As a first time parent, I was skeptical about newborn photos. Sure I've seen family and friends take them but I wasn't convinced that I wanted to spend the time or the money to have them for our child. After all, I have a phone and a DSLR. However, my partner was adamant that we get some and I quickly obliged(happy spouse, happy house). Our birth plan took a huge turn when my partner needed an emergency C section and our child ended up in the NICU. As the bills rolled in and the recover was harder and more arduous then expected, we highly considered cutting our losses and cancelling the photo session due to the stress and trauma of birth. But, that's not where this story ends. Hillarry (Silver Bee Photography) was both accommodating and responsive. We corresponded by email and she was flexible with our schedule. At the newborn session, HIllarry was warm and friendly. Her studio is beautifully equipped and she has a sitting area with water and bathroom for the parents. She helped direct us and was firm but not pushy. Baby Whisper is what I read in other reviews and that could not be more true. Our child was relaxed with Hillarry and the photo session seemed to fly by. We got some family photos along with our newborn ones. Photos were sent out a couple weeks after and they are beautiful!! I am so happy that we ended up doing this photo session with Hillarry(Silver Bee Photography). She is incredible patient and has a keen eye for photography. It is tough, now a days, to find people who are truly passionate about their field/profession. As first time parents, we were exhausted and photos of our newborn were the last thing on our minds. My sister gifted us the newborn package (as a surprise) with Hillarry and I'm so thankful she did. Hillarry was amazing from our initial conversation to the end of the session. For us personally, we were comfortable with her taking the reins and she handled our newborn like a rockstar! We didn't have to do anything during the session and really just got to be flies on the wall while she worked her magic taking photos of our baby. From taking the baby out of the car seat, feeding and keeping us posted on voids/bowel movements throughout the session we barely heard a peep out of our little one and now I see why she's dubbed the "baby whisperer"! The seating area where we waited was quiet and pretty comfortable. To be honest, we both dozed off here and there throughout the session. I definitely recommend bringing snacks or something to do since you'll have time to yourself while she works with the baby. And for my postpartum mamas - the restroom did have a few feminine products which was a nice touch! Overall we really enjoyed our session with her and would highly recommend her services! read more

I started working with Hillarry when I wanted to take maternity photos. Unfortunately, I went into labor earlier than expected and wasn't able to get those done, but I've used her newborn photo services with my 10-day-old son, which turned out beautiful! While I was taking a nap, the 3-hour photo session went wonderful and quiet. We created a photo album from the photos and hung them up in our hallway.
