Our very first RTJ golf trails - Silver Lakes Staffs are really nice. Marshals was very friendly and professional. His son was actually playing two groups behind us too. Both Backbreaker and Mindbreaker are very challenging. It is tough but fun with undaunted fairways, elevated and undulated greens. And the greens are lightning fast, no joke! Hole #7 really test your patience. I was supposed to get on 3, turned into a 6, got on the green, rolled off, repeat. I am going to have nightmares about this hole for a long time, and still loving it. We happened to play Silver Lakes on the nicest day so we were hoping to play the short course after 18. One of the most beautiful, yet tough golf courses in Alabama. Professional, personable staff.

This is near Gadsden Alabama and Jacksonville state university It is one of the famous TRAIL GOLF COURSES that run through out Alabama. (In my opinion this could be the best golf course in that area. Top notch. ). We were there in early March 2017 with our golf group. Was windy and unseasonably cold for March. Many snow birds pass through on the way to Auburn, ATL or even Florida. Under $70 For a round including a cart. Good deal. I have paid over $150 in Las Vegas for a course this challenging If you are passing through this area, stop in and look at this place. Have lunch and an adult beverage. Better yet, stop and play a round, they have three 9 hole courses. read more
