Jake and his wonderful team renovated two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room into a fully ADA compliant beautiful in-law suite with full kitchen. They also transformed an enormous second story game room into two bedrooms and a hallway. The bedrooms had very high ceilings and Jake installed and helped design large lofts that created a second story feeling for beds. The rooms are more like small apartment! Really amazing work. We also had new networking run throughout the house and his team worked with the networking team seamlessly. He has a great team of sub contractors; each and every one was courteous and helpful, jumping into to fix any surprise issues (house was newly purchased and we found a few groaner , like a badly cracked foundation), We will continue working with Silverman's as we make our newly purchased home into the house of our dreams! read more

Another 5 Star experience with Silverman's Construction! I am so happy that I hired Jake and his team of amazing craftspersons to update my 1980's house with over 1000 sf of luxury vinyl plank flooring. The original ceramic tile floors had been "refurbished" over the decades, but were worn and cracked, with missing and discolored grout, and really just not in line with my ranch house lifestyle decor dreams. The team did a great job removing the tile floors and installing the plank flooring. Jake made many excellent recommendations regarding the upgrades to not only the floors and baseboards, but also improving the door casings and interior millwork. Their attention to the details made all the difference! Jake and his crew were always prompt to address my questions and concerns, and I had more than a few! :) . The work was done with care and in consideration of our home and pets, and the job site was kept cleaned during the project. Thank you Jake and to all your crew. You guys are top notch! read more

Silverman's Construction walked us through a homeowners nightmare! we found a substantial foundation crack running through our first floor, and causing sagging with the bedrooms on the second floor. Their amazing crew came in and replaced all the subfloor upstairs making it safe and rock solid, all new doors, casings and baseboards, luxury vinyl flooring, new guest bathroom from floor to ceiling, and paint throughout the whole house. We are very thankful for Silverman's expertise, and making it possible for us to love our home again! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! read more

Silverman's construction helped us completely rebuild our kitchen after it flooded. Their pricing was really fair and they finished incredibly quickly. What a great team! Working with Jake and Luke went so smoothly- from getting a timely and reasonable estimate, to communicating progress throughout the project. We replaced our carpet and slate tiles with vinyl planks. They have a great eye for laying down the pattern- I love how it looks in every room! We appreciate the time and effort they took to find the perfect tiles to match the ones we didn't remove in our entryway. We have more renovations planned for our home, and look forward to continue working with Silverman's Construction! read more

Jake presented a scope of work which no one else was able to provide. He was transparent with his pricing and helped us stay within our budget. He was accountable and trustworthy . He connected us to an amazing team to paint, install new interior doors, and to help us construct a new kitchen. The outcome? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Naturally we're all attracted to the five-star contractors. Part of running a successful business, however, is actually running the business. I made three separate inquiries to Silverman's - once via phone (rolled to voicemail) and twice via email per the company's website. I never received a single response. Maybe times are good! I sure hope so - I hope local contractors are all working during this pandemic. Ultimately, though, failing to extend the simple courtesy of a response, even if it is to say "man we're too busy", earns you a single star. read more

We hired Silverman's to do our Master Bath remodel and are very pleased with the results. We were concerned about getting it done before the holidays but they made it happen ahead of schedule. They were also very patient with us in the bidding process as we had to change scope a few times while battling insurance co. They did what they said they would do and all of their subs were top notch. They only take SCV jobs and are local and I highly recommend using them if you are here in SCV. Don't bother with contractors in SFV. Having a local team that was very responsive made things very smooth. We will be hiring them again for the next project. read more

Friendly and Professional! Working with Luke and his team of subs was a great experience. Wish there were more stars to award. We refreshed our condo by touching up the paint in all the rooms, painted all interior doors and a bathroom, painted the cabinets in the kitchen and both baths and upgraded with soft-close hardware. The team kept the mess to a dull roar and cleaned up at the end of each day. Painting drawers and cupboards is disruptive to be sure, but we were able to roll with it. Communication is paramount with any project and we were never at a loss for information regarding project milestones. Without any hesitation or doubt, we would definitely work with this great team again! RS Smith / JE Wells read more

Don't use this guy. I contacted for an estimate and put down my time frame for the project as flexible. A couple of days go by and no response. Then a response comes from him and he gives a rubber stamp response..."sorry. I'm booked for this time." I double checked my original request and it does indeed say, my project time is flexible. Never did I say that I need project done today or tomorrow or by Friday, it said flexible and this is the BS response he gives??? What a joke for a business. read more

I would give Silverman's more stars if possible. I wanted to add a patio cover to my home and our HOA requires that the cover has to be wood. I contacted a few contractors but got no response or was told that they no longer build wood patio covers. I found Silverman's on Yelp. I called the number listed and Jake Silverman answered the phone - he listed his cell phone number. Jake came out the next day and arrived right on time. He understood exactly what we wanted and had several ideas to make it better. He gave us a quote which we accepted. Jake contacted our HOA and talked to the person responsible for approving the project. He also walked the building permit through the city building department. We set up a start date and his crew arrived right on time - every time work was scheduled. Each member of his crew was friendly, accommodating and skilled. Jake was not always on the job, but I could always reach him via phone or text messaging. The completed job is really high quality and exhibits the craftsmanship of crew and Jake's high standards As with any job, there were a couple of mishaps, but they were addressed and corrected immediately. During the final inspection Jake noted a couple of things not up to his standards and called people to come out and make things right. I would not hesitate to recommend Silverman's to anyone and I will use them for future projects. It has now been one year since Silverman's completed my patio cover. When the job was completed Jake Silverman told me that he would come back after the patio had gone through the heat of the Summer to fix any gaps created by shrinkage of the lumber. Jake recently sent a worker to my home to tighten hardware and calk any gaps that appeared. After making the repairs the affected areas were repainted. This much appreciated work was done at no cost to me. Jake stands behind his work and makes adjustments caused by Mother Nature. read more

My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the built in Silverman's Construction did for us. We had a few photos of projects we liked and Jake was able to take the parts we liked from different project and incorporate them into a well thought out design. His communication from start to finish is the best we've experienced having used other contractors for past projects. Starting with pricing broken down in a clear contract then leading into professional renderings. All of the details were covered, including an accurate time frame for installation that they were able to stick to. We could go on and on as do all of the people who have written reviews that have worked with Jake and his team. Will be our general contractor for life! read more

Highly recommend Silverman's Construction! We essentially did a full remodel of our condo including, new flooring, kitchen and bathroom (2) remodel. The quality of work is top-notch, and we are so thrilled with the outcome! From our first meeting with Jake (owner) and Luke (project manager), we knew we liked them. They were straight-to-the-point and efficient discussing the scope of work. A week later they provided a detailed estimate that didn't come close to what another contractor quoted us. Needless to say, after signing the contract, they got to work within the next week. Communication throughout the project was fantastic. They were always direct and honest with us and provided great suggestions and options throughout the project. In the beginning, there was an issue with some plumbing, but we talked to Jake and he offered to personally come over and take care of it himself, at 8pm in the evening. And during another walk-through, Jake pointed out that some work had been done but he wasn't satisfied with the quality and was going to have it redone. It's apparent how much he cares about the quality of his work, and we genuinely appreciate working with someone so trustworthy. Would hire them again for any future projects! read more

Highly recommend Silverman's Construction! We hired Jake and his crew to convert our front den into a 4th bedroom. It looks fantastic!! We had met with a couple of different contractors prior to hiring anyone, but once we met with Jake and Luke, we knew we had found our contractor. We liked their straight forward style and felt working with them would be our best choice. We were right! They dealt with the City to obtain the necessary permits and inspections for the job. Once our start date came around, the entire crew was great! Always professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The room was completed on time and we are very happy. They did a great job! Luke was our go to guy as he was always available via text letting us know what was happening day to day. Much appreciated! We had originally planned to add some work to another room as well, but we only decided against it after talking further to Jake. He wasn't completely certain it would have resulted in what we were looking for. So, Jake could have just taken our money, but he didn't! Instead, he was honest and wanted us to be happy. He told us his concern and said it was ultimately our call. Wow, if only everyone did business like this. How refreshing and so impressive!! Thank you guys so much! read more

Jake and his team are extremely professional, knowledgable, and easy to work with. They came in with a great quote, reasonable timeline and most importantly, Jake and everyone on his team are superb communicators. I've worked with other contractors before, and it's a difficult thing to open your home to all the dust and boots and bathroom visits by strangers for several weeks. But Silverman Construction has been extremely thoughtful and considerate. Several times Jake and his team have taken that extra step and worked harder or longer to make sure everything is polished and I'm happy. They explain the job overall and along the way each step is clarified. I'm included in the decision making process as much as needed and if I'm not available, I can trust the crew to make smart decisions. This kind of reliability is usually hard to find. Everything from crew's parking, daily clean up, attention to detail and even thoughtfulness about my 22 month old's safety is top notch. It's necessary but a rare thing to feel like the team that is gutting a part of your home is on your side. I can't say enough about how pleased I am and how much I trust them to recreate parts of our home that will be in our lives forever. Highly recommend. read more

Where to begin with Silverman's Construction. Luke was my guy. I hired them to tear down & rebuild our pergola patio cover in the backyard. We have a large side area & a large back area. Two completely separate patio covers. Both probably 32 feet by 8 feet each. Old ones were made of solid wood. We met with Luke a couple of times to discuss the project, the design, construction, etc. Each time I had questions or wanted to ask something about the backyard project, Luke was responsive. Further if I asked him to come over to check something out or talk to me about this, that, or another thing, he would come over. Luke had maybe 4 guys working the backyard project. These guys were very friendly to me/us. They knew what their job was to do and they did it efficiently and cleanly. When it came time to construct the new covers it was the same crew. They took care of all of the painting, moving of the lumber (we built the new covers with wood), and installing the entire 2 structures. Luke's guys left no trace that they were there, after they finished. I think it took about two to three weeks to have the entire backyard project complete. When I go outside I still am in awe over the patio covers we have. Not just because the covers that were taking down were 20+ years old but just the design, the crisp new white paint, how the support beams were installed & finished. Then we had Luke do some work on the inside of the house. We completely remodeled our living room. There was a large architectural showpiece inside the living room that was definitely from the late 80s. I'm sure it was amazing back then but not in style in 2022. We did the demo ourselves, it was a lot of demo, opened an entire wall, removed the showpiece that included 2 columns. For 2 non-construction people we really tore it up. As a result of how much was demolished we had a great deal of trash, debris, ripped out drywall, etc. Luke was gracious enough to remove literally all of the trash for us. That helped us tremendously. Now we did take a fair amount of time (us, homeowners) to do the demolition and Luke was very patient with us. He never pushed a timeline on us, never rushed us. Since the wall was open I wanted to run cabling & wiring and have some electrical work done, before the wall was closed. With it being summer and both of us working we could only do open wall & attic work over the weekends. Luke basically said when we're ready to have items done just let him know and he will schedule it. Very much appreciated that. When we were ready for the drywall to go back up we told Luke and he got it scheduled. His drywall guys were great. They took care of all wall install in 2 days. Not too long before the wall was to go up I changed my mind on what drywall I wanted installed. Since the wall was open and we were rearranging the living room, we would soon be having sound (I'm a very loud music/sound person) go into a wall that previously never had sound pushing at it. Therefore I wanted to have a better quality, sound-dampening drywall installed. I asked for QuietRock and Luke had no issue procuring that, again even though it was not too much advance notice from when the wall was scheduled to go in. I can absolutely feel the sound absorption because of the QuietRock. Once the wall was in I was SO pleased. The top part of the entire wall exposed the attic and anyone in SoCal knows that an attic in summer is miserable. All we could do was keep plastic sheeting on the wall to try & block the heat from the attic. When the drywall guys were done the wall was great. The drywall guys also helped us out by patching in some other spaces in the other walls in the living room. Thank you! read more

I cannot say enough about Silverman's! We needed a new patio cover and some wood repair, eaves painting and a band strip replaced. Their price was fair, timing was fabulous and the end result was better than I imagined. They found we needed significant roof repairs and added that on for a more than fair price. It's no wonder that they're busy because when you're that good, you book quickly. Not one time did they try to up sell or create nonsense work. Jake is everything I could want in a contractor. He's honest, communicative, easy-going, trust-worthy, and he does great work. We hired him to do an addition, including a bathroom, and also vault the ceiling in an existing room. He honest and forthcoming the entire process, which took way longer than expected due to numerous delays (mostly out of his control), but he handled everything like a champ, absorbing the cost of all unexpected occurrences. He delivered totally on budget and we're very happy with the result. I've already recommended him to friends and would to anyone. I was very thorough in my search for a contractor, interviewing many of the top rated contractors on yelp. They all quoted exorbitant prices or were sketchy. As a woman who works from home and was therefore home by myself throughout the entire process, it was really important to me to deal with someone I could trust. My husband and I bought our first home a few years ago and it was a fixer upper/short sale. We finally saved enough money to remodel towards the end of 2014 before the holidays. We hired Jake Silverman and his crew and they installed all new doors and door frames, dual panel windows and sliding glass door, new wood floors, new base boards, removed our popcorn ceiling, and painted the whole interior (3 bed, 2 bath, and the ceiling) of our house. They did an amazing job! I was shocked when I walked in to my house to see how beautiful it looked. It felt like I had bought a new house! It was everything I dreamed of. Jake's crew even regraded our backyard and removed 6 truck loads of dirt to help level it out. Jake gave us fair prices and quality work! I would highly recommend him for any job! He did everything in a timely manner and was very professional! Jake was also very patient with me. I kept going back and forth on paint color, door fixtures, base boards, and all the little details. I'm a very indecisive person, but I just wanted to make sure everything was going to be truly what I wanted since we had saved for so long to finally remodel. Needless to say, it was the best Christmas I had spent it in my freshly remodeled home and I owe it all to Jake and his crew! My parents were so impressed with their work, they hired Silverman's Construction to paint the interior of their house, install a new french door, and to build two trellises in the backyard for grape vines to grow on and the other for a hammock to hang from. It gave my parents backyard such a beautiful touch! Again, they did a great job and finished in a timely manner like he promised! My parents were really happy with their work. This was the best general contractor I've worked with in a long time I refer all my friends and family to him

Moving into a new home for the first time, I needed to remove a number of walls. I brought in at least 3 contractors from other companies who claimed to offer free estimates. Some said the walls were load-bearing and would cost enormous prices, including a whole mess of city permits. Others never even got back to me. Enter Jake: He took 10 minutes to walk through my house and explain exactly what we needed to do. Unlike the others, Jake could tell right away that the walls were non-loading bearing. It saved me a ton of money. A few weeks later, the walls were gone. Jake's crew was fantastic. They worked quickly, were friendly and did a thorough job cleaning up a messy job (our walls had plaster inside). I've been in touch with Silverman's Construction ever since. They've referred me to other amazing local contractors who I've also hired. Looking forward to hiring Silverman's in the future and have recommended them to neighbors already. read more
