The installation was completed and within a week, 6 of the plants were dying. See photos. I called several times and were told to "give it a week or two". They continued to get worse. I received the final bill, having placed a substantial deposit previously. I was hesitant to pay the final portion because of the dying plants and their unwillingness to help me. I called again and told them I wasn't paying for those plants because they looked awful. The owner finally called me back. He was curt and argumentative, refusing to address the issue until the bill was paid in full. We argued, at times heated, about whether I should have to pay for dead plants. He showed up the next day and removed the dying plants, saying that they were not dying and that he would resell them to someone else. See photos and judge for yourself. Tom left my garden bed with the holes and other dead branches. I would strongly recommend NOT using this landscape company. Their policies are suspect and their customer service is absolutely awful. Don't trust them or their warranty, as other posts have stated.

I can do a few things but removing the roots of a large bush was something I didn't want to attempt by myself. Big T's estimated $120 to remove the dead bush and put in a new one. He came out in a car to do it (I missed him, saw the car driving away). That should have told me something. He scooped the dead bush out and left its roots; I only discovered this fact a few days later when I went to remove the tiny boxwood he'd installed so I could move it someplace it would be useful. By then I'd paid the $120. I wish I could post a photo here. The boxwood was about a foot tall, but the worst part was that he put it close to the barberry on the left instead of centering it. He claimed he did that because we'd agreed it should be centered between the windows. I certainly never asked for that, but I had nothing in writing. Did he actually plant it where he did because he hadn't removed the old bush's roots? You can draw your own conclusion, but instead of offering to make it right when I called about it, he argued with me and said my yard looked bad anyway. So, I would grade Big T's an F for the work, C for the product (the little boxwood does look nice where I moved it on the side of the house), and F- for customer service. Completely overpriced flowers fruit and other things that are supposed to be farm fresh. They are a…read morereseller of these goods and therefore pass on any increase in price to the customer. I suggest cutting out the middleman going directly to the nurseries or farms in the local area and you will save money and you will also will get better product to boot. There is a farmer's market in Richmond once a week on EKU's campus on Thursday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the basketball coliseum just off the Eastern Bypass. The market is also open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. at 1238 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond KY 40475. You can call 978-387-0393 for more details. For what it's worth I save 20 to 35 percent and pick up my produce at my local grocery store which tends to have the same or even better quality produce. The flowers they have look as good as any I could find in the area but you can save up to 50 percent by shopping around. If your on a budget I would definitely avoid this place. When you show them proof that you OVERPAID (after they have done everything but call you a liar and harass you), they end with "well, everyone makes mistakes," but will not refund your overpayment. (Notice, they do this as the season dwindles to a close and Christmas is coming up). They also tore several holes in my yard as they always tried to mow my 1.5 acres in less than 20 minutes. Further, they had to be reminded over and over to weed eat around trees and blow off the trimmings on our sidewalk and patio. I'm sure there are other, better businesses to support in our community of people who truly "care" about their customers.
