Love this cute library fairy garden. We walked from the beach. It was off season (early fall or late summer). We got there around 10-11am and just paid $20 to park instead of waiting for ppl to leave. Great place to walk around with plenty of places to eat and shop.

Even the seating outside is nice. Artistic.

This is one of the nicest public libraries. The librarian is so kind and greets you at the door. The children get to the scavenger hunts, and get prizes. It's Laguna Beach and it has a Laguna Beach vibe. And in my opinion, that vibe is everybody is appreciated, and we're near the ocean beautiful Laguna Beach ocean

This little library is a treasure. A perfect quiet place to take my kids for a break. Lots for little kids. We enjoyed playing with other families for their Lego playtime. We colored and read books and spent lots of time wandering through the fairy garden. Free parking while you are at the library.

The kids love going to this library. Everyone was so helpful and friendly here. We can't wait to visit again, thank you!

What a quaint library. It is on a corner lot. Bathrooms available to public. Reading centers for all ages. Activities such as a Lego Club. Something for everyone.

I really really wanted to fall in love with this particular library. Everything on the outside of this library makes it a coastal gem. For example, there is an inventive learning discovery garden, lovely sculptures festooning the perimeter, along with other explorative activities for families. However, just like most of the OC (except for Laguna Cyclery, of course), the outside doesn't really reflect the inside. I am a bit disappointed with the staff. I know they are kind, because I've seen them be kind to other people. That kindness is more likely reserved for people who don't look like they've been collecting seawater samples for their research all day. Understandable. The first time I came in, I asked the librarian assistant what book she would recommend right now? She answered blankly, "I don't know." Then I asked another assistant what he thought about ChatGPT and the fate of books? Another blank expression. Didn't blame him for that one. The last time I came in, I asked the lead librarian how she was? She responded briskly with, "I'm busy." Cool, dude. My devotion and fascination for libraries is not affected by those experiences. Thus, my review is a 3. Fair. Somewhat not impressed by the lack of warmth or knowledge from the staff, but it's okay. This spot is still filled with captivating local books, a view of the California Current, and a rad downstairs connected bookstore. A library is the preservation of knowledge in its most analog and original form. What could be more valuable than that?

What a great library in Laguna Beach. I go there quite a bit to get out of my office. Recently, I had to print some pages out on PDF and Word. I was struggling with a deadline and Lee Enos ( I think he is the manager) came over and walked me through the process. they keep it clean, well organized and such a great spot !! Thank you to the staff and Merry Christmas to them !! Mark

See main beach in the background, our reward for hard work later today!

I made the mistake of calling to report spam being sent out by Hoopla Digital. The elderly employee who answered the phone assumed what I was calling about and proceeded to deliver a monologue. When she finally paused for breath, I quickly told her why I was calling. She proceeded to deliver another monologue and when I tried to say something she raised her voice to drown me out. This woman has had zero customer service training and she's extremely rude. This employee has no business answering the phone or interacting with patrons. I'm sure she's the same employee others complain about. It tracks. I emailed and phoned the branch manager regarding the phone call I had with her elderly employee. I voiced concern about this employees behavior towards me and the manager had a complete meltdown! She never attempted to apologize for how I was treated on the phone. Her attitude was quite appalling. I was seriously questioning her behavior at this point. What kind of people is the library system hiring? To berate a patron who calls to complain about the unprofessional behavior of a library employee is completely ridiculous! After reading these reviews, I understand my experience wasn't out of the ordinary with this library. This branch managers emailed response was flippant and dismissive. She then declared the matter was closed. (Obey me or else attitude). I responded by informing her I didn't appreciate her tone or the tone of her employee. I reminded her that she was employed to serve library patrons. She had yet another meltdown! Her strange belief that she has every right to harass and bully library patrons was blatantly obvious by her response to me. She actually threatened to revoke my library privileges! WHO DOES THAT??? Her written response to me is so wildly inappropriate as to be quite alarming! I'm not sure how I will proceed but her abuse of her position and the fact that she thinks it's acceptable to harass and bully a patron who complains MUST be addressed. I'm absolutely appalled. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior in a library before. It's clear this library has some major, very alarming issues that need to be addressed. It may well be time to attend a city council meeting.

But that's OK for me as it's a place for me to easily return books, pick up books I reserve, and grab a quick read when I need it. It's super-convenient for when I run errands to Aldi, UPS, Coffee Bean being the same plaza and also great for Laguna Woods Village elders. For people who are looking for a usual library, there are several within a few minutes drive: 1) El Toro - 7 minutes away on the El Toro 2) Laguna Hills - 7 minutes 3) Laguna Beach - 16 minutes away (my favorite, great view of beach, not huge but good variety of books)

It has a single bookshelf of books. It has a bookshelf of dvd's. A couple of computers. A book return drop. A person who can order books through a library loan system. What it does not have is tables to sit down and read. It is a place you can go to pick up a dvd, use a computer with internet, request a book that may take a couple of days, and return a book. The people who come here appear to be seniors. I believe the place is for seniors to use the internet and request a book. The disappointment of the place is that "mini" or "satellite" is not in the title. Just the word library is enough to make me think the place came with chairs and tables and more than just a single bookshelf.
