I had such a wonderful time at Silverworks Studio, doing the introductory jewelry making class. I got to make a beautiful ring with the help of our lovely instructor and had fun hanging out with the other women in the group. I love that Silverworks is a woman-run business and I feel good about supporting them. I will definitely return for the bezel making class. Well done, ladies! read more

I have a challenging and ambitious set of custom cast interlocking jewelry pieces that the people at Silverwork, including Amy the owner, generously helped me understand better. They let me use their equipment and helped me understand the opportunities and technical challenges with my designs. They clearly are knowledgeable and passionate about helping people work on jewelry and I very highly recommend them. read more

Amy and Kelly have created a wonderful creator space and are fantastic teachers. I came for a lesson with my teen, and we came in arguing about something silly; by the end, we left with two gorgeous rings arm-in-arm, smiling all the way to the car. Apparently, they also have deals for us crafty types. For $200, you can come in 5-6 times and use their supplies. read more

I went Once with my mom, and once with my mom and sister. I am 10, and my sister is 6, and we both had so much fun, even though we were on the younger side. I got to learn how to solder, make cute charms, and make a beautiful ring and charm bracelet. this is great for making Christmas presents or Birthday presents. Amy is so nice, along with everyone who works there. You can also go there for your birthday, and again, it's just so fun.it's so easy, and I highly recommend going there and trying it even if you have never made jewelry. -Sonia read more

My trip to Silverwork Studios was an exceptionally fun, creative experience that left me with a beautiful gift. As someone with zero jewelry-making experience, I was amazed at how easy and enjoyable they made the process. The instructors were incredibly talented and patient. They walked me through every step of the process to ensure that my jewelry pieces turned out beautifully. In about 2 hours I made a necklace and earrings for my wife. The couple across from me were making rings for each other. I loved how hands-on the experience was--you're not just watching someone else work; you're crafting your own unique piece of silver jewelry. And the best part? Even as a complete beginner, I ended up with a gift that I'm truly proud to have made. The studio itself is inviting and well-equipped, and they've thought of everything to make the experience fun and stress-free. Silverwork Studios is a gem... sorry, pun intended. But seriously, I can't wait to come back and make something else! Five stars all the way! Highly recommend. Affordable and fun! read more

I've been three times, making three stacking rings and three stacking bracelets, each with a gemstone. They turned out gorgeous. It was really fun to get to create pieces myself. The staff is friendly and helpful. It cost more than I'd have paid for the jewelry alone, but the ability to create something unique and special and to learn about the process was worth it to me. The new location in Sausalito is great -- a 15-minute walk from the ferry. A fun solo or friend activity. read more

We scheduled a group class for our work team and it was so much fun! Making the booking was easy as Amy was extremely responsive and got back to me right away. During the class, our instructors Amy and Kiara were very attentive and helpful and we had nothing but positive feedback from everyone. We would definitely recommend this to others as a fun birthday party, corporate event, girls day, etc. There are endless opportunities of what you can create so you can do it as many times as you want! read more

Brought my boyfriend here for the ring making workshop for his birthday (largely more for my own enjoyment, I'll admit) and we both had the absolute best time!! There was a big selection of gold and silver bands, along with all kinds of rock insets, that we got to choose from. Amy, our instructor, was so incredibly patient and kind, walking us through each step and taking extra care to make sure our creations were as perfect as possible. She also helped us personalize the pieces by letting us choose stamps to add to the inside of the rings. This was such a unique and hands on experience, so worth it for the value, especially considering we each got to take home a gorgeous and meaningful piece of jewelry. read more

I brought my team to Silverwork Studios for a team-building afternoon of creative, "maker" time. From the initial call to the execution of the event, Amy and Kelly provided a seamless and high-quality experience. Everyone enjoyed the freedom to create something that was uniquely theirs, and although we were working on solo projects, the camaraderie of watching your colleagues create something and showing off your work was super fun and relationship-deepening. Would highly recommend this as a team experience! read more

Fabulous experience silversmithing. Amy guided me as a first timer. She was patient as I got stuck on step one, choosing what I wanted to make. So come early before your studio time, though I do think the time is a little short if there are others. After finally choosing stones and materials, I learned how to solder, melt silver scraps and created a stamped metal disc that I am proud of. Being from a creative industry, I appreciate the hand crafted touches that are sprinkled throughout the space. It demonstrates the love, effort and creativity put in to the business. The store is brightly lit and set up as an artisan studio. The simple fixtures and equipment are just right for the craftwork. They had subtle personalization on the simple furniture such as branding on the basic work surfaces and bamboo plates and decorations. I also like that this is a woman owned business! read more

Had a birthday party here for my 15 year old, her sister, and 4 friends. They had a blast! They each made a beautiful charm bracelet, ring, and charm, and a few bought more jewelry as well. Amy gives outstanding customer service and communication and is a fantastic teacher! We used the garden outside after the jewelry making for pizza, cider and cake and the setting was super cute. The most amazing place with everything you need to create unique jewelry. Amy was a wonderful teacher and so helpful from start to finish!

I had several pieces that just never fit right, always fell off and had some weird design issues that made them twist and rotate, so I never wore them. Over the years I have take them to high end jewelers and paid for no results. I figured the permanent jewelry approach ( just welding them on and then letting them rot off) would be better than nothing, so found and went to Silverwork and met Amy who was creative in her hands-on approach and very very patient. In 1 hour she salvaged 5 pieces that were destined for the permanent junk drawer. While there, a delightful crew of creative middle and high-schoolers collaborated and worked together and made the whole environment a delight. So you get product, insight, skills ( if you are work-shopping there), AND a chance to have faith in the youngsters restored. A win win win, I'd say! read more

loved getting permanent jewelry bracelets with my boyfriend! we added cute charms and could customize everything

I went here earlier in the year with my friend for her birthday and had a lot of fun, however, it was quite expensive. Once you select your pieces and pay for the class, it is easily over $100. (I made one pair of earrings) I enjoyed it a lot, but just know it is $$$. read more

We chose to celebrate my 40th birthday at Silverwork Studio. There were 11 of us attending. Everyone had a wonderful experience and came home with a personal piece of jewelry. As a plus size woman, it can be very hard to find rings and bracelets that fit me, so it was wonderful to be able to custom size my pieces. Kelly and her staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this experience, especially for anyone celebrating a milestone that they want to commemorate. read more

I was overjoyed to find this little shop. I had wanted to learn basic silver soldering for a long time but the College of Marin class is too time consuming and the only other place that used to come up on the internet was a shop in the East bay ( now closed). So when I happened re-search the web a week ago for " silversmith class in marin" I was so happy to see a new option. I booked a 3 hour bezel setting class for $150 and brought and assortment of small gems and shells I had gathered. I learned that details about what stones will work and what won't. The stone needs to have a flat back, and be roughly a certain height (I forget that number). Of my collection I chose a square freshwater baroque style pearl and then as a second project a pink tourmaline I had found rock hounding. I would say that if you are going to bring you own stones bring an assortment that have very flat backs and edges that are similar height. Don't be attached to one stone (I had some pretty abalone pieces that were no- goes). Amy, the owner is so helpful and clearly experienced at designing rings and teaching. The studio has everything with good lighting and individual work stations at big tables, tons of parking in Northgate mall. I learned so much and and would recommend this class to anyone whose been wanting to get their feet wet in this process. They also offer continuing programs after a lesson so you can use the space in their artisan program if you are so inspired! read more

Wonderful place to bring kids, and adults, too! Sometimes it seems there are not enough fun and educational things to do when we're with our grandchildren, and this was perfect. We gifted our granddaughter a session at Silverwork Studios, and she made the most beautiful charm necklace. In her words, this was the "best gift ever," and she wants to come back for summer jewelry-making camp. Amy, the proprietor and teacher, was lovely, patient, and knowledgeable. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable, the studio is cozy and has everything you need, nice selection of stones to choose from and silver or gold, filled metals to use. I felt that the pricing was very fair. The atmosphere and environment was relaxed and fun. Whether you are a beginner or you have experience in jewelry making there's something there for everyone .
