Stopped by to get some watch batteries replaced and they did it right then and I was able to leave... the store has tons of stuff inside (looks dated and old to me) but the guy helping was super friendly and helpful. I usually do not post reviews but I genuinely felt like if any spot needed a positive note - it would be this one. I needed an engraving on a sterling silver pendant and not only was it incredibly affordable but the gentleman who owned the shop did it right then and there. The craftsmanship was perfect, it was exactly what I was looking for! We did some shopping while waiting and found numerous pieces - all incredibly affordable and absolutely stunning. The shop owner and his wife made it a very personalized experience and were extremely attentive, kind and personable. I would gladly recommend this shop to anyone. I had some rings that needed to be resized and had done a lot of research in the DMV area. The pricing usually varies on the metal and stones but was referred to Silver Dolphin by a friend who had a good experience. I am SO happy I stopped by. This is a family-owned business and they could not be any sweeter and more knowledgeable. The main jeweler went through the rings that I wanted to resize and he meticulously looked at each one, being upfront about the ones that should/could be resized and ones that would compromise the metal and/or stone. Customer service was first class and consistent! I came in during the last 10 minutes of business and they changed a watch battery for me without issue. They even verified watch band size and updated the watch to current time and date. I observed another customer arrive and they took care of that customer in the same manner. Thanks to my community page and the reviews on Yelp, I found a fantastic and friendly jeweler. They are located in the Walmart shopping area. Their store sign just says 'JEWELER'. I can grab a sample slice of bread at Great Harvest, and drop off my jewelry. I don't need to wait in the store because it's next to a Walmart where I can spend tons of money on a bunch of household necessities! After wheeling my cart out, I just head over to pick up my jewelry! This whole experience made this a 5 star review. Upon entering, I was overwhelmed by the inventory of this little shop. My visit was for battery replacement on 4 watches! The jeweler was SO super friendly. I told him that I was 99% sure it was the battery but he also checked the movements to make sure they were ok. He was quick, friendly and pricing was very reasonable($15 for batteries and check-up). They also do engraving, make key duplicates, and sell TONS of cute things. read more

Oh wow! I forgot to give this place it's well deserved 5 stars! The gentleman who works there was so kind, efficient, and honest! I went in to change out two watch batteries; one for a generic watch, and one for a eco-drive watch that recharges via light. I thought the rechargeable battery was dead (it's also about $80 to replace) and needed to be replaced. He suggested I wear it in the light for about 5 minutes before replacing it and voila! it works! Thank you!!! I'll definitely be coming back and in fact, remembered to review the Silver Dolphin because I need a different watch's battery to be replaced. LOL. read more

My experience at Silver dolphin could not have gone any better! I needed a battery replacement for my for one of my favorite watches. I was in and out of the door in 15 minutes. After replacing my battery they set the Time and date on the watch. Additionally, I was given a coupon for a 10% discount to be used for future purchases. Extremely helpful. Fit and installed a new watch band for my pebble smart watch. He immediately came to the counter when I walked in, showed me all of the watch band options, then custom cut the band to ensure it fit me perfectly. There were lots of watch band options, probably went into the 100s. It is also worth noting that the installation was free after you purchased the band. I don't know about the jewelry part (since I'm a guy) but I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for watch repair or new watch bands. read more

Bought a new watch battery last year here. Replaced it less than a year later (watch batteries usually last 2-3 years) last month. Battery died again this week (after less than a month) and took watch to a different, more trusted jeweler. When he opened my watch up he found a broken gasket - not sure if Silver Dolphin broke it or just failed to tell me about it. They also scratched the back of my watch when they replaced the battery. Regardless, I won't be going back. read more
