the repair cost as well. This review may be a month or two overdue but I can not stop thinking about how much I enjoyed my experience. Silvio's Shoe Repair is probably one of the greatest local business I have been to in the United States. It is family run and their passion and dedication to making their customers happy shines through like a nice South West Florida afternoon. The service is so good, it almost makes me want to ruin shoes to have an excuse to go see these guys. I came in a week before New Years needing my shoes rejuvenated before I hit the mean streets of Miami. They let me know there was a month-long wait and that the water stains and scuffing were probably impossible to fix. However, impossible does not exist for Silvio! After paying a reasonable fee for a rush order, I came back expecting them to be wearable but nothing out of this world. I can not believe I underestimated them! These shoes looked brand spanking new! I offered to give them a $10 tip and they kept telling me they were ok and just happy to help. It literally took me 5 minutes to convince them to take the tip. I do not care where you are in South West Florida, nay anywhere in Florida. If you care about your shoes and want quality work done at a criminally fair price, GO TO SILVIO'S!!!!!!! read more

Due to labor issues typical repair time at Silvio's is very long. I wear a very one of a kind shoe and can't get around without it and they immediately realized it. Instead of weeks or months they promised it within a week and it ended up being less than two days. I know I paid a modest premium but I really appreciate the quick turnaround. read more

RUINED MY LOUBOUTINS! I took my suede Louboutin heels in to get cleaned because there was a small stain on the suede. While there the person who helped me asked if I wanted JUST THE TIP of the Louboutins painted because there was a little tiny damage that NO ONE COULD SEE on the shiny gold part. I said sure and they painted the ENTIRE TIP without my permission nor consent and now they're ruined forever and the paint they used is rusting and looks worse and worse as time goes by. I have been so upset that I've never gone back and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. The people here DO NOT LISTEN TO YOU. These were my first pair of Louboutins that I saved for so long to get and now they're hideous thanks to Silvio's. Wonderful family run business with very knowledgeable people who know their craft. The quality and workmanship speak for themselves. I had brought in my husband's leather belt with a custom-made sterling silver buckle where the prong (the crosspiece going horizontally across the buckle frame) had broken off. Since this was a one of a kind custom piece, my anxiety of its outcome was high. The prong was returned to its proper place, however, upon pick up of this item I was informed that the buckle had broken. It was no fault of Silvio's by the way, as it was explained that it was brittle. They soldered it and said to please be careful when using the belt. Kudos to Silvio's for their honesty and integrity! The old world's craftsmanship is amazing. We live in Cape Coral and would trust no other shop than Silvio's. Highly recommend! read more

These people do not even deserve one star. I dropped off a sherling coat to have a button sewn back on and I was told that it would be ready on 11-16. This date was also written by Silvio (the owner) on the claim ticket I was given. I returned on 11-18 (2 days after the date they said it would be done). I was told that it was not ready and that I could come back or wait. I expressed my surprise that the coat was not ready two days after I was told that it would be. The employees response was, "we are only human". I told them I would wait for the coat. I was told it would be about five minutes. Fifteen minutes later and I finally was able to leave with the coat. While I was waiting for the coat Silvio (the owner) came out and I addressed the situation with him and not once did anyone apologize. On the contrary, throughout the time I waited for the coat I was subjected to scorn by the employees and Silvio for expecting the coat to be done when they and their claim ticket said it would be. I want to give you 10 stars !! I was in a car accident over 2 years ago and it has changed my quality of life drastically.
