I first visited in September 2023 and after some x rays and a detailed discussion with Dr. Rode, we agreed that I needed to have bunion surgery on each foot. We scheduled to do the right foot about 4 months later and I'm now almost 3 months post surgery so I thought it was time for a review. First things first, the office is nice, the staff is incredibly friendly and they take you right in when you arrive for your appointment. I also had the challenge of working with my employer's benefits division to obtain permission to work fully remotely during my 2 months of being unable to drive/walk and Ashley and the other staffers who I dealt with were so patient with all of my "can you fill this form out AGAIN" requests. My surgery was scheduled for 7am on a Thursday at Bloomfield Ambulatory (see my great review for that place) and the whole experience felt swift, extremely professional and calming. Dr. Rode came in, drew a smiley face on my toe and a couple of hours later I was resting in at home in bed. They did give me a nerve block that held the pain at bay for about 48 hours. Other than that, I'm happy that Dr. Rode is not one to prescribe heavy hitting opiates for pain. I received an RX just for ibuprofen and it worked well. If you look at my pictures, you'll see that I was sent home from surgery with a cool cold/ice wrap, wrapped into my bandages. I connected a device that did both icing and compression on both legs, to facilitate healing and prevent blood clots. Great contraption! After 4 weeks on crutches and not bearing weight, I was moved into a very sturdy walking boot for another 4 weeks. Finally, when I was giving my actual walking papers I did get a stern talking to about how awful my current sneakers (Pumas) would be to start walking. I did get a specific running shoe suggestion from the doc and that's what I've been using since. I will have swelling for a few months but I can tell you this, my foot looks incredible and it feels pain free. Now I have to schedule the other one to be fixed. Took him to a…read morelower limb specialist and they referred him to a rheumatologist and started him on PT where the Dr at West Hartford Podiatry had to be convinced to even order orthotics. Those orthotics were ordered at the beginning of August and weren't in till end of September. Unhappy and will never be returning.

From the moment I walked in his office, he and his staff explained what was happening from X-rays to medications. Dr Peteros explained everything so I could understand my options and helped me with everything. He was amazing and his nurse was also amazing! his follow up care made me feel like I was his only patient. Because of extraneous circumstances, I had to go back to his office several more times. He was overly cautious, but made sure that my foot was perfect before I was finished with him. I'm able to walk now and have no pain whatsoever. Not only do I highly recommend Dr. PeterosI but 3 of my friends are presently using him. You will be in very good hands.

Dr. Rafaella Pascarella was my doctor... I had surgery with her back in October 2024... She…read moreactually redid a surgery I had had years previously. She changed my life. I had been in so much pain for so many years after seeing Dr. Pascarella and with the work that she did to practically rebuild my ankle my quality of life has increased exponentially. I waited this long to do a review just to make sure that all this time later I still felt the same and I do. I don't feel like I think her enough then so I'm doing this review now. I met twice with doctors about my toenail health. Then I checked to see what debridement would cost…read moreand was told it was $75 but that insurance didn't pay for it. So I set up an appointment and Dr. LeBlanc took about 5 minutes to talk with me and 5 minutes to debride the nails with a sander. Lo and behold without telling me, the office charged me and my insurance for a doctor's visit IN ADDITION to the agreed-upon $75. I paid the $75 as I left that day. I was not informed there was any other charge. Upon my next debridement visit, I was informed that I owed a co-pay. They informed me at that point that they had charged for a full doctor's visit without telling me because of the 5 minutes of conversation about my nails that the doctor had with me with sander in hand. I was so upset about it that I refused to pay the co-pay and eventually left. They then called and said they'd forgive the co-pay. They were totally unsympathetic to my suggestion that they let people know ahead of time that if the doctor talked at all about the health of their nails, patients would be charged not just the $75 but also for a full doctor's visit. They said at one point "This is a business." I won't be returning to this 'business.'

Dr. Desai is great. He is very friendly and removed both of my husband's ingrown toe nails…read more However, Regie in the office is particularly rude. I was told I would be able to be in the room with my husband during his procedure by the medical assistant that brought us back. When Regie saw me sitting in the room as she was walking down the hall she waited until Dr.Desai walked out of the room after numbing my husbands toe before telling me it wasn't allowed (I had been in the room for over 10 minutes at that point). My husband then heard her berating the women who said it was okay for me to be in the room.

I have been working with Dr. Martone since a bad car accident in 1997. After many problems with, at…read morethe time, a broken foot, but was never corrected by the acting Dr, martone explained that to fix a major problem would require surgery along with an exterior casing to hold the foot in place. This I underwent and as was promised, I encountered zero pain while having this casing in place for three months. Now in 2014, that foot still is in great shape and he was able to offer me the quality of life that all would expect. Because of this experience, I found myself here again to address a different issue that has now required the use of orthotics for my shoes. Dr martone is one of the best in the area and would hands down recommend him for any foot related issues.

She's a great doctor and I couldn't recommend her enough. From the moment I walked in, I was treated by the service desk with kindness and respect. I was the last patient of the day but you would have thought they were waiting for me all day. Clearly, the employees are treated well and this must be a great place to work if everyone was this engaged. I came in with a year of severe heel pain and was awaiting the worst. Dr. Vander Poel came in and could not have had a better bedside manner. She quickly found what was wrong and it was a simple solution involving exercises and stretching. Following her direction, I was pain free in two days! I feel 10 years younger. If you have foot pain, come here. If you have to drive from elsewhere in the state, do it. They are that good.
