We were staying at a hotel in Richmond, saw the good reviews of Richmond Greenhouse and Flowers Shop online and went to see them at 10 a.m. By 2:30 they had created this beautiful display, having coordinated with the funeral home to make sure the size was appropriate. And the price was very reasonable. Everybody was impressed by their work. They really saved the day for us!

There is a farmer's market in Richmond once a week on EKU's campus on Thursday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the basketball coliseum just off the Eastern Bypass. The market is also open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. at 1238 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond KY 40475. You can call 978-387-0393 for more details. For what it's worth I save 20 to 35 percent and pick up my produce at my local grocery store which tends to have the same or even better quality produce. The flowers they have look as good as any I could find in the area but you can save up to 50 percent by shopping around. If your on a budget I would definitely avoid this place. God bless and good luck.

I can do a few things but removing the roots of a large bush was something I didn't want to attempt by myself. Big T's estimated $120 to remove the dead bush and put in a new one. He came out in a car to do it (I missed him, saw the car driving away). That should have told me something. He scooped the dead bush out and left its roots; I only discovered this fact a few days later when I went to remove the tiny boxwood he'd installed so I could move it someplace it would be useful. By then I'd paid the $120. I wish I could post a photo here. The boxwood was about a foot tall, but the worst part was that he put it close to the barberry on the left instead of centering it. He claimed he did that because we'd agreed it should be centered between the windows. I certainly never asked for that, but I had nothing in writing. Did he actually plant it where he did because he hadn't removed the old bush's roots? You can draw your own conclusion, but instead of offering to make it right when I called about it, he argued with me and said my yard looked bad anyway. So, I would grade Big T's an F for the work, C for the product (the little boxwood does look nice where I moved it on the side of the house), and F- for customer service. One star because I was able to use the shrub elsewhere. We definitely won't be using them again.

I selected 2 coloring books and thought that I was going to be done in a few minutes because there were only a couple of people in line ahead of me. The elderly cashier kept having trouble with the register. I first thought that it was just a system issue, but the elderly cashier eventually blurted out that she had not been properly trained on the register and did not know how to use it. By that time, I had been in line for about 15 minutes. Instead of calling a supervisor for help, the elderly cashier kept fruitlessly pecking at the register trying to get it to work. My husband texted me to tell me that he was finished, so I put the coloring books on a display near the register and attempted to walk out. The elderly cashier saw me and threw a total tantrum about how I should put the coloring books back where I got them from. I told her that the situation was her fault, so an employee should put them back. I also told her that the last time that I stocked books at an Ollie's store was for a brief month of employment at an Ollie's store in the northeast over 20 years ago when I was trying to pay the bills before I got a much higher paying job at a bank call center, and I sure as heck was not going to do my old job for free. She still balked at me, but I then told her that I now have a master's degree and that the only way that I would put the books back was if the store paid me my current hourly wage of $30 an hour. I was so mad at her that I almost flipped her the bird as I walked out. Ollie's was bad 20 years ago, and it has gotten even worse as the company has expanded.
