I stayed with a group of golfers and tourists. The hotel was great, upscale, good look, good rate. I would stay again.

Best hotel in Omagh. Rooms are quite good and service as well. Not the best bar or food though.

Looking for a great B&B experience in Donegal Town? Then look no further than Mary and Sean's…read moreArdeevin Guest House! We found the Ardeevin Guest House with good reviews on Tripadvisor. We booked through hotel apps (and were later told by the owners that doing so avoids the 15% upcharge through Bookings.com) and had no issues with that service. We did have a little trouble finding the place, even with the use of a GPS (our Garmin with Ireland map didn't have the house listed in its database), but we came in along what must have been the back way, since we did notice signs for the house along the entry route once we got our bearings. Make sure you email or call the owners prior to visiting; they'll tell you the town to plug into your GPS that will bring you straight to the house. We were greeted with a quick check-in and shown to our lovely downstairs room with a large window that faced a stunning view of Lough Eske and the rolling Irish farmland that dominates the local terrain. The house has a large sheep pen in the back, and the owners were more than willing to let my wife (a huge fan of animals) visit their sheep and admire the scenery from the back yard. The house in very nicely furnished, and the en suite bedroom was very cozy. A comfortable, warm bed with thick sheets, comforter, and pillows with a nice wardrobe and relatively roomy shower and sink. Even the water pressure was excellent. Guests are treated to a fantastic breakfast each morning, with attentive service by Sean (one of the owners), who parades out with Mary's excellent cooking. The breakfast selection is good enough to suit even the most demanding palettes. The house is very conveniently located, too, with easy access to Donegal Town (about 4.5 km down the road) and is about 40 minutes south of Letterkenny. For those looking for a more refined dinner experience than what can be found in town, you'll be situated only ten minutes from the Solis Lough Eske Castle, which is a relatively high-end luxury resort. We had dinner there one night and drinks another night; the Ardeevin House was a perfect jumping off point. All told, we had a magnificent B&B experience at Ardeevin House, and it would get our very highest recommendation to anyone we know that might travel to that part of Ireland and would be looking for an ideal B&B experience. Mary and Sean are tip-top hosts and are as sweet and as kind as can be.

Checked in around 2pm, then hit the spa! Our treatments weren't until 5 but we hit up the pool, saunas and other cool amenities. The hotel is super nice, staff is super duper friendly! Our package includes a 30 minute spa treatment plus 3 course dinner for 150 euro, which was pretty good. My scrub/massage was awesome, felt refreshed! Dinner was delicious! Rooms were very nice and the buffet breakfast the next morning was bomb! If you get a chance, take a walk around the grounds. Overall a great little get a way spot to relax and get pampered!

There is lots of land to roam around and explore including a huge golf course. The rooms are spacious and have lovely bathrooms with a shower and a bath. Free wifi in the rooms, a fridge, hairdryer etc and even robes and slippers! There's an indoor and outdoor pool with loungers with comfy pillows if you want to relax by the pool and read a book. There's also steam rooms of various temperatures, foot spas and nice showers. On a quiet day you can really lap up the peace and serenity, drink unlimited amounts of tea, coffee and juices and just relax. I had a Swedish back and shoulder massage from the Beauty Salon. It was amazing! They even have a hair salon! You really don't need to leave the hotel over your stay as there are plenty of options to eat. The Botanic restaurant or the Cellar Bar (or room service) have got plenty of choice on their menus. It all comes from the same kitchen anyway. I was so impressed with the buffet breakfast. So much to choose from! Probably the biggest buffet breakfast I have ever seen in a hotel. Fried, scrambled and boiled eggs to choose from! The staff are very helpful and friendly too. I couldn't have asked for more. I really enjoyed my stays here (3 times in 2 years) I recommend it highly and I know I'll go back again.

Our room was air conditioned ( not all in Ireland are) and we were served well by the bartender in the evening and for breakfast. They had a nice selection of breakfast options including salmon and scrambled eggs. Good coffee, fine linens, overall a place I would return to.

The Shipquay is located in a gorgeous Italianate-style-listed heritage building that comprises a wealth of magnificent boutique hotel rooms. Our Superior Double Room had a beautiful and comfortable king-sized bed that was stylish and sophisticated. We enjoyed the amenities, such as the walk-in shower and the castiron tub that my wife and I loved immensely. They had complimentary WiFi and robes and slippers for us to wear in the morning and at night that was quite comfortable. The restaurant on the lobby floor provided us with delicious eats for breakfast and dinner, with refreshing and tasty cocktails, all in a stylish and contemporary interior that was our speed. The hotel is close to everything for site seeing and visiting attractions. There are tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance to enjoy. And if you want to stay indoors for the night, you have the restaurant and bar or speakeasy that's on-site. There are shopping centers everywhere, including one next store if you need to pick up some clothes, souvenirs, or just want to take a gander through. Overall, this is the place to stay when in Derry, and we will do so again upon our next one.
