Plenty of room for my UTV!

The very best customer service! I told them that I had my daughter with me who had never been to the mountains, and I wanted her to experience the beauty Silverton had to offer. They gave me a spot at the very end where we were able to see moose in the morning and truly get the full mountain experience. They were always eager to help and answer any questions. The facilities were clean and the grounds were kept very neat. Absolutely impressed!

I seldom give five-star reviews but this place is extremely well kept. The location is perfect…read moreright before entering Silverton, in a valley surrounded by sheer beauty and nature and also right next to the Animas River and the Durango Silverton train rails. Everywhere is well graveled and level and I didn't even have to level the trailer! That's something I seldom experience anywhere even at RV parks unless they have concrete slabs which I don't like. This place is not an expensive but not too much more than other RV parks and this is an absolutely beautiful location, especially at this time of year. The facilities include very and I mean very clean bathrooms and showers and an inexpensive laundry along with inexpensive ice. No fire pits here but you can do rustic or tent camping or full hookups. I seldom pay but I was in the mountains for 3 days and my power ran out! That being said, if you need a good RV park with really good facilities and nice people, this is definitely a place to consider.

I stayed on the new RV park side of the property so I cannot comment on rooms. The park was clean,…read morethe restroom building was cleaned to a high standard every day. I did not use the Wi-Fi. The property is conveniently located across the street from the grocery, a few doors down from the hardware store, and a five minute walk to the center of town. The new RV park section is all gravel. Not my favorite, but in an arid climate, perfectly reasonable. A camping carpet helped to make the situation much better. There are two large fields on either side of the new section where you can exercise your pets. You're also close to the river if you want to go wading, or take your dog for a swim. The Durango train runs by the campground, and reverses in the siding next-door. Never got tired of seeing the trains. If you are there for the Fourth of July, the Silverton fireworks are in your living room! I had no issues while I was staying here. The only suggestions I would have would be to offer online booking rather than having to connect via a phone call. While personal interaction is great, when you are on the road and need to know that you have a place to go to, Online booking would be much easier. The other suggestion would be to offer discounts for long-term stays. Their prices are fair, but on the high end and a discount for staying a week or month or longer would be A reasonable thing to do.

Because we had booked so late, for our four night stay, we were in three different spots 70, 58 and 60. All were very good, but 70-72 are the best with wider spots. Definitely worth the extra cost. We were contacted by email and text as we got closer to our trip, giving us general check in instructions and what to expect, which I appreciated. We arrived after the office closed, but check in was easy with a packet waiting for us just outside the office. This park is well maintained with beautiful scenery and is surprisingly quiet. There were several campsites with dogs, but the owners were good about keeping them quiet. My husband and I walked the park when it cooled down in the evenings and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We even made some new friends who we hope will cross paths with in the future. There is a general store within walking distance stocked with basic non perishable items. The highlight of our stay here was our prime rib dinner at the Ouray Cafe and Restaurant located on the edge of the park. It's a must stop if you're here! We didn't go to the hot spring, but it's a close walk from the park, as is downtown Ouray. This was a great first trip for us and we'll be returning!

Five days of soaking at Orvis, exploring Ridgway (Colorado Boy Pizza n Brew" & "Lazy Dog Restaurant…read more& Bar"), day trip to Telluride and day trip to Ouray (ice walls, Wiesbaden Vapor Caves). Excellent glam camping experience. Full kitchen in an awesome clubhouse made morning tea and coffee and heating breakfast easy. Clean, well lit facilities. Dark sky area made star gazing breathtaking. Interesting UFO activity. The caretakers were lovely (Hannah and her man). Will visit, again!

When we were leaving a staff member told us to wait and she would have the maintenance staff come down and plow behind our vehicle for us to leave. After standing outside for 5 minutes I sent a message saying, "Are you going to come plow??" Which the owner then stated was me being rude to staff and that we could have gotten out without their help. We didn't ask for help getting out.. a staff member told us they were going to provide that service to us. They also said we were disruptive to guests, but the tent next to us was up way later than we were?? They are upset that I got AirBnB involved for a refund and are retaliating against us by leaving a false narrative on us. I wouldn't give Sam or Heather two pennies of my money ever again.
