HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Truly the only electrician I will ever hire to do future work on my house, and I promise you if you work with him just once you'll feel the same way. Professional, communicative, knowledgeable, punctual, legitimately a pleasure to work with. My wife and I own a home in northern Hamden, and we hired Kevin to upgrade our 100 Amp house to 200 Amp service, including a transfer switch for a generator and new conduit to the main box in the basement. We bid it out to a handful of folks, and Kevin was BY FAR the best price, as well as the most considerate of and attentive to our preferences about the project's details. His installation was flawless. Truly both a phenomenal electrician and an outstanding human. Highest possible recommendation. Whether it's for one light fixture or an entire building, Kevin is your guy. read more

Silver City Electric was fantastic. For me it not so much about simply doing the agreed upon work, but it's HOW the work is done...the experience. Of course you worry about using a newer company, but Kevin Gerace of Silver City Electric carries himself like a long time electrician and business owner. He arrived and did what he said he was going to do efficiently and with great quality. He actually completed everything under budget! Not only that, it's hard to have "workers" in my home when I'm not there and especially if my wife is home alone. With Kevin, any worries were quickly gone as I could see that honesty and integrity meant as much to him as doing fine work. Bottom line is this, if you need electrical work done, do not hesitate considering Silver City Electric. Sometimes the new company is the one that tries harder. read more

I am a former coworker of the owner of Silver City Electric, Kevin. I can say from experience, that he is the best electrician iv worked with. He always does a great job and iv never heard anyone say anythjng bad about his work. Doesn't matter if it's "easy" or something that takes a lot of hard work, he always exceedes expectations. Aside from his craftsmanship, Kevin is a great person. He's extremely and eager to please. If your looking for someone to not only do a quality job ,but also make you feel like your talking to a down to earth person and not some sort of big shot I would urge you to go with Silver City. Kevin can do it all. You can take my word for it, but I suggest you test him yourself. You will not find a better electrician in this area I can promise you that. - Tom Oppelt read more

Needed a complete makeover of the electrical system in the house from low voltage to regular. I found Kevin (Silver City Electric) online and reviews such as this one. Kevin not only did this work but replaced two electrical boxes and redesigned the electrical layout in the kitchen renovation we were doing at the same time. Kevin did exceptional work. His prices were exceedingly fair and he completed the job on time. Kevin is a great person to work with as he was receptive to changes that we made through the course of a number of weeks of work. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone needing electrical work. You will find no one better!! read more

We are thrilled with the results of the work that Kevin (Silver City Electric) delivered! We needed a light post out on our front walk. He was in contact with us making sure he knew what we needed by stopping by to access the job and following up to set the date of installation. He was able to coordinate the new light with an existing lamp post in the rear of our yard giving us the safety and access we desired for both areas. He was thorough in his installation and cleaned up everything at the end of the job. When we need an electrician again he is the one we will call. Thank you for helping us! read more

Kevin was amazing! He was able to come out for an estimate on a Friday and start work that Monday. He worked along side other contractors with ease and was extremely tidy. He was able to install all the recessed lighting with minimal damage to the walls and ceiling which was required to run wiring. Compared to what other electricians told us they would have to cut, he left the least amount of work to repair. The lighting looks amazing and we are so happy with his work that we will be calling him again really soon for more work that we are wanting done. read more

Absolutely excellent work and service. A recent storm downed a tree in my yard taking my power and data cables down, along with the meter and conduit running power to the house. Kevin got back to me right away, and took care of everything for me without me even needing to leave work. Everything was good to go when I got home, and I'm very happy with the work. I'll definitely be using Kevin & Silver City for all of my future electrical projects. read more

We've used Kevin for a variety of jobs. We had him do recessed lighting, upgrade our electrical panel, install wiring for a home theater system, install an outlet for our microwave, and install electric heat in one of our upstairs rooms. Kevin pays attention to detail while on the job, and also after for the clean up. Hi is trustworthy and you know the job is in capable hands. I'd recommend him to anyone. read more
