I have tried almond cake with almond icing, lemon cake with strawberry icing and chocolate cake with chocolate icing. I barely tasted the almond flavor. The lemon cake had a good flavor, but I get distracted with how much sugar it tasted. Same comment goes with the chocolate with chocolate buttercream. Everything was just too sweet, even my husband who has a sweet tooth was not able to eat it and had the same comment. I wish to try their other baked goods.

The only thing that was edible for me was the toasted French bread and sweet tea. I won't be back to give them a second chance because all their dishes are spicy. Being that spicy is the only option I feel that this is not a good place for seasoned and tasty food. And if you are "Creole" and looking for Creole taste, don't do what I did and base your expectations on "Creole" meals that your used to eating. The decor is beautiful. The restaurant is clean. The owner was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the history behind the recipe, which has been passed down for generations. You can tell there's a lot of pride in what he does. Everything is made fresh. The entire place smells amazing with that warm, fresh baked aroma. It's a small, cozy, home like establishment that make you feel comfortable right away.
