Foothill Ranch Library is among a handful OCPL locations that has a stand-alone community room. It is used for magic shows, music performances, classrooms, and a neighborhood vote center as needed. I only found out today that it hosts an ESL conversation meeting on the second and fourth Mondays every month led by Anna, a library staff. Today I checked out a printed book and an audio book on Japanese to study. Very grateful for these resources I can access for free.

This is a terrible library I never seen. The printers often malfunction--sometimes you paid but it…read morewon't print, or the computer won't let you access the printing system. The computers here are strange too. When you want to end your session, you can't even find a way to close the screen, because there is no end button! This makes it impossible to use them again, even if you haven't exceeded the permitted usage time. And no one could help it!

They had a great "recommended" table at the front. They were also promoting two books clubs that they have through the library; I'll definitely want to take a closer look at those in the future. I could have had it sent to a library closer to me but I knew I'd eventually be in the area so I stopped here while running errands one day. It's located at the civic center where there is plenty of parking. The library is small but seemed to have plenty of places for patrons to sit. It was very quiet on the Thursday afternoon I visited. I noticed they have a good-sized children's section as well as a "Friends of the Library" used bookstore at the entrance. Once inside, I quickly found the book I was after, used the self-check-out monitor at the front desk and was quickly on my way.

When researching what to do in town, the library kept popping up, mostly because of its architecture, and I'm so glad I made it a point to walk over to the library located on the edge of town. Yes, the building is absolutely stunning and incredibly unique... but what truly made the experience extra special for me were the librarians. They were so genuinely kind and welcoming and I very proudly added an Orange County Library card to my growing collection (a personal joy, honestly). It was the perfect place to wander aimlessly amongst the stacks of books, charge my devices, sit and relax, and browse through their national park books. The Friends of the San Juan Capistrano Library Bookstore was also open and had a great selection that made it very hard to leave empty handed. This library is beautiful, peaceful, resource rich (more than just books!) I wish I lived closer so I could come more often.

I came here to get a specific book that only this branch within the OC library system had. You can have a book sent to the library closest to you but I hadn't been to San Clemente for a while, so I wanted to make the drive; it was nice to walk around the old town area after grabbing the book. Librarians were very nice and the library was quiet with quite a few tables and chairs within an open space. One of the more inviting libraries in OC.

The library bookstore is separate from the main library. It is next to the restrooms in the…read moreentrance. Their selection of books is more diverse than the other OC library bookstores I've been to. I would feel it's as comparable to a really small Bookoff in terms of what I can find there selection-wise. However, going at different times I sometimes find nothing good. Maybe the selection is so good at times that too many people buy stuff here. Most recently I didn't find anything too good, so I just impulse purchased a few things and left. They accept credit cards.

Though the library isn't the biggest, the staff here are super friendly and they have unique offerings. Their Friends of the Library section is decently stocked, but what sets this location apart is they also sell cards! Many occasions - holidays, get well soon, just because - it's really cute. A few other things that makes this library unique: 1) They have free seed packets for bee-friendly flowers; 2) There's a scavenger hunt for kids - if they find everything, they can pick a small item out of a container to take home; 3) They have a play kitchen and market and a few tables where kids can do different activities; 4) Their selection of audiobooks for both kids and adults is pretty impressive. They also have a monthly calendar, some newspapers, and brochures, along with staff recommendations and board games to check out. Very cool!

It's a very small library in the OC system, half devoted to children and half to adults. Having driven by it countless times but never having a reason to stop (because until recently I've worked nextdoor to a library) I finally decided to check them out. They have an abundance of parking. Inside, there are a few computers for patron usage, one of which I used to sign up for a library card. With a library card you can check out things from the library as well as have free online access to Overdrive and Hoopla for ebooks. Staff were very friendly and helpful in answering a couple questions I had. Shelves were well-labeled for their little collection of books, audio books & DVDs (yes, they still exist). The children's section had a few play areas amidst the bookshelves and seemed very inviting for a youngster. In fact all of the patrons I saw here were moms with kids. They seem to have a lot of programs for children. For families in the area this is a wonderful library.
