Their Friends of the Library section is decently stocked, but what sets this location apart is they also sell cards! Many occasions - holidays, get well soon, just because - it's really cute. A few other things that makes this library unique: 1) They have free seed packets for bee-friendly flowers; 2) There's a scavenger hunt for kids - if they find everything, they can pick a small item out of a container to take home; 3) They have a play kitchen and market and a few tables where kids can do different activities; 4) Their selection of audiobooks for both kids and adults is pretty impressive. They also have a monthly calendar, some newspapers, and brochures, along with staff recommendations and board games to check out. Very cool!

It's a very small library in the OC system, half devoted to children and half to adults. Having driven by it countless times but never having a reason to stop (because until recently I've worked nextdoor to a library) I finally decided to check them out. They have an abundance of parking. Inside, there are a few computers for patron usage, one of which I used to sign up for a library card. With a library card you can check out things from the library as well as have free online access to Overdrive and Hoopla for ebooks. Staff were very friendly and helpful in answering a couple questions I had. Shelves were well-labeled for their little collection of books, audio books & DVDs (yes, they still exist). The children's section had a few play areas amidst the bookshelves and seemed very inviting for a youngster. In fact all of the patrons I saw here were moms with kids. They seem to have a lot of programs for children. For families in the area this is a wonderful library.

Foothill Ranch Library is among a handful OCPL locations that has a stand-alone community room. It is used for magic shows, music performances, classrooms, and a neighborhood vote center as needed. I only found out today that it hosts an ESL conversation meeting on the second and fourth Mondays every month led by Anna, a library staff. Today I checked out a printed book and an audio book on Japanese to study. Very grateful for these resources I can access for free.

It's a 20-30 min from Irvine but Ms. Rylee keeps the kids engaged and there are so many things to do. The beauty of this library is that there is a park in the same parking lot. If you ever come, story time is in the MPR separate from the library. There's ample space and stroller parking inside, as well as bathrooms.

i hadn't even realized that the irvine public library had reopened! i remember when it closed a few…read moreyears ago, and i was honestly so devastated when i heard they were leaving the ocpl system. apparently, i really did not keep up with what happened after that because i was told that it's been open for a while now. after finally going back, though, i can definitely say that the changes seem to have been for the better. the layout is still mostly the same, and i'm really glad they kept the little used bookstore, so it still has that familiar library feel. but everything has been modernized and it feels so much more spacious now. there's a lot more seating throughout the library, along with more areas for people to use computers, work, study, or just hang out for a bit. the whole place feels brighter and more open, and it looks much less run down than i remember it being before. it still feels like the same library i remember, just with a very much needed glow-up. considering how much the space was revamped, it's a really gorgeous new establishment, and i'm honestly just excited that i can go back again! now that i know it's open, i'll definitely have to start stopping by more often.

All the computer are turned off ! 5 o'clock closing time. No warning they just all turned off. Small notice probably had something covering that window on the computer screen. My document was sent to the printer & spooled - final print mode. But everybody's computer turned off exactly at five despite if there documents were sent to the printer. But if the computers are turned off. It won't print them. Please fix this situation somehow in someway. I do appreciate that the last two times I went there and had issues with something. (or somebody else did). Someone was kind enough to quickly help from the front desk.

Henceforth,…read moreI've always been partial to visiting these institutions, which led to me selecting this location to collect vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots for the Riverside Registrar of Voters leading up to the Presidential Primary Election in early 2024. I spent many hours observing the patrons and employees, as well as wandering the facility, and these are the results. First, the location is excellent. Not far from the municipal buildings, fairly close to the 91 Freeway, and on the lower edge of the sloping foothills that makes Corona one of the least efficient cities to travel around. Fortunately, the library doesn't share that flaw. Inside is a long hallway lined with the circulation desk and many displays of artwork and Lego models. These are rotating decor, but it's fun to watch kids casting votes for the best item. Another grand hallway joins perpendicular to the main one and this leads to the extensive children's section, and also has passport services and a sizeable Friends of the Library bookstore (separate review for that). Computers, conference rooms, instructional classrooms, and study rooms are available. A couple other favorite areas Include the large boardgame section and Teens area with its impressive selection of Manga anime and studyhall. Even if the same bad middleschool kids got kicked out almost daily for being loud and obnoxious, it was entertaining. A co-worker commented one day after the second or third incident: "There's the instigator, the girl with the red sneakers." Good times. On a personal note, it's nice seeing that some kids still read and enjoy visiting the local library.

It was an unexpected stop, but it was nice to just chill out and enjoy the Irvine community. I was here at Heritage Community Park for about 2 1/2 hours. After having brunch with my family at the Broken Yolk Café - Irvine after taking the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner from LAX, we ended up here after swinging by the house and picking up their tennis gear and headed here for warm ups and tennis matches. It was nice to just sit here and watching my nephew play tennis and remind myself that I used to play tennis, but never got any good because I never really was good to begin with lol. I just loved to serve hard. In any case, I spent a large chunk of my time here at Heritage Park watching him play 3 matches over the course of 2 1/2 hours. The day got warm, so I found some shade near the tennis courts. I managed to nod off for 10 minutes while cooling off. It was cool to see the park and all the families that was here that morning and me being a tourist. It reminds me that I could still pick up tennis if I wanted to, hopefully I can find my tennis racquet somewhere in storage. It was also nice that there is restroom facilities here at Heritage Community Park too. The overall experience here at the Heritage Community Park here in Irvine, California was good and very nice after a day of travel from Honolulu to Los Angeles, and then a short trip to Irvine. The park itself isn't that large, but it does have a lot of tennis courts. My sister said Irvine community has a big tennis engagement thing and it shows that young people embrace it wholeheartedly. I thought that was pretty cool. The park itself is well maintained by the city of Irvine and there's a lot of trees everywhere to shield anyone and everyone from the heat during summer time and maybe the wind sheer during the winter months. From where I was, there wa at least 4 full sized tennis courts here and I was situated next to the parking lot. There wasn't much sitting areas to view, but I got lucky with a wall and shade from the trees. For the most part though, I ended up drifting off to sleep a few times, because I was jetlagged, but I was awake for most of the matches my nephew was in. Heritage Community Park is located in the heart of Irvine, California. There's also a spot for barbecues and soccer fields too. This park is particularly massive and I just stayed for the tennis matches. It's located in the heart of Irvine, California at 14301 Yale Avenue. Like all municipal parks, there's no admission fee to enter the park. Although there is rental fees associated with some on site equipment and things, majority of the park is free to enjoy with friends and family. As far as parking goes, there's a large and generous parking area for anyone and everyone who wishes to park here. And if you like public transportation, choose the routes that's best for you to get here to Heritage Community Park in Irvine. Never thought I'd be here to see people play tennis while on vacation, but here I was. It was cool and a nice change of pace when I am traveling. If you need that downtime and in Irvine, consider coming here to Heritage Community Park. Definitely will lift your spirits for a day or two. I'm happy that I saw my nephew play tennis.
