He finally returned my call days later and explained that he had been busy. My rings were finally done after more than 2 weeks. When I expressed dissatisfaction, he proceeded to berate me. According to him, 99.99999% of women wear their rings the way he soldered mine. He wished that I had told him how I wanted them soldered. Positioning of the rings was never discussed. It seems to me that Frank should have brought this matter up rather than assuming. Customer service is clearly not in Frank's wheelhouse. My brother-in-law and nephew came along, but this was strictly my deal -- they were just along for the ride. I was really happy with how smoothly everything went. The staff treated me well, and I walked out with a nice mix of store credit and cash in my pocket. I didn't make a big fuss or smile too much because I didn't want my family thinking I was getting any kind of special treatment. They actually thought I was crazy for making the trade at all, but that's okay -- it was my stuff, and I'm the one who decides. I wasn't trying to get rich or score a huge payday; I'd just gotten bored with it all and wanted it gone. Sound Go Round handled everything fairly and professionally. The heals were crap- it was a long shot for me. But I purchased them cheap and figured why not? I brought them in, they promised nothing, I expected little- and HOLY CRAP- they are gorgeous. The boots look brand new. The price? $80 bucks. Seriously? These boots will now last me forever. Not only are they masters in leather repair, but they are reasonably priced, always open and- ready for it- Nice people. I was rather impressed, in fact, with their model rocket stock -- lots of folks carry Estes, but they had a bunch of Quest stuff, and a wide selection of engines and accessories. And prices were pretty competitive. They had brochures for the Syracuse Rocket Club, 60 miles away! I had stopped by for a few minutes on my way south, and the staff was super-friendly to this rando walking in the door. It looks like I have yet another reason to go down to Binghamton a bit more often!
