I've lived here for about nine months now. After finally getting approved (I think the website was…read morea little glitchy and due to opposite schedules, responses from management were a little delayed), things have been relatively smooth since we moved in! The apartments are beautiful. Any maintenance issues I've had have been promptly resolved within 48 hours. The one gripe I'm sure everyone has here is parking is very hard to find near your apartment after 5 pm (depending on where you live). Each apartment is granted one reserve spot and the other person needs to use an open spot which are hard to come by at some hours of the day. I've never been left without a spot completely but I have had to park on the opposite corner of the complex. One of my favorite parts is all of the events that the management team has started to put on! There was a wine tasting event, a painting lesson, among other things. There is something for everyone! The amenities are also awesome - I live at the pool during the summer. Overall, I would definitely recommend living here!

Unfortunately, the neighbors upstairs were very active late at night, often past 11pm, which made it hard for us to rest. Since both my husband and I work from home, we requested a transfer to a different apartment. Credit to the staff at the time--they were very helpful and arranged for us to move into a fourth-floor unit in a building with an elevator. However, this new apartment faces the rooftop lounge and pool area, where people often host gatherings and stay past 10pm (when the quiet hours start) on warmer days. Other ongoing issues include people smoking weed on the property. I've seen joints left in the stairways, and the smell can be overwhelming at times. Concierge trash issue with people leaving trash in the hallway outside the collection time. Finally, I have had repeated water damage issue in my bathroom. I requested it to be fixed multiple times. First time, they simply painted the wall with primer on top on the water damage. The second time, they brought in a fan to dry the wall, then replace the base board. Third time, they did the same again. Forth time, we reported it to the manager directly, and they finally brought in professional plumber to repair this properly. They opened the wall, brought in a dehumidifier, let everything dry inside, and closed everything up. It was quite a stressful process. Not to mention, the maintenance manager, Jorge, wrote two responses on our requests blaming us for the damage. I have never experienced maintenance team doing this in my past rental experiences, and I don't see a point to this "blaming" messages except to make us look bad to the new property manager. Now, I'm concerned when we move out, they will blame us on every single scratches in the apartment. I'm seriously considering terminating my lease at this point. It's not worth the stress. Overall, this property has potential but still has many areas for improvement. I hope my experience helps future residents make an informed decision.

When you view the unit it seems nice. Look again at the build quality...do the corners and trim…read moreline up. Do you see light through the door? Test you senses and do a sound test so you can tell how much sound carries from other rooms which can include your immediate neighbours and people in the hallway outside. They will hear you and you will hear them. Flush the low flow commodes and turn on the shower and water to be sure the water pressure is right for you, because it will not improve. Check the appliances to assure they work. Same for windows blinds and sills...are they clean? Is the place clean? Test the phone /internet sources...do they work in every room? Pay attention to your cell signal and see that your cell has reception inside as most apts don't have good reception. You might have to take calls in your car or outside. Walk around on the property and look at each of the garbage areas as some of the areas have big overflows of refuse each week. Listen to the outdoor sounds when you are inside the apartment. Car alarms at adjacent car dealers...sirens...trucks. Look at the carpet and if you move in make sure to vacuum and rake it every week to stop the cheap carpet from matting, because if it does...you will be charged for it when you leave. Be careful about your neighbours as if there are children, you are as good as living with them (sound). Low Income Tax Credit Property - if you plan to apply for a low income unit do this first: Go to the Ca State Treasurer site and read the *compliance* terms for this program...look at the max rents and income requirements. This company and the current Property Manager make a lot of mistakes in direction about how to properly complete the forms. They don't know the details they must know, so you have to get this data another way to avoid being blamed for noncompliance. The directions are attached to the forms provided at this site. This mistake thing is a huge issue with this company and the current Manager. The Manager, Linda is weird. She has no backbone to deal directly with issues and this results in every tenant concern being stated to other tenants by this manager. We have all heard from Linda about the concerns of fellow tenants. This is an amazingly manipulative behaviour -- for no other reason than the Manager refuses to directly address issues with a response that deals with that issue. This Manager also behaves by making repeat undermining statements to tenants about St. Anton and the Director of Property Management -- who is foolishly permitting this manipulation. This causes a lot of petty gossiping and tenants have been ganged up on by others at the manipulation of the Manager. This apparently is a long term well known Napa problem with this Manager who has a lengthy history of this undermining activity. So, know the pettiness and keep your head down. The way to avoid this is to avoid any direct contact with the Manager...work through the Leasing Consultant. Knowing this...if you continue to wish to live here...well? It is irritating. Our experience was bearable for a while, but as our children grew older we did not wish to expose them to the gossiping that was imitated and repeated by their local friends. We stopped their exposure to this caustic behaviour. We moved out. As for amenities...older computers, a tele , and a brief afternoon child program. The gym is tiny. We did not use it. The pool was good for our kids and it was clean. This is odd, but the Manager locks the door near the pool, so you have to walk to the main entrance on the other side of the building to refill your water or take advantage of the beverages offered. If there is an emergency...you have to run to the front of the building to get in...very weird for no apparent reason...perhaps not safe. Don't expect that contacting the Director will solve a concern. The woman is managing too many properties to engage so she ignores. The company should hand over Property Management to a management company, because it has grown too large and they don't have the talent to keep it in house. If you think you can live here for a while it will be fine, but know you will deal with all this stuff and more before you move on. Much of this can be managed by avoiding Manager contact and shutting down or keeping your distance from all gossip. If you have children, plan outings and control exposure.

First, if you do not have an assigned parking spot, be prepared for a first come, first serve situation that essentially makes you a prisoner in your own apartment. You pay rent and utilities just like everyone else, yet securing a parking spot is a daily stress with no guarantee. On top of that, we have dealt with a cockroach problem that has added to the frustration of living here. Getting management to respond to maintenance issues or concerns is a challenge in itself. Despite sending emails and following up repeatedly, there are issues in my apartment that remain unresolved to this day. But the most serious ongoing problem I am dealing with is a neighbor above me who plays drums -- and I mean full drums -- that can be heard and felt throughout my unit at any time of day. It does not matter whether it falls within quiet hours or not. I have been woken up, my walls have vibrated, and I have had zero peace or comfort in my own home. What makes this especially unacceptable is that a member of management personally came to my apartment and heard the drums firsthand. I was told it would be handled. It was not. I am still being woken up. I am still documenting. Nothing has changed. I have serious health issues, and sleep and rest are not optional for me -- they are medically necessary. This situation has affected my health directly. No tenant should ever feel anxious in their own home wondering if drums are going to start up again. No one should have to beg management repeatedly for basic peace and quiet. If you are considering living here and you have neighbors above you, please know that if those neighbors disturb you, management may not do enough to help you. I hope my experience spares someone else from going through what I have been through.
