Some libraries are not inviting, but this one made me feel calm and relaxed. There's plenty of parking. I just happened to park in the wrong place. There are lots of areas to study. Air-conditioning is nice and cool. There's a kids' area and teen area too. The kids' area is huge. Parents can sit and watch their kids play. If it was not so far away, I think I would go there daily. It's a really nice library. They also have a community center nearby where you can book a room for a parties and celebrations.

I came to the Mesa Verde Library to work on some applications today, and I think that though this…read morelibrary is quaint and small, it is also very peaceful and clean. Upon entering there are stairs that lead to a small upper and lower level for teens that has desks and chairs. I snagged a table with an outlet on the middle level rather easily, and was able to get to work. There was also several computer stations and a place where you can print documents, for a charge I believe. The staff is also very friendly, and I definitely enjoyed doing work here uninterrupted. One thing to note is that if you're expecting complete silence, this might not be the place that you want to, but if you can tolerate some noise and speech, I think that this is a fine enough place to study and do some work.

Lots of book choices and DVDs; convenient transfer process with sister locations. Access to Libby (digital networked library system for even more titles and magazines). Free. The best part is they are good about fines. The max fine for a late book is $10. That's it. (But if you lose a book, you pay for the book and a $10 administrative fee). The only thing I don't understand is what is upstairs? They recently did a remodel but still we cannot go up there. Swell hours; 9 am to 9 pm weekdays, like retail! And open on Sunday! Sweet! Weekdays it is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, but closed on Sundays. Huge lot for parking. The library itself is beautiful. There's a large fountain in the center of the building that gives the space a unique, open feel, and it makes the library feel more like a community gathering place with an air of nostalgia and calmness that comes with a spa day. There are lots of tables and study areas spread throughout the library, so it's never difficult to find a place to sit. The collections are plentiful, with a wide selection of books across different genres, mixed media, and materials for everyone including a dedicated children's area. One feature that was new to me was the Makerspace. It's available by appointment for library card holders, and you'll need to bring your own design or project idea. An instructor is there to guide you through the process, which makes it less intimidating for anyone interested in learning something new. It lives next to a café located on the lower level, which is convenient if you plan on spending a few hours studying or working. Overall, this is an amazing library with great amenities, plenty of space, and resources that go beyond books. This is somewhere I recommend everyone checks out when they're in the area - pun intended.

I loved seeing the sculpture that will be at Burning Man this year. The garden is on the smaller size for a botanical garden (some stuff was under maintenance while we were there) but the gardens were impeccable. My favorite part was all the dahlias. Stunning! Your entry ticket ($12 for adults) also includes admission to the library, which had a bonsai area and some fun history. We were able to easily find free parking nearby. All the staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the work. I definitely recommend this spot! Such a beautiful, relaxing space.

Beautiful still. We came the day before Mother's Day for the rose show. Looking forward to coming back when construction completes because at $5 admission that is kind of a rip for how much is there. It took us longer because I recognized someone at the rose show and my son is really into plants but for an average person I'd say 30-45 min is really how much is there right now until they finish the remodel

The library is about 2 minutes from the beach which makes it perfect for fresh air and a cafe type experience without the noise. Just bring your own coffee. There are plenty of coffee shops and cafes a block away. There are no homeless like at all the other libraries. This is a small neighborhood library that keeps with the tradition of what a library is supposed to be. Free wifi and again..no homeless. Great kids section with regular scheduled kid activities on yhe weekends. I am a fan and then some. Great neighborhood library!

It's quaint, small and not overcrowded in the least bit. I've known the research librarians there since I was about 5, and it is always a pleasure to go back and see the people you associate reading with. But the 5 score on this branch is not due to my nostalgia. The friendliness, the easy accessibility and the location are just part of this library's charm. They rent out VHSs still, in addition to DVDs, and the library is always expanding. If there's a book that you need, that they don't have, it's almost always at the central library, a close drive away. This place is the perfect spot to go and get work done, no one bothers you, and you can almost always get an entire table to yourself. It really is an enjoyable place.

This is a nice library - newer than the one they had closer to the middle of campus. I like the third floor (which is the library's 2nd floor - as the first floor is occupied by their computer center/tech lab). It's pretty quiet up here most of the time and the students keep to themselves. There are plenty of outlets on the third floor so you can plug in and recharge your laptop while you study. Plenty of seating as well - I like the ones that line the HUGE picturesque glass windows that overlook the parking lot, Goldenwest Street and beyond. You can see the mountain range far far in the backdrop on clearer days. A great plus is the strong wifi connection here and also that it was nicely ventilated/air conditioned - so it creates a nice refuge from the heat waves we've been having in the area lately. The staff/librarians here are friendly - I haven't had to use any of their services or expertise, but they're always cheerful/happy looking. Restrooms are clean for the most part - the ones on the 1st and 2nd floor tend to get messy throughout the door due to the traffic, the cleanest ones I feel, are on the 3rd floor as most students don't head up that high. Hours can be a bit better - maybe open later during the week and even have hours during the weekends if budget permits. Current hours - Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs - 8a to 845p and Fridays 8am to 3p.
